Sura 26 - Ash-Shu'araa

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
26:1
طسم
*T´aa Siin Miim. (T´.S.M.)
*Ta, Seen, Meem.
26:2
تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ
*Hizi ni Aya za Kitabu kinacho bainisha.
*These are the signs of the Manifest Book.
26:3
لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Huenda labda ukajikera nafsi yako kwa kuwa hawawi Waumini.
*You are liable to imperil your life [out of distress] that they will not have faith.
26:4
إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ
*Tunge penda tungeli wateremshia kutoka mbinguni Ishara zikanyenyekea shingo zao.
*If We wish We will send down to them a sign from the sky before which their heads will remain bowed in humility.
26:5
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
*Wala hauwafikii ukumbusho mpya kutoka kwa Arrahman ila wao hujitenga nao.
*There does not come to them any new reminder from the All-beneficent but that they disregard it.
26:6
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
*Kwa yakini wamekanusha; kwa hivyo zitakuja wafikia khabari za yale waliyo kuwa wakiyafanyia mzaha.
*They have already denied [the truth], but soon there will come to them the news of what they have been deriding.
26:7
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
*Je! Hawakuiona ardhi, mimea mingapi tumeiotesha humo, ya kila namna nzuri?
*Have they not regarded the earth, how many of every splendid kind [of vegetation] We have caused to grow in it?
26:8
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika katika haya zipo Ishara. Lakini wengi wao hawakuwa wenye kuamini.
*There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:9
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:10
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Na Mola wako Mlezi, alipo mwita Musa, akamwambia: Fika kwa watu madhaalimu,
*When your Lord called out to Moses: [saying,] ‘Go to those wrongdoing people,
26:11
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
*Watu wa Firauni. Hawaogopi?
*the people of Pharaoh. Will they not be wary [of Allah]?’
26:12
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ
*Akasema: Hakika mimi nachelea wasinikanushe.
*He said, ‘My Lord! I fear they will impugn me,
26:13
وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَارُونَ
*Na kifua changu kina dhiki, na ulimi wangu haukunjuki vyema. Basi mtumie ujumbe Harun.
*and I will become upset and my tongue will fail me. So send for Aaron [to join me].
26:14
وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ
*Na wao wana kisasi juu yangu, kwa hivyo naogopa wasije kuniuwa.
*Besides, they have a charge against me, and I fear they will kill me.’
26:15
قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ
*Akasema: Siyo hivyo kabisa! Nendeni na miujiza yetu. Hakika Sisi tu pamoja nanyi, tunasikiliza.
*He said, ‘Certainly not! Let both of you go with Our signs: We will indeed be with you, hearing [everything].
26:16
فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Basi mfikieni Firauni na mwambieni: Hakika sisi ni Mitume wa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*So approach Pharaoh and say, ‘‘We are indeed envoys of the Lord of the worlds
26:17
أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
*Waachilie Wana wa Israili wende nasi.
*that you let the Children of Israel leave with us.’’ ’
26:18
قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
*(Firauni) akasema: Sisi hatukukulea wewe utotoni, na ukakaa kwetu katika umri wako miaka mingi?
*He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Did we not rear you as a child among us, and did you not stay with us for years of your life?
26:19
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Na ukatenda kitendo chako ulicho tenda, nawe ukawa miongoni mwa wasio na shukrani?
*Then you committed that deed of yours, and you are an ingrate.’
26:20
قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ
*(Musa) akasema: Nilitenda hayo hapo nilipo kuwa miongoni mwa wale walio potea.
*He said, ‘I did that when I was astray.
26:21
فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Basi nikakukimbieni nilipo kuogopeni, tena Mola wangu Mlezi akanitunukia hukumu, na akanijaalia niwe miongoni mwa Mitume.
*So I fled from you, as I was afraid of you. Then my Lord gave me sound judgement and made me one of the apostles.
26:22
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
*Na hiyo ndiyo neema ya kunisumbulia, na wewe umewatia utumwani Wana wa Israili?
