Sura 47 - Muhammad

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
47:1
الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Walio kufuru na wakazuilia njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, Yeye atavipotoa vitendo vyao.
*Those who are themselves faithless and bar others from the way of God —He will make their works go to waste.
47:2
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَآمَنُوا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ
*Na walio amini, na wakatenda mema, na wakaamini aliyo teremshiwa Muhammad - nayo ni Haki iliyo toka kwa Mola wao Mlezi - atawafutia makosa yao na ataitengeneza hali yao.
*But those who have faith and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down to Muḥammad —and it is the truth from their Lord— He shall absolve them of their misdeeds and set right their affairs.
47:3
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْبَاطِلَ وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْحَقَّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَالَهُمْ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu walio kufuru wamefuata upotovu, na walio amini wamefuata Haki iliyo toka kwa Mola wao Mlezi. Hivyo ndivyo Mwenyezi Mungu anavyo wapigia watu mifano yao.
*That is because the faithless follow falsehood and those who have faith follow the truth from their Lord. That is how God draws comparisons for mankind.
47:4
فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَضَرْبَ الرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَثْخَنْتُمُوهُمْ فَشُدُّوا الْوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنًّا بَعْدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَاءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لَانْتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَ بَعْضَكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَنْ يُضِلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Basi mnapo wakuta walio kufuru wapigeni shingoni mwao, mpaka mkiwadhoofisha wafungeni pingu. Tena waachilieni kwa hisani au wajikomboe, mpaka vita vipoe. Ndio hivyo. Na lau angeli taka Mwenyezi Mungu angeli washinda mwenyewe, lakini haya ni kwa sababu akutieni mitihani nyinyi kwa nyinyi. Na walio uliwa katika njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu hatazipoteza a´mali zao.
*When you meet the faithless in battle, strike their necks. When you have thoroughly decimated them, bind the captives firmly. Thereafter, either oblige them [by setting them free], or take ransom, until the war lays down its burdens. That [is God’s ordinance]. Had God wished He could have taken vengeance on them, but that He may test some of you by means of others. As for those who were slain in the way of God, He will not let their works go to waste.
47:5
سَيَهْدِيهِمْ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَهُمْ
*Atawaongoza na awatengezee hali yao.
*He will guide them and set right their affairs
47:6
وَيُدْخِلُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمْ
*Na atawaingiza katika Pepo aliyo wajuulisha.
*and admit them into paradise with which He has acquainted them.
47:7
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mkimnusuru Mwenyezi Mungu naye atakunusuruni na ataithibitisha miguu yenu.
*O you who have faith! If you help God, He will help you and make your feet steady.
47:8
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَتَعْسًا لَهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Na walio kufuru, basi kwao ni maangamizo, na atavipoteza vitendo vyao.
*As for the faithless, their lot will be to fall into ruin, and He will make their works go to waste.
47:9
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu waliyachukia aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu, basi akaviangusha vitendo vyao.
*That is because they loathed what God has sent down, so He made their works fail.
47:10
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ دَمَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ أَمْثَالُهَا
*Kwani hawakutembea katika ardhi wakaona ulikuwaje mwisho wa walio kuwa kabla yao? Mwenyezi Mungu aliwaangamiza, na kwa makafiri hawa itakuwa mfano wa hayo.
*Have they not traveled through the land to observe how was the fate of those who were before them? God destroyed them and a similar fate awaits these faithless.
47:11
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَأَنَّ الْكَافِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mlinzi wa walio amini. Na makafiri hawana mlinzi.
*That is because God is the protector of the faithful, and because the faithless have no protector.
47:12
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْأَنْعَامُ وَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَهُمْ
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu atawaingiza walio amini na wakatenda mema katika Bustani zipitiwazo na mito kati yake. Na walio kufuru hujifurahisha na hula kama walavyo wanyama, na Moto ndio makaazi yao.
*God will indeed admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them. As for the faithless, they enjoy and eat like the cattle do and the Fire will be their final abode.
47:13
وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِنْ قَرْيَتِكَ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ
*Na miji mingapi iliyo kuwa na nguvu zaidi kuliko mji wako huu ulio kutoa; nao tuliwateketeza na wala hawakuwa wa kuwanusuru.
*How many a town there has been which was more powerful than your town which expelled you, which We have destroyed, and they had no helper.
47:14
أَفَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ كَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ
*Je! Mwenye kuwa na bayana kutoka kwa Mola wake Mlezi ni kama aliye pambiwa uovu wa vitendo vyake, na wakafuata pumbao lao?
*Is he who stands on a clear proof from his Lord like those to whom the evil of their conduct is made to seem decorous and who follow their base desires?
