بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu. |

42:1

*Ha, Meem,
|

42:2
عسق
*A´yn Sin Qaf
*‘Ayn, Seen, Qaf.
|
|
42:3
كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِي إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
*Hivi ndivyo Mwenyezi Mungu Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye hikima anavyo kuletea Wahyi wewe na walio kabla yako.
*Allah, the All-mighty and the All-wise, thus reveals to you and to those who were before you:

|
42:4
لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
*Ni vyake viliomo mbinguni, na viliomo katika ardhi. Na Yeye ndiye Mtukufu, Mkuu.
*whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth belongs to Him, and He is the All-exalted, the All-supreme.

|
42:5
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ ۚ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Zinakaribia mbingu kupasuka juu huko, na Malaika wakimtakasa Mola wao Mlezi na kumhimidi, na wakiwaombea maghfira waliomo kwenye ardhi. Ama hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe, Mwenye kurehemu.
*The heavens are about to be rent apart from above them, while the angels celebrate the praise of their Lord and plead for forgiveness for those [faithful] who are on the earth. Indeed, Allah is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful!

|
42:6
وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
*Na wale walio wafanya walinzi wengine badala yake Yeye, Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwangalizi juu yao. Wala wewe si wakili juu yao.
*As for those who have taken awliya besides Him, Allah is watchful over them, and you are not their keeper.

|
42:7
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ الْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ
*Na namna hivi tumekufunulia Qur´ani kwa Kiarabu ili uwaonye watu wa Mama wa Miji na walio pembezoni mwake. Na uhadharishe na Siku ya Mkutano, haina shaka hiyo. Kundi moja litakuwa Peponi, na kundi jengine Motoni.
*Thus have We revealed to you an Arabic Quran that you may warn [the people of] the Mother of the Towns and those around it, and warn [them] of the Day of Gathering, in which there is no doubt, [whereupon] a part [of mankind] will be in paradise and a part will be in the Blaze.

|
42:8
وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِنْ يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمُونَ مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu angeli penda ange wafanya wote umma mmoja, lakini anamwingiza katika rehema yake amtakaye. Na wenye kudhulumu hawana mlinzi wala msaidizi.
*Had Allah wished, He would have surely made them one community; but He admits whomever He wishes into His mercy, and the wrongdoers do not have any guardian or helper.

|
42:9
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ فَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
*Au wamechukua walinzi wengine badala yake! Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mlinzi khasa. Na Yeye ndiye anaye huisha wafu. Na Yeye ndiye Mweza wa kila kitu.
*Have they taken awliya besides Him? [Say,] ‘It is Allah, who is the [true] Wali, and He revives the dead, and He has power over all things.

|
42:10
وَمَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
*Na mkikhitalifiana katika jambo lolote, basi hukumu yake iko kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Huyo Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mola wangu Mlezi, ninaye mtegemea na kwake Yeye narejea.
*Whatever thing you may differ about, its judgement is with Allah. That is Allah, my Lord. In Him, I have put my trust, and to Him do I turn penitently.

|
42:11
فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
*Yeye ndiye Muumba mbingu na ardhi, amekujaalieni mke na mume katika nafsi zenu, na katika nyama hoa dume na jike, anakuzidishieni namna hii. Hapana kitu kama mfano wake. Naye ni Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kuona.
*The originator of the heavens and the earth, He made for you mates from your own selves, and mates of the cattle, by which means He multiplies you. Nothing is like Him, and He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.

42:12
لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
*Yeye ndiye Mwenye funguo za mbingu na ardhi. Humkunjulia riziki amtakaye, na humpimia amtakaye. Hakika Yeye ni Mjuzi wa kila kitu.
*To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: He expands the provision for whomever He wishes, and tightens it [for whomever He wishes]. Indeed He has knowledge of all things.’

