Sura 9 - At-Tawba

9:1
بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
*Huku ni kujitoa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake kwenye jukumu la maagano na mlio ahidiana nao katika washirikina.
*[This is] a [declaration of] repudiation by Allah and His Apostle [addressed] to the polytheists with whom you had made a treaty:
9:2
فَسِيحُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْزِي الْكَافِرِينَ
*Basi tembeeni katika nchi miezi mine, na jueni kwamba nyinyi hamwezi kumshinda Mwenyezi Mung, na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye anaye wahizi makafiri.
*Travel [unmolested] in the land for four months, but know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and that Allah shall disgrace the faithless.
9:3
وَأَذَانٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ۙ وَرَسُولُهُ ۚ فَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
*Na ni tangazo kutokana na Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake kwa wote siku ya Hija Kubwa kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake hawana jukumu lolote kwa washirikina. Basi mkitubu itakuwa kheri kwenu, na mkigeuka basi jueni kuwa nyinyi hamumshindi Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wabashirie makafiri kuwa watapata adhabu chungu.
*[This is] an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to all the people on the day of the greater Hajj: that Allah and His Apostle repudiate the polytheists: If you repent that is better for you; but if you turn your backs [on Allah], know that you cannot frustrate Allah, and inform the faithless of a painful punishment
9:4
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْقُصُوكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يُظَاهِرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
*Isipo kuwa washirikina ambao mliahidiana nao kisha wasikupunguzieni chochote, wala hawakumsaidia yeyote dhidi yenu, basi hao watimizieni ahadi yao mpaka muda wao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu huwapenda wacha-Mungu.
*(barring the polytheists with whom you have made a treaty, and who did not violate any [of its terms] with you, nor backed anyone against you. So fulfill the treaty with them until [the end of] its term. Indeed Allah loves the Godwary).
9:5
فَإِذَا انْسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ ۚ فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Na ikisha miezi mitukufu basi wauweni washirikina popote mwakutapo, na washikeni na wazungukeni, na wavizieni katika kila njia. Lakini wakitubu, wakashika Sala, na wakatoa Zaka, basi waachilieni. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*Then, when the sacred months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush. But if they repent, and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, then let them alone. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
9:6
وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسْمَعَ كَلَامَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
*Na ikiwa mmoja wapo katika washirikina akikuomba ulinzi, basi mpe ulinzi apate kusikia maneno ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Kisha mfikishe pahala pake pa amani. Haya ni kwa kuwa hao ni watu wasiojua kitu.
*If any of the polytheists seeks asylum from you, grant him asylum until he hears the Word of Allah. Then convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.
9:7
كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ فَمَا اسْتَقَامُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
*Itakuwaje iwepo ahadi na washirikina mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu na mbele ya Mtume wake, ila wale mlio ahidiana nao kwenye Msikiti Mtakatifu? Basi maadamu wanakwenda nanyi sawa, nanyi pia nendeni sawa nao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu huwapenda wachamngu
*How shall the polytheists have any [valid] treaty with Allah and His Apostle?! (Barring those with whom you made a treaty at the Holy Mosque; so long as they are steadfast with you, be steadfast with them. Indeed Allah loves the Godwary.)
9:8
كَيْفَ وَإِنْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا فِيكُمْ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ يُرْضُونَكُمْ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
*Itakuwaje! Nao wakikushindeni hawatazami kwenu udugu wala ahadi. Wanakufurahisheni kwa midomo yao tu, na nyoyo zao zinakataa hayo. Na wengi wao ni wapotovu.
*How? For if, they get the better of you, they will observe toward you neither kinship nor covenant. They please you with their mouths while their hearts spurn you; and most of them are transgressors.
9:9
اشْتَرَوْا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Wamenunua thamani ndogo kwa Ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu, na wakazuilia watu na Njia yake. Hakika hao ni maovu waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
*They have sold the signs of Allah for a paltry gain, and have barred [the people] from His way. Evil indeed is what they have been doing.
9:10
لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ
*Hawatazami kwa Muumini udugu wala ahadi; basi hao ndio warukao mipaka.
*They observe toward a believer neither kinship nor covenant, and it is they who are the transgressors.
9:11
فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
*Basi wakitubu na wakashika Sala na wakatoa Zaka, basi ni ndugu zenu katika Dini. Na tunazichambua Aya kwa watu wajuao.
*Yet if they repent and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, then they are your brethren in faith. We elaborate the signs for a people who have knowledge.
9:12
وَإِنْ نَكَثُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ فَقَاتِلُوا أَئِمَّةَ الْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَا أَيْمَانَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنْتَهُونَ
*Na wakivunja viapo vyao baada ya kuahidi kwao, na wakatukana Dini yenu, basi piganeni na waongozi wa ukafiri. Hakika hao hawana viapo vya kweli. Huenda (kwa hayo) wakaacha.