*That you have enslaved the Children of Israel—is that the favour with which you reproach me?’
26:23
قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Firauni akasema: Na nani huyo Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote?
*He said, ‘And what is ‘‘the Lord of all the worlds?’’ ’
26:24
قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ
*Akasema: Ndiye Mola Mlezi wa mbingu na ardhi, na viliomo baina yao, ikiwa nyinyi ni wenye yakini.
*He said, ‘The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them,—should you have conviction.’
26:25
قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
*(Firauni) akawaambia walio mzunguka: Hamsikilizi?
*He said to those who were around him, ‘Don’t you hear?!’
26:26
قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*(Musa) akasema: Ndiye Mola wenu Mlezi, na Mola Mlezi wa baba zenu wa kwanza.
*He said, ‘Your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers!’
26:27
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
*(Firauni) akasema: Hakika huyu Mtume wenu aliye tumwa kwenu ni mwendawazimu.
*He said, ‘Indeed your messenger, who has been sent to you, is surely crazy!’
26:28
قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
*(Musa) akasema: Ndiye Mola Mlezi wa Mashariki na Magharibi na viliomo baina yao, ikiwa nyinyi mnatia akilini.
*He said, ‘The Lord of the east and the west and whatever is between them—should you exercise your reason.’
26:29
قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ
*(Firauni) akasema: Ukimfuata mungu mwengine asiye kuwa mimi, basi bila ya shaka nitakufunga gerezani.
*He said, ‘If you take up any god other than me, I will surely make you a prisoner!’
26:30
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ
*Akasema: Je! Ijapo kuwa nitakuletea kitu cha kubainisha wazi?
*He said, ‘What if I bring you something [as an] unmistakable [proof]?’
26:31
قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
*Akasema: Kilete basi, kama wewe ni katika wasemao kweli.
*He said, ‘Then bring it, should you be truthful.’
26:32
فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ
*Basi akaitupa fimbo yake, mara ikawa nyoka wa kuonekana dhaahiri.
*Thereat he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a manifest python.
26:33
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
*Na akautoa mkono wake, na mara ukawa mweupe kwa watazamao.
*Then he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white and bright to the onlookers.
26:34
قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
*(Firauni) akawaambia waheshimiwa walio mzunguka: Hakika huyu ni mchawi mtaalamu.
*He said to the elite [who stood] around him, ‘This is indeed an expert magician
26:35
يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
*Anataka kukutoeni katika nchi yenu kwa uchawi wake. Basi mna shauri gani?
*who seeks to expel you from your land with his magic. So what do you advise?’
26:36
قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ
*Wakasema: Mpe muda yeye na nduguye na uwatume mijini wapigao mbiu ya mgambo.
*They said, ‘Put him and his brother off for a while, and send heralds to the cities
26:37
يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
*Wakuletee kila mchawi bingwa mtaalamu.
*to bring you every expert magician.’
26:38
فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
*Basi wakakusanywa wachawi wakati na siku maalumu.
*So the magicians were gathered for the tryst of a known day,
26:39
وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُجْتَمِعُونَ
*Na watu wakaambiwa: Je! Mtakusanyika?
*and the people were told: ‘Will you all gather?!’
26:40
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
*Huenda tutawafuata wachawi wakiwa wao ndio watakao shinda.
*‘Maybe we will follow the magicians, if they are victors!’
26:41
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
*Basi walipo kuja wachawi wakamwambia Firauni: Je! Tutapata ujira tukiwa sisi ndio tulio shinda?
*So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward if we were to be the victors?’
26:42
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
*Naam! Na hakika mtakuwa katika watu wa mbele.
*He said, ‘Of course; and you will be among members of my inner circle.’
26:43
قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ
*Musa akwaambia: Tupeni mnavyo taka kutupa.
*Moses said to them, ‘Throw down whatever you have to throw!’
