Sura 48 - Al-Fath

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
48:1
إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا
*Hakika tumekufungulia Ushindi wa dhaahiri
*We have indeed inaugurated for you a clear victory,
48:2
لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا
*Ili Mwenyezi Mungu akusamehe makosa yako yaliyo tangulia na yajayo, na akutimizie neema zake, na akuongoe katika Njia Iliyo Nyooka,
*that God may forgive you what is past of your sin and what is to come, and that He may perfect His blessing upon you and guide you on a straight path,
48:3
وَيَنْصُرَكَ اللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu akunusuru nusura yenye nguvu -
*and God will help you with a mighty help.
48:4
هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِيمَانًا مَعَ إِيمَانِهِمْ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
*Yeye ndiye aliye teremsha utulivu katika nyoyo za Waumini ili wazidi Imani juu ya Imani yao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye mwenye majeshi ya mbingu na ardhi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye ujuzi, Mwenye hikima -
*It is He who sent down composure into the hearts of the faithful that they might enhance in their faith. To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and God is all-knowing, all-wise.
48:5
لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
*Ili awaingize Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake katika Bustani zipitazo mito kati yake, wadumu humo, na awafutie makosa yao. Na huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu.
*That He may admit the faithful, men and women, into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them, and that He may absolve them of their misdeeds. That is a great triumph with God.
48:6
وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ وَالْمُشْرِكَاتِ الظَّانِّينَ بِاللَّهِ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ ۖ وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا
*Na awape adhabu wanaafiki wanaume na wanaafiki wanawake, na washirikina wanaume na washirikina wanawake, wanao mdhania Mwenyezi Mungu dhana mbaya. Utawafikia mgeuko mbaya, na Mwenyezi Mungu awakasirikie, na awalaani, na awaandalie Jahannamu. Na hayo ni marudio maovu kabisa.
*That He may punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the polytheists, men and women, who entertain a bad opinion of God. For them shall be an adverse turn of fortune: God is wrathful with them and He has cursed them, and prepared hell for them, and it is an evil destination.
48:7
وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu ana majeshi ya mbingu na ardhi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.
*To God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and God is all-mighty, all-wise.
48:8
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا
*Hakika tumekutuma wewe uwe Shahidi, na Mbashiri, na Mwonyaji,
*We have indeed sent you as a witness, and as a bearer of good news and warner,
48:9
لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
*Ili mumuamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, na mumsaidie, na mumhishimu, na mumtakase asubuhi na jioni.
*that you may have faith in God and His Apostle, and that you may support him and revere him, and that you may glorify Him morning and evening.
48:10
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّهَ يَدُ اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۚ فَمَنْ نَكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنْكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِمَا عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهُ اللَّهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Bila ya shaka wanao fungamana nawe, kwa hakika wanafungamana na Mwenyezi Mungu. Mkono wa Mwenyezi Mungu uko juu ya mikono yao. Basi avunjaye ahadi hizi anavunja kwa kuidhuru nafsi yake; na anaye tekeleza aliyo muahadi Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwenyezi Mungu atamlipa ujira mkubwa.
*Indeed, those who swear allegiance to you, swear allegiance only to God: the hand of God is above their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath, breaks it only to his own detriment, and whoever fulfills the covenant he has made with God, He will give him a great reward.
48:11
سَيَقُولُ لَكَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَا أَمْوَالُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ مَا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَمَنْ يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ بَلْ كَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا
*Watakuambia mabedui walio baki nyuma: Yametushughulisha mali yetu na ahali zetu, basi tuombee msamaha. Wanasema kwa ndimi zao yasiyo kuwamo katika nyoyo zao. Sema: Ni nani awezaye kukusaidieni chochote kwa Mwenyezi Mungu akitaka Yeye kukudhuruni au akitaka kukunufaisheni? Bali Mwenyezi Mungu anazo khabari za mnayo yatenda.
*The Bedouins who had stayed back will tell you, ‘Our possessions and families kept us occupied. So plead to God for our forgiveness!’ They will say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say, ‘Who can be of any avail to you against God, should He desire to cause you harm, or desire to bring you benefit? God is indeed well aware of what you do.’
48:12
بَلْ ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنْ لَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنْتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا بُورًا
*Lakini mlidhani kwamba Mtume na Waumini hawatarudi kabisa kwa ahali zao, na mkapambiwa hayo katika nyoyo zenu, na mkadhania dhana mbaya, na mkawa watu wanao angamia.
*Rather, you thought that the Apostle and the faithful will not return to their folk ever and that was made to seem decorous to your hearts, and you entertained evil thoughts and you were a ruined lot.