*But if they break their pledges after their having made a treaty and revile your religion, then fight the leaders of unfaith—indeed, they have no [commitment to] pledges,—maybe they will desist.
9:13
أَلَا تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَكَثُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا بِإِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُمْ بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ ۚ فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَخْشَوْهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Je, hamtapigana na watu walio vunja viapo vyao na wakawa na hamu ya kumfukuza Mtume, nao ndio walio kuanzeni mara ya kwanza? Je, mnawaogopa? Basi Mwenyezi Mungu anastahiki zaidi mumwogope, ikiwa nyinyi ni Waumini.
*Will you not make war on a people who broke their pledges and resolved to expel the Apostle, and opened [hostilities] against you initially? Do you fear them? But Allah is worthier of being feared by you, should you be faithful.
9:14
قَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنْصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Piganeni nao, Mwenyezi Mungu awaadhibu kwa mikono yenu, na awahizi na akunusuruni muwashinde, na avipoze vifua vya kaumu ya Waumini,
*Make war on them so that Allah may punish them by your hands and humiliate them, and help you against them, and heal the hearts of a faithful folk,
9:15
وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na aondoe hasira ya nyoyo zao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu humkubalia toba ya amtakaye. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*and remove rage from their hearts, and Allah turns clemently to whomever He wishes, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise
9:16
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تُتْرَكُوا وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِ وَلَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
*Je, mlidhani kuwa mtaachwa tu, bila ya Mwenyezi Mungu kuwajuulisha wale walio pigana Jihadi kati yenu, na wala hawakumfanya mwendani wao isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake na Waumini wenziwe? Na Mwenyezi Mungu anazo khabari za yote mnayo yatenda.
*Do you suppose that you will be let off while Allah has not yet ascertained those of you who wage jihad and those who do not take anyone as [their] confidant besides Allah and His Apostle and the faithful? Allah is well aware of what you do.
9:17
مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يَعْمُرُوا مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ شَاهِدِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ بِالْكُفْرِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ وَفِي النَّارِ هُمْ خَالِدُونَ
*Haiwi kuwa makafiri ndio waamirishe misikiti ya Mwenyezi Mungu, hali wanajishuhudishia wenyewe ukafiri. Hao ndio ambao vitendo vyao vimeharibika, na katika Moto watadumu.
*The polytheists may not maintain Allah’s mosques while they are witness to their own unfaith. Their works have failed, and they shall remain in the Fire [forever].
9:18
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
*Hakika wanao amirisha misikiti ya Mwenyezi Mungu ni wale wanao muamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Siku ya Mwisho, na wakashika Sala, na wakatoa Zaka, na wala hawamchi ila Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi huenda hao wakawa katika waongofu.
*Only those shall maintain Allah’s mosques who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and maintain the prayer, and give the zakat, and fear no one except Allah. They, hopefully, will be among the guided.
9:19
أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ الْحَاجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَجَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوُونَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Je, mnafanya kuwanywesha maji Mahujaji na kuamirisha Msikiti Mtakatifu ni sawa na mwenye kumuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Siku ya Mwisho, na akapigana Jihadi katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu? Hawawi sawa mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu madhaalimu.
*Do you regard the providing of water to Hajj pilgrims and the maintenance of the Holy Mosque as similar [in worth] to someone who has faith in Allah and [believes in] the Last Day and wages jihad in the way of Allah? They are not equal with Allah, and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.
9:20
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
*Wale walio amini, na wakahama, na wakapigana Jihadi katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa mali yao na nafsi zao, hao wana cheo kikubwa zaidi mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na hao ndio wenye kufuzu.
*Those who have believed and migrated, and waged jihad in the way of Allah with their possessions and persons have a greater rank near Allah, and it is they who are the triumphant.
9:21
يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْهُ وَرِضْوَانٍ وَجَنَّاتٍ لَهُمْ فِيهَا نَعِيمٌ مُقِيمٌ
*Mola wao Mlezi anawabashiria rehema zitokazo kwake, na radhi, na Bustani ambazo humo watapata neema za kudumu.
*Their Lord gives them the good news of His mercy and [His] pleasure, and for them there will be gardens with lasting bliss,
9:22
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
*Watadumu humo milele. Hakika kwa Mwenyezi Mungu yapo malipo makubwa.
*to remain in them forever. With Allah indeed is a great reward.
9:23
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Msiwafanye baba zenu na ndugu zenu kuwa vipenzi vyenu ikiwa wanastahabu ukafiri kuliko Imani. Na katika nyinyi atakaye wafanya hao ndio vipenzi vyake, basi hao ndio madhaalimu.
*O you who have faith! Do not befriend your fathers and brothers if they prefer faithlessness to faith. Those of you who befriend them—it is they who are the wrongdoers.