42:13
شَرَعَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِ نُوحًا وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ ۖ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا الدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا فِيهِ ۚ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۚ اللَّهُ يَجْتَبِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُنِيبُ
*Amekuamrisheni Dini ile ile aliyo muusia Nuhu na tuliyo kufunulia wewe, na tuliyo wausia Ibrahim na Musa na Isa, kwamba shikeni Dini wala msifarikiane kwayo. Ni magumu kwa washirikina hayo unayo waitia. Mwenyezi Mungu humteua kwake amtakaye, na humwongoa kwake aelekeaye.
*He has prescribed for you the religion which He had enjoined upon Noah and which We have [also] revealed to you, and which We had enjoined upon Abraham, Moses and Jesus, declaring, ‘Maintain the religion, and do not be divided in it.’ Hard on the polytheists is that to which you summon them. Allah chooses for it whomever He wishes, and He guides to it whomever returns penitently [to Him].

42:14
وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
*Na hawakufarikiana ila baada ya kuwajia ilimu kwa sababu ya husuda iliyo kuwa baina yao. Na lau kuwa haikwisha tangulia kauli kutoka kwa Mola wako Mlezi ya kuakhirisha mpaka muda maalumu, basi bila ya shaka palingeli hukumiwa baina yao. Na hakika walio rithishwa Kitabu baada yao wanakitilia shaka inayo wahangaisha.
*They did not divide [into sects] except after the knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and were it not for a prior decree of your Lord [granting them reprieve] until a specified time, decision would have been made between them. Indeed those who were made heirs to the Book after them are in grave doubt concerning it.

|
42:15
فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ ۖ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَقُلْ آمَنْتُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ كِتَابٍ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ ۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ
*Basi kwa haya waite! Nawe simama sawa sawa kama ulivyo amrishwa, wala usiyafuate matamanio yao. Na sema: Naamini aliyo teremsha Mwenyezi Mungu katika Vitabu. Na nimeamrishwa nifanye uadilifu baina yenu. Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mola wetu Mlezi, na Mola wenu Mlezi. Sisi tuna jukumu kwa vitendo vyetu, na nyinyi mna jukumu kwa vitendo vyenu. Hapana kuhojiana baina yetu na nyinyi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu atatukusanya pamoja, na marejeo ni kwake.
*So summon to this [unity of religion], and be steadfast, just as you have been commanded, and do not follow their desires, and say, ‘I believe in whatever Book Allah has sent down. I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. Our deeds belong to us and your deeds belong to you. There is no quarrel between us and you. Allah will bring us together and toward Him is the destination.’

|
42:16
وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ
*Na wanao hojiana juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu baada ya kukubaliwa, hoja za hawa ni baat´ili mbele ya Mola wao Mlezi, na juu yao ipo ghadhabu, na itakuwa kwao adhabu kali.
*Those who argue concerning Allah, after His call has been answered, their argument stands refuted with their Lord, and upon them shall be [His] wrath, and there is a severe punishment for them.

42:17
اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمِيزَانَ ۗ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌ
*Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye teremsha Kitabu kwa Haki, na Mizani. Na nini kitakacho kujuulisha ya kwamba pengine Saa ya Kiyama ipo karibu?
*It is Allah who has sent down the Book with the truth and [He has sent down] the Balance. What do you know—maybe the Hour is near!

42:18
يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
*Wasio amini huihimiza hiyo Saa ifike upesi; lakini wanao amini wanaiogopa, na wanajua kwamba hakika hiyo ni kweli. Ama kwa hakika hao wanao bishana katika khabari za hiyo Saa wamo katika upotofu wa mbali kabisa.
*Those who do not believe in it ask [you] to hasten it, but those who have faith are apprehensive of it, and know that it is true. Indeed those who are in doubt about the Hour are in extreme error!

|
42:19
اللَّهُ لَطِيفٌ بِعِبَادِهِ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ
*Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mpole kwa waja wake. Humruzuku ampendaye. Naye ni Mwenye nguvu, Mtukufu.
*Allah is all-attentive to His servants. He provides for whomever He wishes, and He is the All-strong, the All-mighty.

|
42:20
مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ نَصِيبٍ
*Mwenye kutaka mavuno ya Akhera tutamzidishia katika mavuno yake, na mwenye kutaka mavuno ya duniani tutampa katika hayo, lakini katika Akhera hana fungu.
*Whoever desires the tillage of the Hereafter, We will enhance for him his tillage, and whoever desires the tillage of the world, We will give it to him, but he will have no share in the Hereafter.