26:44
فَأَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغَالِبُونَ
*Basi wakatupa kamba zao na fimbo zao, na wakasema: Kwa nguvu za Firauni hakika sisi hapana shaka ni wenye kushinda.
*So they threw down their sticks and ropes, and said, ‘By the might of Pharaoh, we shall surely be victorious!’
26:45
فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
*Musa tena akatupa fimbo yake, nayo mara ikavimeza walivyo vizua.
*Thereat Moses threw down his staff, and behold, it was swallowing what they had faked.
26:46
فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ
*Hapo wachawi walipinduka wakasujudu.
*Thereat the magicians fell down prostrating.
26:47
قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Wakasema: Tunamuamini Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*They said, ‘We believe in the Lord of all the worlds,
26:48
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
*Mola Mlezi wa Musa na Harun.
*the Lord of Moses and Aaron.’
26:49
قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
*(Firauni) akasema: Je! Mmemuamini kabla sijakuruhusuni? Bila ya shaka yeye basi ndiye mkubwa wenu aliye kufunzeni uchawi. Basi mtakuja jua! Nitakata mikono yenu na miguu yenu kwa kutafautisha. Na nitakubandikeni misalabani nyote.
*He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Do you profess faith in Him before I should permit you? He is indeed your chief who has taught you magic! Soon you will know! I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify you all.’
26:50
قَالُوا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ
*Wakasema: Haidhuru, kwani sisi ni wenye kurejea kwa Mola wetu Mlezi.
*They said, ‘[There is] no harm [in that]! Indeed, we shall return to our Lord.
26:51
إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika sisi tunatumai Mola wetu Mlezi atatusamehe makosa yetu, kwa kuwa ndio wa kwanza wa kuamini.
*Indeed we hope our Lord will forgive us our offences for being the first to believe.’
26:52
وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ
*Na tulimuamrisha Musa kwa wahyi: Nenda na waja wangu wakati wa usiku. Kwa hakika mtafuatwa.
*Then We revealed to Moses, [saying],‘Set out with My servants at night, for you will be pursued.’
26:53
فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ
*Basi Firauni akawatuma mijini wapiga mbiu za mgambo.
*Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities,
26:54
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
*(Wakieneza): Hakika hawa ni kikundi kidogo.
*[proclaiming:] ‘These are indeed a small band.
26:55
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ
*Nao wanatuudhi.
*They have aroused our wrath,
26:56
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ
*Na sisi ni wengi, wenye kuchukua hadhari.
*and we are alert and fully prepared.’
26:57
فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُمْ مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
*Basi tukawatoa katika mabustani na chemchem,
*So We took them out of gardens and springs,
26:58
وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
*Na makhazina, na vyeo vya hishima,
*and [made them leave behind] treasures and stately homes.
26:59
كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
*Kadhaalika; na tukawarithisha hayo Wana wa Israili.
*So it was; and We bequeathed them to the Children of Israel.
26:60
فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِقِينَ
*Basi wakawafuata lilipo chomoza jua.
*Then they pursued them at sunrise.
26:61
فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
*Na yalipo onana majeshi mawili haya, watu wa Musa wakasema: Hakika sisi bila ya shaka tumepatikana!
*When the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, ‘Indeed we have been caught up.’
26:62
قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
*(Musa) akasema: Hasha! Hakika yu pamoja nami Mola wangu Mlezi. Yeye ataniongoa!
*He said, ‘Certainly not! Indeed my Lord is with me. He will guide me.’
26:63
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Tulimletea wahyi Musa tukamwambia: Piga bahari kwa fimbo yako. Basi ikatengana, na kila sehemu ikawa kama mlima mkubwa.
*Thereupon We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff!’ Whereupon it parted, and each part was as if it were a great mountain.
26:64
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ
*Na tukawajongeza hapo wale wengine.
*There, We brought the others near,
26:65
وَأَنْجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
*Tukawaokoa Musa na walio kuwa pamoja naye wote.
*and We delivered Moses and all those who were with him.
26:66
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
*Kisha tukawazamisha hao wengine.