47:15
مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ۖ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِنْ عَسَلٍ مُصَفًّى ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَالِدٌ فِي النَّارِ وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ
*Mfano wa Pepo walio ahidiwa wachamngu ina mito ya maji yasiyo vunda, na mito ya maziwa isiyo haribika ladha yake, na mito ya mvinyo yenye ladha kwa wanywao, na mito ya asali iliyo safishwa. Na wao humo watakuwa na kila namna ya matunda, na maghfira kutoka kwa Mola wao Mlezi. Basi hao ni kama watakao dumu Motoni na wakinyweshwa maji yanayo chemka ya kuwakata matumbo yao?
*A description of the paradise promised to the Godwary: therein are streams of unstaling water and streams of milk unchanging in flavour, and streams of wine delicious to the drinkers, and streams of purified honey; there will be every kind of fruit for them in it, and forgiveness from their Lord. Are such ones like those who abide in the Fire and are given to drink boiling water which cuts up their bowels?
47:16
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ
*Na wapo miongoni mwao wanao kusikiliza, mpaka wakiondoka kwako huwauliza walio pewa ilimu: Amesema nini sasa hivi? Hao ndio ambao Mwenyezi Mungu amepiga muhuri juu ya nyoyo zao, na wakafuata pumbao lao.
*There are some among them who prick up their ears at you. But when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, ‘What did he say just now?’ They are the ones on whose hearts God has set a seal and they follow their base desires.
47:17
وَالَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا زَادَهُمْ هُدًى وَآتَاهُمْ تَقْوَاهُمْ
*Na wale walio ongoka anawazidishia uongofu na anawapa uchamngu wao.
*As for those who are rightly guided, He enhances their guidance, and invests them with their Godwariness.
47:18
فَهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا ۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ
*Kwani wanangojea jengine isipo kuwa iwafikie Saa (ya Kiyama) kwa ghafla? Na hakika alama zake zimekwisha kuja. Na itapo wajia kutawafaa wapi kukumbuka hapo?
*Do they await anything except that the Hour should overtake them suddenly? Its portents have already come. Of what avail to them will their admonition be when it overtakes them?
47:19
فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ وَمَثْوَاكُمْ
*Basi jua ya kwamba hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu, na omba maghufira kwa dhambi zako na za Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anajua mahali penu pa kwenda na kurudi, na mahali penu pa kukaa.
*Know that there is no god except God, and plead to God for forgiveness of your sin and for the faithful, men and women. God knows your itinerary and your final abode.
47:20
وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ ۖ فَإِذَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا الْقِتَالُ ۙ رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ الْمَغْشِيِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ ۖ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ
*Na Waumini wanasema: Kwa nini haiteremshwi Sura? Na inapo teremshwa Sura madhubuti na ikatajwa ndani yake khabari ya vita, utawaona wenye maradhi katika nyoyo zao wanakutazama mtazamo wa anaye zimia kwa mauti. Basi ni bora kwao
*The faithful say, ‘If only a sūrah were sent down!’ But when a conclusive sūrah is sent down and warfare is mentioned in it, you see those in whose hearts is sickness looking upon you with the look of someone fainting at death. So woe to them!
47:21
طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَعْرُوفٌ ۚ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ الْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ
*Ut´iifu na kauli njema. Na jambo likisha azimiwa, basi wakiwa ni wakweli kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, bila ya shaka itakuwa ni kheri kwao.
*Obedience and upright speech . . . . So when the matter has been resolved upon, if they remain true to God, that will surely be better for them.
47:22
فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَنْ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ
*Basi yanayo tarajiwa kwenu mkitawala ndio mfisidi katika nchi na mwatupe jamaa zenu?
*May it not be that if you were to wield authority you would cause corruption in the land and ill-treat your blood relations?
47:23
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰ أَبْصَارَهُمْ
*Hao ndio Mwenyezi Mungu alio walaani, na akawatia uziwi, na akawapofoa macho yao.
*They are the ones whom God has cursed, so He made them deaf and blinded their sight.
47:24
أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا
*Je! Hawaizingatii hii Qur´ani? Au kwenye nyoyo (zao) zipo kufuli?
*Do they not contemplate the Qur’ān, or are there locks on their hearts?
47:25
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى ۙ الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ
*Kwa hakika wanao rudi nyuma baada ya kwisha wabainikia uwongofu, Shetani huyo amewashawishi na amewaghuri.
*Indeed, those who turned their backs after the guidance had become clear to them, it was Satan who had seduced them and he had given them [far-flung] hopes.
47:26
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu waliwaambia walio chukia aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu: Tutakut´iini katika baadhi ya mambo. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anajua siri zao.