|
42:21
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنْ بِهِ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Au hao wana miungu ya kishirikina walio watungia dini asiyo itolea idhini Mwenyezi Mungu? Na lau lisinge kuwako neno la kupambanua basi wangeli katiwa hukumu baina yao. Na hakika wenye kudhulumu watapata adhabu chungu.
*Do they have deities [besides Allah] who have ordained for them a religion not permitted by Allah? Were it not for a [prior] conclusive word, judgement would have been made between them, and indeed a painful punishment awaits the wrongdoers.

|
42:22
تَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي رَوْضَاتِ الْجَنَّاتِ ۖ لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ
*Utawaona hao madhaalimu wanavyo kuwa na khofu kwa sababu ya waliyo yachuma, nayo yatawafika tu. Na walio amini na wakatenda mema watakuwamo katika mabustani ya Peponi. Humo watapata wayatakayo kwa Mola wao Mlezi. Hiyo ndiyo fadhila kubwa.
*When it is about to befall them, You will see the wrongdoers fearful because of what they have earned; but those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be in the gardens of paradise: they will have whatever they wish near their Lord. That is the mighty grace.

|
42:23
ذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَشِّرُ اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۗ قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ وَمَنْ يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَزِدْ لَهُ فِيهَا حُسْنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
*Hayo ndiyo aliyo wabashiria Mwenyezi Mungu waja wake walio amini na wakatenda mema. Sema: Sikuombeni malipo yoyote kwenu ila mapenzi katika kujikurubisha. Na anaye fanya wema tutamzidishia wema. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Msamehevu Mwenye shukrani.
*Such is the good news that Allah gives to His servants who have faith and do righteous deeds! Say, ‘I do not ask you any reward for it except the love of [my] relatives.’ Whoever performs a good deed, We shall enhance its goodness for him. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-appreciative.

|
42:24
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۖ فَإِنْ يَشَإِ اللَّهُ يَخْتِمْ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ ۗ وَيَمْحُ اللَّهُ الْبَاطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
*Ati wanasema: Amemzulia Mwenyezi Mungu uwongo? Mwenyezi Mungu akipenda atapiga muhuri juu ya moyo wako. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anaufuta upotofu na anaithibitisha Haki kwa maneno yake. Hakika Yeye anayajua yaliomo vifuani.
*Do they say, ‘He has fabricated a lie against Allah’? If so, should Allah wish He would set a seal on your heart, and Allah will efface the falsehood and confirm the truth with His words. Indeed He knows well what is in the breasts.

|
42:25
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
*Naye ndiye anaye pokea toba kwa waja wake, na anasamehe makosa, na anayajua mnayo yatenda.
*It is He who accepts the repentance of His servants, and excuses their misdeeds and knows what you do.

|
42:26
وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ وَالْكَافِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ
*Na anawaitikia wanao amini na wakatenda mema, na anawazidishia fadhila zake. Na makafiri watakuwa na adhabu chungu.
*He answers [the supplications of] those who have faith and do righteous deeds and enhances them out of His grace. But as for the faithless, there is a severe punishment for them.

|
42:27
وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ
*Na lau kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu angeli wakunjulia riziki waja wake, basi bila ya shaka wangeli panda kiburi katika dunia. Lakini anaiteremsha kwa kipimo akitakacho. Hakika Yeye anawajua vyema waja wake na anawaona.
*Were Allah to expand the provision for [all] His servants, they would surely create havoc on the earth. But He sends down in a [precise] measure whatever He wishes. Indeed, He is all-aware, all-seeing about His servants.

|
42:28
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوا وَيَنْشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْوَلِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
*Naye ndiye anaye iteremsha mvua baada ya wao kwisha kata tamaa, na hueneza rehema yake. Naye ndiye Mlinzi Mwenye kuhimidiwa.
*It is He who sends down the rain after they have been despondent, and unfolds His mercy, and He is the Guardian, the All-laudable.

|
42:29
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيهِمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ جَمْعِهِمْ إِذَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
*Na katika Ishara zake ni kuumba mbingu na ardhi, na wanyama alio waeneza. Naye ni Mwenye uweza wa kuwakusanya apendapo.
*Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and whatever creatures He has scattered in them, and He is able to gather them whenever He wishes.

|
42:30
وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ
*Na misiba inayo kusibuni ni kwa sababu ya vitendo vya mikono yenu. Naye anasamehe mengi.
*Whatever affliction that may visit you is because of what your hands have earned, and He excuses many [an offense of yours].