9:24
قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
*Sema: Ikiwa baba zenu, na wenenu, na ndugu zenu, na wake zenu, na jamaa zenu, na mali mliyo yachuma, na biashara mnazo ogopa kuharibika, na majumba mnayo yapenda, ni vipenzi zaidi kwenu kuliko Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake na Jihadi katika Njia yake, basi ngojeni mpaka Mwenyezi Mungu alete amri yake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu wapotovu.
*Say, ‘If your fathers and your sons, your brethren, your spouses, and your kinsfolk, the possessions that you have acquired, the business you fear may suffer, and the dwellings you are fond of, are dearer to you than Allah and His Apostle and to waging jihad in His way, then wait until Allah issues His edict, and Allah does not guide the transgressing lot.
9:25
لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ ۙ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ۙ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْكُمْ شَيْئًا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُمْ مُدْبِرِينَ
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amekunusuruni katika mapigano mengi, na siku ya Hunayni ambapo wingi wenu ulikupandisheni kichwa, lakini haukukufaeni kitu. Na ardhi ikawa dhiki kwenu juu ya upana wake. Kisha mkageuka mkarudi nyuma.
*Allah has certainly helped you in many situations, and on the day of Hunayn, when your great number impressed you, but it did not avail you in any way, and the earth became narrow for you in spite of its expanse, whereupon you turned your backs [to flee].
9:26
ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ جُنُودًا لَمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Kisha Mwenyezi Mungu akateremsha utulivu wake juu ya Mtume wake na juu ya Waumini. Na akateremsha majeshi ambayo hamkuyaona, na akawaadhibu wale walio kufuru. Na hayo ndiyo malipo ya makafiri.
*Then Allah sent down His composure upon His Apostle and upon the faithful, and He sent down hosts you did not see, and He punished the faithless, and that is the requital of the faithless.
9:27
ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Kisha baada ya hayo Mwenyezi Mungu atawasamehe awatakao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*Then Allah shall turn clemently after that to whomever He wishes. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
9:28
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Enyi mlio amini! Hakika washirikina ni najsi, kwa hivyo wasiukaribie Msikiti Mtakatifu baada ya mwaka wao huu. Na ikiwa mnakhofia umasikini, basi Mwenyezi Mungu atakutajirisheni kwa fadhila yake akipenda. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*O you who have faith! The polytheists are indeed unclean: so let them not approach the Holy Mosque after this year. Should you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His grace, if He wishes. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
9:29
قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ
*Piganeni na wasio muamini Mwenyezi Mungu wala Siku ya Mwisho, wala hawaharimishi alivyo harimisha Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, wala hawashiki Dini ya Haki, miongoni mwa walio pewa Kitabu, mpaka watoe kodi kwa khiari yao, hali wamet´ii.
*Fight those who do not have faith in Allah nor [believe] in the Last Day, nor forbid what Allah and His Apostle have forbidden, nor practise the true religion, from among those who were given the Book, until they pay the tribute out of hand, degraded.
9:30
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُمْ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
*Na Mayahudi wanasema: Uzeir ni mwana wa Mungu. Na Wakristo wanasema: Masihi ni mwana wa Mungu. Hiyo ndiyo kauli yao kwa vinywa vyao. Wanayaiga maneno ya walio kufuru kabla yao. Mwenyezi Mungu awaangamize! Wanageuzwa namna gani hawa!
*The Jews say, ‘Ezra is the son of Allah,’ and the Christians say, ‘Christ is the son of Allah.’ That is an opinion that they mouth, imitating the opinions of the faithless of former times. May Allah assail them, where do they stray?!
9:31
اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
*Wamewafanya makuhani wao na wamonaki wao kuwa ni marabi badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na pia Masihi bin Maryamu. Na wala hawakuamrishwa isipo kuwa wamuabudu Mungu Mmoja, hapana mungu ila Yeye. Subhanahu, Ametakasika na hayo wanayo mshirikisha nayo.
*They have taken their scribes and their monks as lords besides Allah, and also Christ, Mary’s son; though they were commanded to worship only the One God, there is no god except Him; He is far too immaculate to have any partners that they ascribe [to Him]!
9:32
يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ
*Wanataka kuizima Nuru ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa vinywa vyao, na Mwenyezi Mungu anakataa ila aitimize Nuru yake ijapo kuwa makafiri watachukia.
*They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah is intent on perfecting His light though the faithless should be averse.
9:33
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
*Yeye ndiye aliye mtuma Mtume wake kwa uwongofu na Dini ya Haki ipate kushinda dini zote, ijapo kuwa washirikina watachukia.
*It is He who has sent His Apostle with the guidance and the religion of truth that He may make it prevail over all religions, though the polytheists should be averse.