*That is because they said to those who loathed what God had sent down: ‘We will obey you in some matters,’ and God knows their secret dealings.
47:27
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ
*Basi itakuwaje Malaika watakapo wafisha wakawa wanawapiga nyuso zao na migongo yao!
*But how will it be when the angels take them away, striking their faces and their backs?!
47:28
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا رِضْوَانَهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu wao waliyafuata yaliyo mchukiza Mwenyezi Mungu na wakachukia yanayo mridhisha, basi akaviangusha vitendo vyao.
*That, because they pursued what displeased God and loathed His pleasure. So He has made their works fail.
47:29
أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ أَنْ لَنْ يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ أَضْغَانَهُمْ
*Je! Wenye maradhi nyoyoni mwao wanadhani kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu hatazidhihirisha chuki zao?
*Do those in whose hearts is sickness suppose that God will not expose their spite?
47:30
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَأَرَيْنَاكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ ۚ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِي لَحْنِ الْقَوْلِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَعْمَالَكُمْ
*Na tungeli penda tungeli kuonyesha hao na ungeli watambua kwa alama zao; lakini bila ya shaka utawajua kwa namna ya msemo wao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anavijua vitendo vyenu.
*If We wish, We will show them to you so that you recognize them by their mark. Yet you will recognize them by their tone of speech, and God knows your deeds.
47:31
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَعْلَمَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّابِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَ أَخْبَارَكُمْ
*Na bila ya shaka tutakujaribuni mpaka tuwadhihirishe wapiganao Jihadi katika nyinyi na wanao subiri. Nasi tutazifanyia mtihani khabari zenu.
*We will surely test you until We ascertain those of you who wage jihād and those who are steadfast, and We shall appraise your record.
47:32
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَشَاقُّوا الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
*Kwa hakika walio kufuru na wakazuilia njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu na wakapinzana na Mtume baada ya kwisha wabainikia uwongofu, hao hawatamdhuru Mwenyezi Mungu kwa lolote. Naye ataviangusha vitendo vyao.
*Indeed, those who are faithless and bar from the way of God and defy the Apostle after guidance has become clear to them, they will not hurt God in the least and He shall make their works fail.
47:33
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mt´iini Mwenyezi Mungu, na mt´iini Mtume, wala msiviharibu vitendo vyenu.
*O you who have faith! Obey God and obey the Apostle, and do not render your works void.
47:34
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ
*Hakika walio kufuru na wakazuilia njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, kisha wakafa na hali ni makafiri, Mwenyezi Mungu hatawasamehe makosa yao.
*Indeed, those who are faithless and bar from the way of God and then die faithless, God will never forgive them.
47:35
فَلَا تَهِنُوا وَتَدْعُوا إِلَى السَّلْمِ وَأَنْتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ وَاللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَنْ يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ
*Basi msiregee na kutaka suluhu, maana nyinyi ndio mtakao shinda. Na Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja nanyi, wala hatakunyimeni malipo ya vitendo vyenu.
*So do not slacken and do not call for peace when you have the upper hand and God is with you, and He will not stint the reward of your works.
47:36
إِنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ ۚ وَإِنْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا يُؤْتِكُمْ أُجُورَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْأَلْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ
*Hakika uhai wa duniani ni mchezo na pumbao. Na mkiamini na mkamchamngu Mwenyezi Mungu atakupeni ujira wenu, wala hakutakeni mali yenu.
*The life of the world is just play and diversion, but if you are faithful and Godwary, He will give you your rewards, and will not ask your wealth in return from you.
47:37
إِنْ يَسْأَلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَانَكُمْ
*Na akikutakeni hayo na kukushikilieni mtafanya ubakhili, na atatoa undani wa chuki zenu.
*Should He ask it from you, and press you, you will be stingy, and He will expose your spite.
47:38
هَا أَنْتُمْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يَبْخَلُ ۖ وَمَنْ يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ ۚ وَإِنْ تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ
*Angalieni! Nyinyi mnaitwa mtumie katika njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na wapo katika nyinyi wanao fanya ubakhili. Na anaye fanya ubakhili basi anajifanyia ubakhili mwenyewe. Na Mwenyezi Mungu si mhitaji, na nyinyi ndio wahitaji. Na mkigeuka atawaleta watu wengine badala yenu, nao hawatakuwa kama nyinyi.
*Ah! There you are, being invited to spend in the way of God; yet among you there are those who are stingy; and whoever is stingy is stingy only to himself. God is the All-sufficient, and you are all-needy, and if you turn away He will replace you with another people, and they will not be like you.