42:31
وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
*Na nyinyi hamwezi kushinda katika ardhi. Na wala nyinyi hamna mlinzi wala msaidizi badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu.
*You cannot frustrate [Allah] on the earth, and you do not have besides Allah any guardian or helper.

|
42:32
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ الْجَوَارِ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
*Na katika Ishara zake ni vyombo vinavyo kwenda na kurejea baharini kama vilima.
*Among His signs are the ships [that run] on the sea [appearing] like landmarks.

42:33
إِنْ يَشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
*Akitaka, huutuliza upepo navyo hivyo vyombo husimama tutwe juu ya bahari. Hakika katika hayo zipo Ishara kwa kila mwenye kusubiri akashukuru.
*If He wishes He stills the wind, whereat they remain standstill on its surface. There are indeed signs in that for every patient and grateful [servant].

42:34
أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا وَيَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ
*Au huviangamiza hivyo vyombo kwa sababu ya waliyo yatenda hao watu. Naye husamehe mengi.
*Or He wrecks them because of what they have earned, and He excuses many [an offense].

|
42:35
وَيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ
*Na ili wajue wanao jadiliana katika Ishara zetu kwamba hawana pahala pa kukimbilia.
*Let those who dispute Our signs know that there is no escape for them.

|
42:36
فَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
*Basi vyote mlivyo pewa ni starehe ya maisha ya dunia tu, lakini kilichoko kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni bora, na cha kudumu kwa ajili ya walio amini, na wakawa wanamtegemea Mola wao Mlezi,
*Whatever you have been given are the wares of the life of this world, but what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have faith and who put their trust in their Lord

|
42:37
وَالَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُوا هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَ
*Na wanayo yaepuka madhambi makubwa na mambo machafu, na wanapo kasirika wao husamehe,
*—those who avoid major sins and indecencies, and forgive when angered;

|
42:38
وَالَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
*Na wanao mwitikia Mola wao Mlezi, na wakashika Sala, na mambo yao yakawa ni kwa kushauriana baina yao, na kutokana na tulicho waruzuku wakawa wanatoa,
*those who answer their Lord, maintain the prayer, and [conduct] their affairs by counsel among themselves, and they spend out of what We have provided them;

|
42:39
وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَغْيُ هُمْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ
*Na ambao wanapo fanyiwa jeuri hujitetea.
*those who, when afflicted by oppression, defend themselves.
|
|
42:40
وَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا ۖ فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Na malipo ya uovu ni uovu mfano wa huo. Lakini mwenye kusamehe, na akasuluhisha, basi huyo malipo yake yapo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Yeye hawapendi wenye kudhulumu.
*The requital of evil is an evil like it, so whoever excuses and conciliates, his reward lies with Allah. Indeed, He does not like the wrongdoers.

42:41
وَلَمَنِ انْتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
*Na wanao jitetea baada ya kudhulumiwa, hao hapana njia ya kuwalaumu.
*As for those who retaliate after being wronged, there is no ground for action against them.

42:42
إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَظْلِمُونَ النَّاسَ وَيَبْغُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Bali lawama ipo kwa wale wanao wadhulumu watu, na wanafanya jeuri katika nchi bila ya haki. Hao watapata adhabu iliyo chungu.
*The ground for action is only against those who oppress the people and commit tyranny in the land in violation of justice. For such there will be a painful punishment.

42:43
وَلَمَنْ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ
*Na anaye subiri, na akasamehe, hakika hayo ni katika mambo ya kuazimiwa.
*As for someone who endures patiently and forgives—that is indeed the steadiest of courses.

42:44
وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۗ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَىٰ مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
*Na ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemwacha kupotea, hana mlinzi baada yake. Na utawaona wenye kudhulumu watakapo iona adhabu wanasema: Je! Ipo njia ya kurudi?
*Those whom Allah leads astray have no guardian apart from Him. You will see the wrongdoers, when they sight the punishment, saying, ‘Is there any way for a retreat?’