*Then We drowned the rest.
26:67
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika bila ya shaka katika hayo ipo Ishara; lakini wengi wao si katika wenye kuamini.
*There is indeed a sign in that, but most of them do not have faith.
26:68
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na kwa hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:69
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
*Na wasomee khabari za Ibrahim.
*Relate to them the account of Abraham
26:70
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
*Alipo mwambia baba yake na kaumu yake: Mnaabudu nini?
*when he said to his father and his people, ‘What is it that you are worshiping?!’
26:71
قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ
*Wakasema: Tunaabudu masanamu, daima tunayanyenyekea.
*They said, ‘We worship idols, and are constant in our devotion to them.’
26:72
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
*Akasema: Je! Yanakusikieni mnapo yaita?
*He said, ‘Do they hear you when you call them?
26:73
أَوْ يَنْفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
*Au yanakufaeni, au yanakudhuruni?
*Or do they bring you any benefit, or cause you any harm?’
26:74
قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
*Wakasema: Bali tumewakuta baba zetu wakifanya hivyo hivyo.
*They said, ‘Indeed, we found our fathers doing likewise.’
26:75
قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
*Je! Mmewaona hawa mnao waabudu-
*He said, ‘Have you regarded what you have been worshipping,
26:76
أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ
*Nyinyi na baba zenu wa zamani?
*you and your ancestors?
26:77
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Kwani hakika hao ni adui zangu, isipo kuwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*They are indeed enemies to me, but the Lord of all the worlds,
26:78
الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
*Ambaye ndiye aliye niumba, na Yeye ndiye ananiongoa,
*who created me, it is He who guides me,
26:79
وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ
*Na ambaye ndiye ananilisha na kuninywesha.
*and provides me with food and drink,
26:80
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
*Na ninapo ugua ni Yeye ndiye anaye niponesha.
*and when I get sick, it is He who cures me;
26:81
وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
*Na ambaye atanifisha, na kisha atanihuisha.
*who will make me die, then He will bring me to life,
26:82
وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
*Na ambaye ndiye ninaye mtumai kunisamehe makosa yangu Siku ya Malipo.
*and who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Retribution.’
26:83
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
*Mola wangu Mlezi! Nitunukie hukumu na uniunganishe na watendao mema.
*‘My Lord! Grant me [unerring] judgement, and unite me with the Righteous.
26:84
وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
*Na unijaalie nitajwe kwa wema na watu watakao kuja baadaye.
*Confer on me a worthy repute among the posterity,
26:85
وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ
*Na unijaalie katika warithi wa Bustani za neema.
*and make me one of the heirs to the paradise of bliss.
26:86
وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ
*Na umsamehe baba yangu, kwani hakika alikuwa miongoni mwa wapotovu.
*Forgive my father, for he is one of those who are astray.
26:87
وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
*Wala usinihizi Siku watapo fufuliwa.
*Do not disgrace me on the day that they will be resurrected,
26:88
يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
*Siku ambayo kwamba mali hayato faa kitu wala wana.
*the day when neither wealth nor children will avail,
26:89
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
*Isipo kuwa mwenye kumjia Mwenyezi Mungu na moyo safi.
*except him who comes to Allah with a sound heart,’
26:90
وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
*Na Pepo itasogezwa kwa wachamngu.
*and paradise will be brought near for the Godwary,
26:91
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
*Na Jahannamu itadhihirishwa kwa wapotovu.
*and hell will be brought into view for the perverse,
26:92
وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
*Na wataambiwa: Wako wapi mlio kuwa mkiwaabudu
*and they shall be told: ‘Where is that which you used to worship
26:93
مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ
*Badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu? Je! Wanakusaidieni, au wanajisaidia wenyewe?
*besides Allah? Do they help you, or do they help each other?’
26:94
فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ
*Basi watavurumizwa humo wao na hao wakosefu,
*Then they will be cast into it on their faces—they and the perverse,
26:95
وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
*Na majeshi ya Ibilisi yote.