9:34
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
*Enyi mlio amini! Hakika wengi katika makuhani na wamonaki wanakula mali za watu kwa baat´ili na wanazuilia Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wanao kusanya dhahabu na fedha, wala hawazitumii katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wabashirie khabari ya adhabu iliyo chungu.
*O you who have faith! Indeed many of the scribes and monks wrongfully eat up the people’s wealth, and bar [them] from the way of Allah. Those who treasure up gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, inform them of a painful punishment
9:35
يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖ هَٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ
*Siku zitapo tiwa moto katika Moto wa Jahannamu, na kwazo vikachomwa vipaji vya nyuso zao na mbavu zao na migongo yao, wakaambiwa: Haya ndiyo mlio jilimbikia nafsi zenu, basi onjeni mliyo kuwa mkilimbika.
*on the day when these shall be heated in hellfire and therewith branded on their foreheads, their sides, and their backs [and told]: ‘This is what you treasured up for yourselves! So taste what you have treasured!’
9:36
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
*Hakika idadi ya miezi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni miezi kumi na mbili katika hukumu ya Mwenyezi Mungu tangu alipo umba mbingu na ardhi. Katika hiyo iko mine mitakatifu. Hiyo ndiyo Dini iliyo sawa. Basi msidhulumu nafsi zenu humo. Na piganeni na washirikina wote kama wao wnavyo pigana nanyi nyote. Na jueni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja na wachamngu.
*Indeed the number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah’s Book, the day when He created the heavens and the earth. Of these, four are sacred. That is the upright religion. So do not wrong yourselves during them. Fight all the polytheists, just as they fight you all, and know that Allah is with the Godwary.
9:37
إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ ۖ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا لِيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ ۚ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ أَعْمَالِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Bila ya shaka kuakhirisha (miezi) ni kuzidi katika kukufuru; kwa hayo hupotezwa walio kufuru. Wanauhalalisha mwaka mmoja na kuharimisha mwaka mwingine, ili wafanye kuwa sawa idadi ya ile (miezi) aliyo itukuza Mwenyezi Mungu. Kwa hivyo huhalalisha alivyo viharimisha Mwenyezi Mungu. Wamepambiwa ubaya wa vitendo vyao hivi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu makafiri.
*Indeed nasee is an increase in unfaith, whereby the faithless are led [further] astray. They allow it in one year and forbid it another year, so as to fit in with the number, which Allah has made inviolable, thus permitting what Allah has forbidden. Their evil deeds appear to them as decorous, and Allah does not guide the faithless lot.
9:38
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انْفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ۚ أَرَضِيتُمْ بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mna nini mnapo ambiwa: Nendeni katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, mnajitia uzito katika ardhi? Je, mmeridhia maisha ya dunia kuliko ya Akhera? Lakini starehe za maisha ya dunia kulinganisha na ya Akhera ni chache.
*O you who have faith! What is the matter with you that when you are told: ‘Go forth in the way of Allah,’ you sink heavily to the ground? Are you pleased with the life of this world instead of the Hereafter? But the wares of the life of this world compared with the Hereafter are but insignificant.
9:39
إِلَّا تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
*Kama hamwendi atakuadhibuni adhabu chungu, na atawaleta watu wengine, wala nyinyi hamtamdhuru chochote. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Muweza wa kila kitu.
*If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment, and replace you with another people, and you will not hurt Him in the least, and Allah has power over all things.
9:40
إِلَّا تَنْصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا ۖ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُ بِجُنُودٍ لَمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا السُّفْلَىٰ ۗ وَكَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ الْعُلْيَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Ikiwa nyinyi hamtamnusuru Mtume, basi Mwenyezi Mungu alikwisha mnusuru walipo mtoa walio kufuru, naye ni wa pili katika wawili walipo kuwa katika pango, naye akamwambia sahibu yake: Usihuzunike. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja nasi. Mwenyezi Mungu akamteremshia utulivu wake, na akamuunga mkono kwa majeshi msiyo yaona, na akalifanya neno la walio kufuru kuwa chini, na Neno la Mwenyezi Mungu kuwa ndilo juu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye hikima.
*If you do not help him, then Allah certainly helped him when the faithless expelled him, as one of two [refugees], when the two of them were in the cave, he said to his companion, ‘Do not grieve; Allah is indeed with us.’ Then Allah sent down His composure upon him, and strengthened him with hosts you did not see, and He made the word of the faithless the lowest; and the word of Allah is the highest; and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.
9:41
انْفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Nendeni mtoke, mkiwa wepesi na wazito, na piganeni Jihadi kwa mali yenu na nafsi zenu katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Haya ni kheri kwenu mkiwa mnajua.
*Go forth, whether [armed] lightly or heavily, and wage jihad with your possessions and persons in the way of Allah. That is better for you, should you know.
