Sura 85 - Al-Burooj

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
85:1
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ
*Naapa kwa mbingu yenye Buruji!
*By the heaven with its houses,
85:2
وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ
*Na kwa siku iliyo ahidiwa!
*by the Promised Day,
85:3
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
*Na kwa shahidi na kinacho shuhudiwa!
*by the Witness and the Witnessed:
85:4
قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ
*Wameangamizwa watu wa makhandaki
*perish the People of the Ditch!
85:5
النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ
*Yenye moto wenye kuni nyingi,
*The fire, abounding in fuel,
85:6
إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ
*Walipo kuwa wamekaa hapo,
*above which they sat
85:7
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ
*Na wao ni mashahidi wa yale waliyo kuwa wakiwafanyia Waumini.
*and were themselves witness to what they did to the faithful.
85:8
وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ
*Nao hawakuona baya lolote kwao ila kuwa wakimuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwenye nguvu, Msifiwa,
*They were vindictive towards them only because they had faith in God, the All-mighty and the All-laudable,
85:9
الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
*Ambaye anao ufalme wa mbingu na ardhi; na Mwenyezi Mungu ni shaahidi wa kila kitu.
*to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is witness to all things.
85:10
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ
*Hakika walio wafitini Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake, kisha hawakutubu, basi watapata adhabu ya Jahannamu na watapata adhabu ya kuungua.
*Indeed, those who persecute the faithful men and women and do not repent thereafter, there is for them the punishment of hell and the punishment of burning.
85:11
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ
*Hakika walio amini na wakatenda mema watapata Bustani zenye mito ipitayo kati yake. Huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*Indeed, those who have faith and do righteous deeds, —for them will be gardens with streams running in them. That is the supreme triumph.
85:12
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
*Hakika kutesa kwa Mola wako Mlezi ni kukali.
*Your Lord’s seizing is indeed severe.
85:13
إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
*Yeye ndiye anaye anzisha na ndiye anaye rejeza tena,
*It is He who initiates the creation and brings it back,
85:14
وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ
*Naye ni Mwenye kusamehe, Mwenye mapenzi,
*and He is the All-forgiving, the All-affectionate,
85:15
ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ
*Mwenye Kiti cha Enzi, Mtukufu,
*Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious,
85:16
فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ
*Atendaye ayatakayo.
*doer of what He desires.
85:17
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ
*Je! Zimekuwasilia khabari za majeshi?
*Did you receive the story of the hosts
85:18
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ
*Ya Firauni na Thamudi?
*of Pharaoh and Thamūd?
85:19
بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ
*Lakini walio kufuru wamo katika kukadhibisha.
*The faithless indeed dwell in denial
85:20
وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu nyuma yao amewazunguka.
*and God besieges them from all around.
85:21
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ
*Bali hii ni Qur´ani tukufu
*It is indeed a glorious Qur’ān,
85:22
فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ
*Katika Ubao Ulio Hifadhiwa.
*in a preserved tablet.