*and the hosts of Iblis all together.
26:96
قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
*Watasema, na hali ya kuwa wanazozana humo:
*They will say, as they wrangle in it [together],
26:97
تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
*Wallahi! Kwa yakini tulikuwa katika upotovu ulio dhaahiri,
*‘By Allah, we had indeed been in manifest error
26:98
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Tulipo kufanyeni ni sawa na Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*when we equated you with the Lord of all the worlds!
26:99
وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
*Na hawakutupoteza ila wale wakosefu.
*No one led us astray except the guilty.
26:100
فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ
*Basi hatuna waombezi.
*Now we have no intercessors,
26:101
وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
*Wala rafiki wa dhati.
*nor do we have any sympathetic friend.
26:102
فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Laiti tungeli pata kurejea tena tungeli kuwa katika Waumini.
*Had there been another turn for us, we would be among the faithful.’
26:103
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika katika haya ipo Ishara, lakini wengi wao hawakuwa wenye kuamini.
*There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:104
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:105
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Kaumu ya Nuhu waliwakadhibisha Mitume.
*The people of Noah impugned the apostles
26:106
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Nuhu: Je! Hamchimngu?
*when Noah, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?
26:107
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
*Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
*Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.
26:108
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:109
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Na sikutakini juu yake ujira, kwani ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:110
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.’
26:111
قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ
*Wakasema: Je! Tukuamini wewe, hali wanao kufuata ni watu wa chini?
*They said, ‘Shall we believe in you, when it is the riffraff who follow you?’
26:112
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Akasema: Nayajuaje waliyo kuwa wakiyafanya?
*He said, ‘What do I know as to what they used to do?
26:113
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
*Hisabu yao haiko ila kwa Mola wao Mlezi, laiti mngeli tambua!
*Their reckoning is only with my Lord, should you be aware.
26:114
وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Wala mimi si wa kuwafukuza Waumini.
*I will not drive away the faithful.
26:115
إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
*Mimi si cho chote ila ni Mwonyaji wa dhaahiri shaahiri.
*I am just a manifest warner.’
26:116
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ
*Wakasema: Ikiwa huachi, ewe Nuhu, bila ya shaka utapigwa mawe.
*They said, ‘Noah, if you do not desist, you will certainly be stoned [to death].’
26:117
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ
*Akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Hakika watu wangu wamenikanusha.
*He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed my people have impugned me.
26:118
فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Basi hukumu baina yangu na wao kwa hukumu yako, na uniokoe mimi na walio pamoja nami, Waumini.
*So judge conclusively between me and them, and deliver me and the faithful who are with me.’
26:119
فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
*Kwa hivyo tukamwokoa yeye na walio kuwa pamoja naye katika marikebu iliyo sheheni.
*Thereupon We delivered him and those who were with him in the laden ark.
26:120
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ
*Kisha tukawazamisha baadaye walio bakia.
*Then We drowned the rest.
26:121
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika katika haya ipo Ishara, lakini si wengi wao walio kuwa Waumini.
*There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:122
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:123
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Kina A´d waliwakanusha Mitume.
*[The people of] ‘Ad impugned the apostles,
26:124
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Hud: Je! Hamchimngu?
*when Hud, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?
26:125
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
*Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
*Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.
26:126
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:127
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Wala sikutakeni juu yake ujira, kwani ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:128
أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
*Je! Mnajenga juu ya kila mnyanyuko kumbusho la kufanyia upuuzi?
*Do you build futile a sign on every prominence?
26:129
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
*Na mnajenga majengo ya fakhari kama kwamba mtaishi milele!
*You set up structures as if you will be immortal,
26:130
وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
*Na mnapo tumia nguvu mnatumia nguvu kwa ujabari.
*and when you seize [someone for punishment], you seize [him] like tyrants.
26:131
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:132
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
*Na mcheni aliye kupeni haya mnayo yajua.
*Be wary of Him who has provided you with whatever you know,
26:133
أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ
*Amekupeni wanyama wa kufuga na wana.