9:42
لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيبًا وَسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَاتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَٰكِنْ بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّقَّةُ ۚ وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
*Na lau ingeli kuwa ipo faida ya papo kwa papo, na safari yenyewe ni fupi, wangeli kufuata. Lakini wameona ni mbali na kuna mashaka. Nao wataapa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu: Tungeli weza bila ya shaka tungeli toka pamoja nanyi. Wanaziangamiza nafsi zao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anajua kuwa hakika hao ni waongo.
*Were it an accessible gain or a short journey, they would have surely followed you; but the distance seemed too far to them. Yet they will swear by Allah: ‘If we could, we would have surely gone forth with you.’ They [merely] destroy themselves. Allah knows that they are indeed liars.
9:43
عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْكَ لِمَ أَذِنْتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَتَعْلَمَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amekusamehe! Kwa nini ukawapa ruhusa kabla ya kubainikia kwako wanao sema kweli, na ukawajua waongo?
*May Allah excuse you! Why did you grant them leave [to stay behind] before those who told the truth were evident to you and you had ascertained the liars?
9:44
لَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ
*Hawatakuomba ruhusa wale wanao muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho, wasende kupigana Jihadi kwa mali yao na nafsi zao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwajua wachamngu.
*Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day do not ask you for leave [exempting them] from waging jihad with their possessions and their persons, and Allah knows best the Godwary.
9:45
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَارْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ
*Wasio muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho na nyoyo zao zikatia shaka, hao tu ndio wanao kutaka ruhusa. Basi hao wanataradadi katika shaka zao.
*Only those seek a leave [of exemption] from you who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt, so they waver in their doubt.
9:46
وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا الْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّوا لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلَٰكِنْ كَرِهَ اللَّهُ انْبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ اقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ
*Na ingeli kuwa kweli walitaka kutoka bila ya shaka wangeli jiandalia maandalio, lakini Mwenyezi Mungu kachukia kutoka kwao, na kwa hivyo akawazuia na ikasemwa: Kaeni pamoja na wanao kaa!
*Had they desired to go forth, they would have surely made some preparations for it; but Allah was averse to arouse them, so He held them back, and it was said [to them], ‘Be seated with those who sit back.’
9:47
لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُمْ مَا زَادُوكُمْ إِلَّا خَبَالًا وَلَأَوْضَعُوا خِلَالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ
*Lau wangeli toka nanyi wasingeli kuzidishieni ila mchafuko, na wange tanga tanga kati yenu kukutilieni fitna. Na miongoni mwenu wapo wanao wasikiliza. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anawajua madhaalimu.
*Had they gone forth with you, they would have only added to your troubles, and they would have surely spread rumours in your midst, seeking to cause sedition among you. They have some spies among you, and Allah knows best the wrongdoers.
9:48
لَقَدِ ابْتَغَوُا الْفِتْنَةَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَقَلَّبُوا لَكَ الْأُمُورَ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ
*Tangu zamani walitaka kukutilieni fitna, na wakakupindulia mambo juu chini, mpaka ikaja Haki na ikadhihirika amri ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na wao wamechukia.
*They certainly sought to cause sedition earlier, and upset the matters for you, until the truth came and Allah’s command prevailed, much as they were averse.
9:49
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي ۚ أَلَا فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا ۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ
*Na miongoni mwao wapo wanao sema: Niruhusu wala usinitie katika fitina. Kwa yakini wao hivyo wamekwisha tumbukia katika fitina. Na hakika Jahannamu imewazunguka.
*Among them there are some who say, ‘Give me leave, and do not put me to temptation.’ Look! They have already fallen into temptation and indeed hell besieges the faithless.
9:50
إِنْ تُصِبْكَ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْكَ مُصِيبَةٌ يَقُولُوا قَدْ أَخَذْنَا أَمْرَنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَيَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُمْ فَرِحُونَ
*Ukikupata wema unawachukiza, na ukikusibu msiba, wao husema: Sisi tuliangalia mambo yetu vizuri tangu kwanza. Na hugeuka kwenda zao nao wamefurahi.
*If some good should befall you, it upsets them; but if an adversity befalls you, they say, ‘We had already taken our precautions in advance,’ and they go away boasting.
9:51
قُلْ لَنْ يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَانَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
*Sema: Halitusibu ila alilo tuandikia Mwenyezi Mungu. Yeye ndiye Mola wetu Mlinzi. Na Waumini wamtegemee Mwenyezi Mungu tu!
*Say, ‘Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our master, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust.’
9:52
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلَّا إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ ۖ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ
*Sema: Hivyo mnatutazamia litupate lolote isipo kuwa moja katika mema mawili? Na sisi tunakutazamieni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu akufikishieni adhabu itokayo kwake, au kutokana na mikono yetu. Basi ngojeni, nasi tunangoja pamoja nanyi.