48:13
وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيرًا
*Na asiye muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, basi kwa hakika Sisi tumewaandalia makafiri Moto mkali.
*Those who have no faith in God and His Apostle [should know that We have prepared a blaze for the faithless.
48:14
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye mwenye ufalme wa mbingu na ardhi. Humsamehe amtakaye, na humuadhibu amtakaye. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe, Mwenye kurehemu.
*To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth: He forgives whomever He wishes and punishes whomever He wishes, and God is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
48:15
سَيَقُولُ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا انْطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ ۖ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُبَدِّلُوا كَلَامَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ لَنْ تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَٰلِكُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
*Walio baki nyuma watasema: Mtapo kwenda kuchukua ngawira, tuacheni tukufuateni! Wanataka kuyabadili maneno ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Sema: Hamtatufuata kabisa. Mwenyezi Mungu alikwisha sema kama hivi zamani. Hapo watasema: Bali nyinyi mnatuhusudu. Siyo, bali walikuwa hawafahamu ila kidogo.
*Those who stayed behind [in this journey] will say, when you set out to capture booty [in the near future]: ‘Let us follow you.’ They desire to change the word of God. Say, ‘You will not follow us! God has said this beforehand.’ Then they will say, ‘You are envious of us.’ Indeed, they do not understand but a little!
48:16
قُلْ لِلْمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ سَتُدْعَوْنَ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ أُولِي بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ تُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ أَوْ يُسْلِمُونَ ۖ فَإِنْ تُطِيعُوا يُؤْتِكُمُ اللَّهُ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا ۖ وَإِنْ تَتَوَلَّوْا كَمَا تَوَلَّيْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Waambie walio achwa nyuma katika mabedui: Mtakuja itwa kwenda pigana na watu wakali kwa vita, mpigane nao au wasalimu amri. Basi mkimt´ii, Mwenyezi Mungu atakupeni ujira mzuri. Na mkigeuka kama mlivyo geuka kwanza, atakuadhibuni kwa adhabu iliyo chungu.
*Say to the Bedouins who stayed behind, ‘Later on, you will be called against a people of great might: they will either embrace Islam, or you will fight them. So if you obey, God will give you a good reward; but if you turn away like you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.’
48:17
لَيْسَ عَلَى الْأَعْمَىٰ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌ ۗ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Kipofu hana lawama, wala kiguru hana lawama, wala mgonjwa hana lawama. Na mwenye kumt´ii Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, atamuingiza katika Mabustani yapitayo mito kati yake. Na atakaye geuka upande atamuadhibu kwa adhabu chungu.
*There is no blame on the blind, nor is there any blame on the lame, nor is there blame on the sick [if they stay back]; and whoever obeys God and His Apostle, He will admit him into gardens with streams running in them, and whoever turns away, He will punish him with a painful punishment.
48:18
لَقَدْ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَابَهُمْ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا
*Kwa hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amewapa radhi Waumini walipo fungamana nawe chini ya mti, na alijua yaliyomo nyoyoni mwao. Basi akateremsha utulivu juu yao, na akawalipa kwa Ushindi wa karibu.
*God was certainly pleased with the faithful when they swore allegiance to you under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down composure on them, and requited them with a victory near at hand
48:19
وَمَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةً يَأْخُذُونَهَا ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا
*Na ngawira nyingi watakazo zichukua. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.
*and abundant spoils that they will capture, and God is all-mighty, all-wise.
48:20
وَعَدَكُمُ اللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةً تَأْخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمْ هَٰذِهِ وَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَ النَّاسِ عَنْكُمْ وَلِتَكُونَ آيَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمًا
*Mwenyezi Mungu anakuahidini ngawira nyingi mtakazo zichukua, basi amekutangulizieni hizi kwanza, na akaizuia mikono ya watu isikufikieni, na ili hayo yawe ni Ishara kwa Waumini, na akakuongozeni Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*God has promised you abundant spoils which you will capture. He has expedited this one for you and withheld men’s hands from you, so that it may be a sign for the faithful and that He may guide you to a straight path.
48:21
وَأُخْرَىٰ لَمْ تَقْدِرُوا عَلَيْهَا قَدْ أَحَاطَ اللَّهُ بِهَا ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرًا
*Na mengine hamwezi kuyapata bado, Mwenyezi Mungu amekwisha yazingia. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Muweza wa kila kitu.
*And other spoils as well which you have not yet captured: God has comprehended them and God has power over all things.
48:22
وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
*Na lau makafiri wangeli pigana nanyi basi bila ya shaka wangeli geuza migongo, kisha wasingeli pata mlinzi wala msaidizi.
*If the faithless fight you, they will turn their backs to flee. Then they will not find any friend or helper.