*and aided you with sons and with cattle,
26:134
وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
*Na mabustani na chemchem.
*gardens and springs.
26:135
إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Hakika mimi ninakukhofieni adhabu ya Siku Kubwa.
*Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’
26:136
قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ
*Wakasema: Ni mamoja kwetu, ukitupa mawaidha au hukuwa miongoni mwa watoao mawaidha.
*They said, ‘It is the same to us whether you exhort us or not.
26:137
إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Haya si chochote ila ni mtindo wa watu wa tokea zamani.
*These are nothing but the traditions of the ancients,
26:138
وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
*Wala sisi hatutaadhibiwa.
*and we will not be punished.’
26:139
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Wakamkanusha; nasi tukawaangamiza. Hakika bila ya shaka katika haya ipo Ishara. Lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
*So they impugned him, whereupon We destroyed them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:140
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:141
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Kina Thamud waliwakanusha Mitume.
*[The people of] Thamud impugned the apostles
26:142
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Alipo waambia ndugu yao Saleh: Je! Hamumchimngu?
*when Salih, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?
26:143
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
*Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
*Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.
26:144
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:145
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Wala sikutakini ujira juu yake. Ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:146
أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ
*Je! Mtaachwa salama usalimina katika haya yaliyopo hapa?
*Will you be left secure in that which is here
26:147
فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
*Katika mabustani, na chemchem?
*—amid gardens and springs,
26:148
وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
*Na konde na mitende yenye makole yaliyo wiva.
*farms and date palms with dainty spathes
26:149
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ
*Na mnachonga milimani majumba kwa ustadi.
*—while you skillfully hew out houses from the mountains?
26:150
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me,
26:151
وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
*Wala msit´ii amri za walio pindukia mipaka,
*and do not obey the dictates of the transgressors,
26:152
الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
*Ambao wanafanya ufisadi katika nchi, wala hawatengenezi.
*who cause corruption in the land and do not bring about reform.’
26:153
قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
*Wakasema: Hakika wewe ni miongoni mwa walio rogwa.
*They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched.
26:154
مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
*Wewe si chochote ila ni mtu kama sisi. Basi lete Ishara ukiwa wewe ni miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
*You are just a human being like us. So bring us a sign, should you be truthful.’
26:155
قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
*Akasema: Huyu ngamia jike; awe na zamu yake ya kunywa, na nyinyi muwe na zamu yenu ya kunywa katika siku maalumu.
*He said, ‘This is a she-camel; she shall drink and you shall drink on known days.
26:156
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Wala msimguse kwa uwovu, isije ikakushikeni adhabu ya Siku Kubwa.
*Do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by the punishment of a terrible day.’
26:157
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ
*Lakini wakamuuwa, na wakawa wenye kujuta.
*But they hamstrung her, whereupon they became regretful.
26:158
فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Basi ikawapata adhabu. Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara. Lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
*So the punishment seized them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:159
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:160
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Watu wa Lut´i waliwakanusha Mitume.
*The people of Lot impugned the apostles
26:161
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Lut´i: Je! Hamumchimngu?
*when Lot, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?
26:162
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
*Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu kwenu.
*Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.
26:163
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:164
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Wala mimi sikutakini ujira juu yake; ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:165
أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Je! Katika viumbe vyote mnawaingilia wanaume?
*What! Of all people do you come to males,
26:166
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
*Na mnaacha alicho kuumbieni Mola wenu Mlezi katika wake zenu? Ama kweli nyinyi ni watu mnao ruka mipaka!
*abandoning your wives your Lord has created for you? Indeed, you are a transgressing lot.’
26:167
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ
*Wakasema: Ewe Lut´i! Usipo acha, hapana shaka utakuwa miongoni mwa wanao tolewa mji!
*They said, ‘Lot, if you do not desist, you will surely be banished.’
26:168
قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالِينَ
*Akasema: Hakika mimi ni katika wanao kichukia hichi kitendo chenu.