*Say, ‘Do you not await one of the two excellent things to happen to us? But we await that Allah shall visit on you a punishment, from Him, or by our hands. So wait! We too are waiting along with you.’
9:53
قُلْ أَنْفِقُوا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَنْ يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
*Sema: Toeni mkipenda msipende. Hakitopokelewa kitu kwenu, kwani nyinyi ni watu wapotovu.
*Say, ‘Spend willingly or unwillingly, it shall never be accepted from you; for you are indeed a transgressing lot.’
9:54
وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ
*Na hawakuzuiliwa kukubaliwa michango yao ila kwa kuwa walimkataa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, wala hawaji kwenye Sala ila kwa uvivu, wala hawatoi michango ila nao wamechukia.
*Nothing stops their charities from being accepted except that they have no faith in Allah and His Apostle and do not perform the prayer but lazily, and do not spend but reluctantly.
9:55
فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ بِهَا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
*Yasikufurahishe mali yao wala wana wao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kuwaadhibu kwayo hapa duniani, na zitoke roho zao na hali wao ni makafiri.
*So let not their wealth and children impress you: Allah only desires to punish them with these in the life of this world, and that their souls may depart while they are faithless.
9:56
وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْكُمْ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ
*Na wanaapa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu kwamba wao ni katika nyinyi, wala wao si katika nyinyi. Lakini ni watu wanao ogopa.
*They swear by Allah that they belong to you, but they do not belong to you. Rather, they are a frightened lot.
9:57
لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا لَوَلَّوْا إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ
*Lau kama wangeli pata pa kukimbilia au mapango au pahala pa kuingia basi wangeli fyatuka mbio kuelekea huko.
*If they could find a refuge, or a hideout, or a hole [to creep into], they would turn to it in frantic haste.
9:58
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ فَإِنْ أُعْطُوا مِنْهَا رَضُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَوْا مِنْهَا إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ
*Na miongoni mwao wapo wanao kusengenya katika kugawa sadaka. Wanapo pewa wao huridhika. Na wakito pewa hukasirika.
*There are some of them who blame you regarding [the distribution of] the charities: if they are given from them, they are pleased, but if they are not given from them, behold, they are displeased.
9:59
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَرَسُولُهُ إِنَّا إِلَى اللَّهِ رَاغِبُونَ
*Na laiti wao wangeli ridhia kile alicho wapa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, na wakasema: Mwenyezi Mungu anatutosheleza, Mwenyezi Mungu atatupa katika fadhila yake - na pia Mtume wake; hakika sisi ni wenye kumtaka Mwenyezi Mungu!
*[It would have been better] if they had been pleased with what Allah and His Apostle gave them, and had said, ‘Allah is sufficient for us; Allah and His Apostle will give to us out of His grace. Indeed to Allah do we eagerly turn.’
9:60
إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Wa kupewa sadaka ni mafakiri, na masikini, na wanao zitumikia, na wa kutiwa nguvu nyoyo zao, na katika kukomboa watumwa, na wenye madeni, na katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na wasafiri. Huu ni waajibu ulio faridhiwa na Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*The charities are only for the poor and the needy, and those employed to collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and for [the freedom of] the slaves and the debtors, and in the way of Allah, and for the traveller. [This is] an ordinance from Allah, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
9:61
وَمِنْهُمُ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ النَّبِيَّ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ أُذُنٌ ۚ قُلْ أُذُنُ خَيْرٍ لَكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَيُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Na miongoni mwao wapo wanao muudhi Nabii na kusema: Yeye huyu ni sikio tu. Sema: Basi ni sikio la kheri kwenu. Anamuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na ana imani na Waumini, naye ni rehema kwa wanao amini miongoni mwenu. Na wanao muudhi Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu watapata adhabu chungu.
*Among them are those who torment the Prophet, and say, ‘He is an ear.’ Say, ‘An ear that is good for you. He has faith in Allah and trusts the faithful, and is a mercy for those of you who have faith.’ As for those who torment the Apostle of Allah, there is a painful punishment for them.
9:62
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُرْضُوهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Wanakuapieni Mwenyezi Mungu ili kukuridhisheni nyinyi, hali ya kuwa wanao stahiki zaidi kuridhishwa ni Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, lau kama wao ni Waumini.
*They swear to you by Allah, to please you; but Allah and His Apostle are worthier that they should please Him, should they be faithful.
9:63
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ مَنْ يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْخِزْيُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Je, hawajui ya kwamba anaye shindana na Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, basi huyo atapata Moto wa Jahannamu adumu humo? Hiyo ndiyo hizaya kubwa.
*Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Apostle, there awaits him the Fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]? That is the great disgrace.
9:64
يَحْذَرُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ أَنْ تُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةٌ تُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلِ اسْتَهْزِئُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْرِجٌ مَا تَحْذَرُونَ
*Wanaafiki wanaogopa isije teremshwa Sura itakayo watajia yaliyomo katika nyoyo zao. Sema: Fanyeni mzaha! Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu atayatoa nje hayo mnayo yaogopa.