48:23
سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا
*Huo ndio mwendo wa Mwenyezi Mungu ulio kwisha pita zamani, wala hutapata mabadiliko katika mwendo wa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*It is God’s precedent that has passed before, and you will never find any change in God’s precedents.
48:24
وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا
*Na Yeye ndiye aliyeizuia mikono yao kwenu, na mikono yenu kwao, katika bonde la Makka baada ya kukupeni Ushindi juu yao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuyaona myatendayo.
*It is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Makkah after He had given you victory over them, and God sees best what you do.
48:25
هُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْهَدْيَ مَعْكُوفًا أَنْ يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَاءٌ مُؤْمِنَاتٌ لَمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَنْ تَطَئُوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُمْ مِنْهُمْ مَعَرَّةٌ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۖ لِيُدْخِلَ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
*Hao ndio walio kufuru na wakakuzuieni msiingie Msikiti Mtakatifu, na wakawazuilia dhabihu kufika mahala pao. Na lau si wanaume Waumini na wanawake Waumini msio wajua mkawasaga na mkaingia makosani kutokana nao bila ya kujua ...Mwenyezi Mungu (amefanya haya) ili amuingize amtakaye katika rehema yake. Lau wangeli tengana bila ya shaka tungeli waadhibu walio kufuru kwa adhabu chungu.
*They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and kept the offering from reaching its destination. And were it not for certain faithful men and faithful women, whom you did not know —lest you should trample them and thus the blame for killing them should fall on you unawares— . . .; [He held you back] so that God may admit into His mercy whomever He wishes. Had they been separate, We would have surely punished the faithless among them with a painful punishment.
48:26
إِذْ جَعَلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوَىٰ وَكَانُوا أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا
*Pale walio kufuru walipo tia katika nyoyo zao hasira, hasira za kijinga, Mwenyezi Mungu aliteremsha utulivu juu ya Mtume wake na juu ya Waumini, na akawalazimisha neno la kuchamngu. Na wao walikuwa ndio wenye haki nalo na wenye kustahili. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa kila kitu.
*When the faithless nourished bigotry in their hearts, the bigotry of pagan ignorance, God sent down His composure upon His Apostle and the faithful, and made them abide by the word of Godwariness, for they were the worthiest of it and deserved it, and God has knowledge of all things.
48:27
لَقَدْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ الرُّؤْيَا بِالْحَقِّ ۖ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ آمِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ ۖ فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا فَجَعَلَ مِنْ دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amemtimizia Mtume wake ndoto ya haki. Bila ya shaka nyinyi mtauingia Msikiti Mtakatifu, Inshallah, kwa amani, na hali mmenyoa vichwa vyenu na mmepunguza nywele. Hamtakuwa na khofu. Yeye anajua msiyo yajua. Basi atakupeni kabla ya haya Ushindi karibuni.
*Certainly God has fulfilled His Apostle’s vision in all truth: God willing, you will surely enter the Sacred Mosque, in safety, with your heads shaven or hair cropped, without any fear. So He knew what you did not know, and He assigned you besides that a victory near at hand.
48:28
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا
*Yeye ndiye aliye mtuma Mtume wake kwa uwongofu na Dini ya Haki, ili aitukuze juu ya dini zote. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anatosha kuwa Shahidi.
*It is He who has sent His Apostle with guidance and the true religion that He may make it prevail over all religions, and God suffices as witness.
48:29
مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا ۖ سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ ۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ ۗ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُمْ مَغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
*Muhammad ni Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na walio pamoja naye wana nguvu mbele ya makafiri, na wanahurumiana wao kwa wao. Utawaona wakiinama na kusujudu wakitafuta fadhila na radhi za Mwenyezi Mungu. Alama zao zi katika nyuso zao, kwa athari ya kusujudu. Huu ndio mfano wao katika Taurati. Na mfano wao katika Injili ni kama mmea ulio toa chipukizi lake, kisha ukalitia nguvu, ukawa mnene, ukasimama sawa juu ya ubuwa wake, ukawafurahisha wakulima, ili kuwakasirisha kwa ajili yao makafiri. Mwenyezi Mungu amewaahidi walio amini na wakatenda mema katika wao msamaha na ujira mkubwa.
*Muḥammad, the Apostle of God, and those who are with him are hard against the faithless and merciful amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating in worship, seeking God’s grace and His pleasure. Their mark is visible on their faces, from the effect of prostration. Such is their description in the Torah and their description in the Evangel. Like a tillage that sends out its shoots and builds them up, and they grow stout and settle on their stalks, impressing the sowers, so that He may enrage the faithless by them. God has promised those of them who have faith and do righteous deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