*He said, ‘Indeed I detest your conduct.’
26:169
رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Mola wangu Mlezi! Niokoe mimi na ahali zangu na haya wayatendayo.
*‘My Lord! Deliver me and my family from what they do.’
26:170
فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
*Basi tukamwokoa yeye na ahali zake wote,
*So We delivered him and all his family,
26:171
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
*Isipo kuwa kikongwe katika walio kaa nyuma.
*except an old woman who remained behind.
26:172
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
*Kisha tukawaangamiza wale wengine.
*Then We destroyed [all] the rest,
26:173
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
*Na tukawanyeshea mvua, basi ni ovu mno mvua ya waliyo onywa.
*and rained down upon them a rain [of stones]. Evil was the rain of those who were warned!
26:174
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara. Na hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
*There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:175
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi bila ya shaka ndiye Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:176
كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
*Watu wa Machakani waliwakanusha Mitume.
*The inhabitants of Aykah impugned the apostles,
26:177
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Shuaibu alipo waambia: Je! Hamfanyi mkamchamngu?
*when Shu‘ayb said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?
26:178
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
*Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
*Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.
26:179
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit´iini mimi.
*So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:180
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Wala sikutakini ujira juu yake. Ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:181
أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ
*Timizeni kipimo sawa sawa, wala msiwe katika wanao punja.
*Observe the full measure, and do not be of those who give short measure.
26:182
وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ
*Na pimeni kwa haki iliyo nyooka;
*Weigh with an even balance,
26:183
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
*Wala msiwapunje watu vitu vyao, wala msifanye jeuri kwa ufisadi.
*and do not cheat the people of their goods. Do not act wickedly on the earth, causing corruption.
26:184
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Na mcheni aliye kuumbeni nyinyi na vizazi vilivyo tangulia.
*Be wary of Him who created you and the earlier generations.’
26:185
قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
*Wakasema: Hakika wewe ni katika walio rogwa.
*They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched.
26:186
وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
*Na wewe si chochote ila ni mtu tu kama sisi, na kwa yakini tunakuona wewe ni katika waongo.
*You are just a human being like us, and we indeed consider you to be a liar.
26:187
فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
*Hebu tuangushie vipande kutoka mbinguni ikiwa wewe ni miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
*Make a fragment of the sky falls upon us, should you be truthful.’
26:188
قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
*Akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi anajua zaidi mnayo yatenda.
*He said, ‘My Lord knows best what you are doing.’
26:189
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Basi walimkanusha, na ikawashika adhabu ya siku ya kivuli. Hakika hiyo ilikuwa adhabu ya siku kubwa.
*So they impugned him, and then they were overtaken by the punishment of the day of the overshadowing cloud. It was indeed the punishment of a terrible day.
26:190
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara, lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
*There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
26:191
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi bila ya shaka ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.
26:192
وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Na bila ya shaka hii ni Uteremsho wa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*This is indeed [a Book] sent down by the Lord of all the worlds,
26:193
نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ
*Ameuteremsha Roho muaminifu,
*brought down by the Trustworthy Spirit
26:194
عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ
*Juu ya moyo wako, ili uwe katika Waonyaji,
*upon your heart (so that you may be one of the warners),
26:195
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ
*Kwa ulimi wa Kiarabu ulio wazi.
*in a clear Arabic language.
26:196
وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Na hakika bila ya shaka haya yamo katika Vitabu vya kale.
*It is indeed [foretold] in the scriptures of the ancients.
26:197
أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
*Je! Haikuwa kwao ni Ishara kwamba wanayajua haya wanazuoni wa Wana wa Israili?
*Is it not a sign for them that the learned of the Children of Israel recognize it?
26:198
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ
*Na lau kuwa tungeli iteremsha juu ya mmoja wa wasio kuwa Waarabu,
*Had We sent it down upon some non-Arab
26:199
فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Na akawasomea, wasingeli kuwa wenye kuamini.
*and had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it.