*The hypocrites are apprehensive lest a surah should be sent down against them, informing them about what is in their hearts. Say, ‘Go on deriding. Allah will indeed bring out what you are apprehensive of.’
9:65
وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ ۚ قُلْ أَبِاللَّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
*Na ukiwauliza, wanasema: Sisi tulikuwa tukipiga porojo na kucheza tu. Sema: Mlikuwa mkimfanyia maskhara Mwenyezi Mungu na Ishara zake na Mtume wake?
*If you question them [regarding their conduct], they will surely say, ‘We were just gossiping and amusing ourselves.’ Say, ‘Were you deriding Allah, His signs, and His apostles?
9:66
لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنْ نَعْفُ عَنْ طَائِفَةٍ مِنْكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
*Msitoe udhuru; mmekwisha kufuru baada ya kuamini kwenu! Tukilisamehe kundi moja kati yenu, tutaliadhibu kundi jingine kwa kuwa wao ni wakosefu.
*Do not make excuses. You have disbelieved after your faith.’ If We forgive a group among you, We will punish another group, for they have been guilty.
9:67
الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمُنْكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ ۚ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
*Wanaume wanaafiki na wanawake wanaafiki, wote ni hali moja. Huamrisha maovu na huyakataza mema, na huifumba mikono yao. Wamemsahau Mwenyezi Mungu, basi na Yeye pia amewasahau. Hakika wanaafiki ndio wapotofu.
*The hypocrites, men and women, are all alike: they bid what is wrong and forbid what is right; and are tight-fisted. They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. The hypocrites are indeed the transgressors.
9:68
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْ ۚ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amewaahidi wanaafiki wanaume na wanaafiki wanawake na makafiri Moto wa Jahannamu kudumu humo. Hayo yanawatosha, na Mwenyezi Mungu amewalaani; nao wana adhabu milele.
*Allah has promised the hypocrites, men and women, and the faithless, the Fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]. That suffices them. Allah has cursed them, and there is a lasting punishment for them.
9:69
كَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا بِخَلَاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلَاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذِي خَاضُوا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
*Ni kama wale walio kuwa kabla yenu. Walikuwa wana nguvu na mali na watoto zaidi kuliko nyinyi. Basi walistarehea fungu lao, na nyinyi mnastarehea fungu lenu, kama walivyo starehe kwa fungu lao wale walio kuwa kabla yenu. Na nyinyi mkazama katika maovu kama wao walivyo zama. Hao ndio ambao vitendo vyao vimeharibika katika dunia na Akhera; na hao ndio walio khasiri.
*[Hypocrites! Your case is] similar to those who were before you, who were more powerful than you and more abounding in wealth and children: they enjoyed their share [of worldly existence]; you too enjoy your share, just like those who were before you enjoyed their share, and you have gossiped [impiously] as they gossiped. They are the ones whose works have failed in this world and the Hereafter; and it is they who are the losers.
9:70
أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ ۚ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
*Je, hazikuwafikia khabari za walio kuwa kabla yao - kaumu ya Nuhu, na A´ad, na Thamud, na kaumu ya Ibrahim, na watu wa Madyana, na miji iliyo pinduliwa chini juu? Mitume wao waliwafikia kwa hoja zilizo wazi. Basi Mwenyezi Mungu hakuwa mwenye kuwadhulumu, walakini wao walikuwa wakijidhulumu wenyewe.
*Has there not come to them the account of those who were before them—the people of Noah, ‘Ad, and Thamud, and the people of Abraham, the inhabitants of Midian, and the towns that were overturned? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs. So it was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who used to wrong themselves.
9:71
وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake wao kwa wao ni marafiki walinzi. Huamrisha mema na hukataza maovu, na hushika Sala, na hutoa Zaka, na humt´ii Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake. Hao Mwenyezi Mungu atawarehemu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.
*But the faithful, men and women, are comrades of one another: they bid what is right and forbid what is wrong and maintain the prayer, give the zakat, and obey Allah and His Apostle. It is they to whom Allah will soon grant His mercy. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.
9:72
وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ۚ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amewaahidi Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake Bustani zipitazo mito kati yake, wadumu humo. Na makaazi mema katika Bustani za kudumu, na Radhi za Mwenyezi Mungu ndio kubwa kuliko yote. Huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*Allah has promised the faithful, men and women, gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and good dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. Yet Allah’s pleasure is greater [than all these]; that is the great success.
9:73
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
*Ewe Nabii! Pambana na makafiri na wanaafiki, na wakazanie. Na makaazi yao ni Jahannamu, na huo ndio mwisho mbaya.
*O Prophet! Wage jihad against the faithless and the hypocrites, and be severe with them. Their refuge shall be hell, and it is an evil destination.