42:45
وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ ۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ
*Na utawaona wanapelekwa kwenye Moto, nao wamenyenyekea kwa unyonge, wanatazama kwa mtazamo wa kificho. Na walio amini watasema: Hakika wapatao khasara ni hao walio khasiri nafsi zao na ahali zao Siku ya Kiyama. Ama hakika wenye kudhulumu watakuwa katika adhabu ya daima.
*You will see them being exposed to it, humbled by abasement, furtively looking askance. The faithful will say, ‘Indeed the losers are those who have ruined themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, the wrongdoers will abide in lasting punishment.

42:46
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
*Wala hawatakuwa na walinzi wa kuwanusuru mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemwacha kupotea, hana njia yoyote.
*They have no awliya to help them besides Allah. There is no way out for those whom Allah leads astray.’

42:47
اسْتَجِيبُوا لِرَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ مَلْجَإٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَكِيرٍ
*Muitikieni Mola wenu Mlezi kabla haijafika siku isiyo epukika itokayo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Siku hiyo hamtakuwa pa kukimbilia wala hamtakuwa na cha kukingia.
*Respond to your Lord before there comes a day for which there will be no revoking from Allah. On that day you will have no refuge, nor will you have [any chance for] denial [of your sins].

42:48
فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ إِنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَإِنَّا إِذَا أَذَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ كَفُورٌ
*Na wakipuuza, basi Sisi hatukukupeleka ili uwe mwangalizi wao. Si juu yako ila kufikisha Ujumbe tu. Na hakika Sisi tukimwonjesha mtu rehema kutoka kwetu, huifurahia. Na akisibiwa na ovu kwa sababu ya iliyo yatanguliza mikono yao, basi hakika mtu huyu anakufuru.
*But if they disregard [your warnings], [keep in mind that] We have not sent you as their keeper. Your duty is only to communicate. Indeed when We let man taste Our mercy, he boasts about it; but should an ill visit him because of what his hands have sent ahead, then man is very ungrateful.

42:49
لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ
*Ufalme wa mbingu na ardhi ni wa Mwenyezi Mungu; anaumba apendavyo, anamtunukia amtakaye watoto wa kike, na anamtunukia amtakaye watoto wa kiume,
*To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatever He wishes; He gives females to whomever He wishes, and males to whomever He wishes,

42:50
أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانًا وَإِنَاثًا ۖ وَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ عَقِيمًا ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ
*Au huwachanganya wanaume na wanawake, na akamfanya amtakaye tasa. Hakika Yeye ni Mjuzi Mwenye uweza.
*or He combines them males and females, and makes sterile whomever He wishes. Indeed, He is all-knowing, all-powerful.

42:51
وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ
*Na haikuwa kwa mwanaadamu kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu amsemeze ila kwa Wahyi (Ufunuo), au kwa nyuma ya pazia, au kumtuma Mjumbe. Naye humfunulia ayatakayo kwa idhini yake. Hakika Yeye ni Mtukufu, Mwenye hikima.
*It is not [possible] for any human that Allah should speak to him except through revelation or from behind a veil, or send a messenger who reveals by His permission whatever He wishes. Indeed He is all-exalted, all-wise.

42:52
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا ۚ مَا كُنْتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكِتَابُ وَلَا الْإِيمَانُ وَلَٰكِنْ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُورًا نَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ نَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ۚ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِي إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
*Na namna hivi tumekufunulia Qur´ani kwa amri yetu. Ulikuwa hujui Kitabu ni nini, wala Imani. Lakini tumekifanya kuwa ni Nuru ambayo kwayo tunammwongoa tumtakaye katika waja wetu. Na hakika wewe unaongoa kwenye Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*Thus have We imbued you with a Spirit of Our command. You did not know what the Book is, nor what is faith; but We made it a light that We may guide by its means whomever We wish of Our servants. Indeed, you guide to a straight path,

42:53
صِرَاطِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَصِيرُ الْأُمُورُ
*Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye ni vyake Yeye tu viliomo mbinguni na katika ardhi. Jueni kuwa mambo yote yanarudi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*the path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Indeed all matters return to Allah!