26:200
كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
*Namna hivi tunaingiza katika nyoyo za wakosefu.
*This is how We let it pass through the hearts of the guilty:
26:201
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ
*Hawataiamini mpaka waione adhabu chungu.
*they do not believe in it until they sight the painful punishment.
26:202
فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
*Basi itawafikia kwa ghafla, na hali hawana khabari.
*It will overtake them suddenly while they are unaware.
26:203
فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُونَ
*Na watasema: Je, tutapewa muhula?
*Thereupon they will say, ‘Shall we be granted any respite?’
26:204
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
*Basi, je, wanaihimiza adhabu yetu?
*So do they seek to hasten on Our punishment?
26:205
أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ
*Waonaje kama tukiwastarehesha kwa miaka,
*Tell me, should We let them enjoy for some years,
26:206
ثُمَّ جَاءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
*Kisha yakawafikia waliyo kuwa wakiahidiwa,
*then there comes to them what they have been promised,
26:207
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ
*Yatawafaa nini yale waliyo stareheshewa?
*of what avail to them will be that which they were given to enjoy?
26:208
وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُونَ
*Wala hatukuangamiza mji wo wote ila ulikuwa na waonyaji -
*We have not destroyed any town without its having warners,
26:209
ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
*Kuwa ni ukumbusho. Wala Sisi hatukuwa wenye kudhulumu.
*for the sake of admonition, and We were not unjust.
26:210
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ
*Wala Mashet´ani hawakuteremka nayo,
*It has not been brought down by the devils.
26:211
وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
*Wala haitakiwi kwao, na wala hawawezi.
*Neither does it behoove them, nor are they capable [of doing that].
26:212
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
*Hakika hao wametengwa na kusikia.
*Indeed, they are kept at bay [even] from hearing it.
26:213
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ
*Basi usimwombe mungu mwingine pamoja na Mwenyezi Mungu ukawa miongoni mwa watakao adhibiwa.
*So do not invoke any god besides Allah, lest you should be among the punished.
26:214
وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ
*Na uwaonye jamaa zako walio karibu nawe.
*Warn the nearest of your kinsfolk,
26:215
وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Na watwae kwa upole wanao kufuata miongoni mwa Waumini.
*and lower your wing to the faithful who follow you.
26:216
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
*Na ikiwa watakuasi basi sema: Mimi najitenga mbali na hayo mnayo yatenda.
*But if they disobey you, say, ‘I am absolved of what you do.’
26:217
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ
*Na umtegemee Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
*And put your trust in the All-mighty, the All-merciful,
26:218
الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
*Ambaye anakuona unapo simama,
*who sees you when you stand [for prayer],
26:219
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ
*Na mageuko yako kati ya wanao sujudu.
*and your going about among those who prostrate.
26:220
إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
*Hakika Yeye ndiye Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
*Indeed He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.
26:221
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ
*Je! Nikwambieni nani wanawashukia Mashet´ani?
*Should I inform you on whom the devils descend?
26:222
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
*Wanamshukia kila mzushi mkubwa mwingi wa dhambi.
*They descend on every sinful liar.
26:223
يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ
*Wanawapelekea yale wanayo yasikia; na wengi wao ni waongo.
*They eavesdrop, and most of them are liars.
26:224
وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ
*Na watungaji mashairi ni wapotofu ndio wanawafuata.
*As for the poets, [only] the perverse follow them.
26:225
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
*Je! Huwaoni kwamba wao wanatangatanga katika kila bonde?
*Have you not regarded that they rove in every valley,
26:226
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
*Na kwamba wao husema wasiyo yatenda?
*and that they say what they do not do?
26:227
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَانْتَصَرُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ
*Isipo kuwa wale walio amini, na wakatenda mema, na wakamkumbuka Mwenyezi Mungu kwa wingi, na wakajitetea wanapo dhulumiwa. Na wanao dhulumu watakuja jua mgeuko gani watakao geuka.
*Barring those who have faith, do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much often, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. And the wrongdoers will soon know at what goal they will end up.