9:74
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا ۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوا إِلَّا أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ فَإِنْ يَتُوبُوا يَكُ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
*Wanaapa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu kuwa hawakusema; nao wamekwisha sema neno la ukafiri, na wakakufuru baada ya kusilimu kwao. Na wakajihimu kufanya ambayo hawakuweza kuyafikia. Na hawakuchukia ila kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake amewatajirisha kutokana na fadhila zake. Wakitubu itakuwa kheri kwao, na wakigeuka Mwenyezi Mungu atawaadhibu adhabu chungu duniani na Akhera. Na wala hawana katika ardhi mlinzi wala wa kuwanusuru.
*They swear by Allah that they did not say it. But they certainly did utter the word of unfaith and renounced faith after their Islam. They contemplated what they could not achieve, and they were vindictive only because Allah and His Apostle had enriched them out of His grace. Yet if they repent, it will be better for them; but if they turn away, Allah shall punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they shall not find on the earth any guardian or helper.
9:75
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
*Na miongoni mwao wapo walio muahidi Mwenyezi Mungu kwa kusema: Akitupa katika fadhila yake hapana shaka tutatoa sadaka, na tutakuwa katika watendao mema.
*Among them are those who made a pledge with Allah: ‘If He gives us out of His grace, we will surely give the zakat and we will surely be among the righteous.’
9:76
فَلَمَّا آتَاهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ بَخِلُوا بِهِ وَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
*Alipo wapa katika fadhila yake wakaifanyia ubakhili na wakageuka, na huku wakipuuza.
*But when He gave them out of His grace, they begrudged it and turned away, being disregardful.
9:77
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ بِمَا أَخْلَفُوا اللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ
*Basi akawalipa unaafiki kuutia nyoyoni mwao mpaka Siku watapo kutana naye, kwa sababu ya kuwa walimkhalifu Mwenyezi Mungu katika yale waliyo muahidi, na kwa sababu ya kusema kwao uwongo.
*So He caused hypocrisy to ensue in their hearts until the day they will encounter Him, because of their going back on what they had promised Allah and because of the lies they used to tell.
9:78
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ
*Je, hawajui kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu anajua siri zao na minong´ono yao, na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuyajua sana ya ghaibu?
*Do they not know that Allah knows their secret [thoughts] and [hears] their secret talks, and that Allah is knower of all that is Unseen?
9:79
الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ ۙ سَخِرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Wale wanao wabeuwa Waumini wanao toa sadaka nyingi na wasio nacho cha kutoa ila kadri ya juhudi yao, basi huwakejeli. Mwenyezi Mungu atawakejeli wao! Nao watapata adhabu chungu!
*Those who blame the voluntary donors from among the faithful concerning the charities—and as for those who do not find [anything] except [what] their means [permit], they ridicule them—Allah shall put them to ridicule, and there is a painful punishment for them.
9:80
اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِنْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
*Waombee msamaha au usiwaombee. Hata ukiwaombea msamaha mara sabiini, Mwenyezi Mungu hatawasamehe. Hayo ni kwa sababu ya kuwa wao wamemkataa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu wapotofu.
*Whether you plead forgiveness for them or do not plead forgiveness for them, even if you plead forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah shall never forgive them because they defied Allah and His Apostle; and Allah does not guide the transgressing lot.
9:81
فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلَافَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوا أَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالُوا لَا تَنْفِرُوا فِي الْحَرِّ ۗ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ
*Walifurahi walio achwa nyuma kwa kule kubakia kwao nyuma na kumuacha Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na walichukia kupigana Jihadi kwa mali zao na nafsi zao, na wakasema: Msitoke nje katika joto! Sema: Moto wa Jahannamu una joto zaidi, laiti wangeli fahamu!
*Those who were left behind boasted for sitting back against [the command of] the Apostle of Allah, and were reluctant to wage jihad with their possessions and persons in the way of Allah, and they said, ‘Do not go forth in this heat.’ Say, The fire of hell is severer in heat, should they understand.
9:82
فَلْيَضْحَكُوا قَلِيلًا وَلْيَبْكُوا كَثِيرًا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
*Basi nawacheke kidogo; watalia sana. Hayo ni malipo ya yale waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.
*So let them laugh a little; much will they weep as a requital for what they used to earn.
9:83
فَإِنْ رَجَعَكَ اللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَائِفَةٍ مِنْهُمْ فَاسْتَأْذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُلْ لَنْ تَخْرُجُوا مَعِيَ أَبَدًا وَلَنْ تُقَاتِلُوا مَعِيَ عَدُوًّا ۖ إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُمْ بِالْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَاقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْخَالِفِينَ
*Basi Mwenyezi Mungu akikurudisha kwenye kikundi kimoja miongoni mwao - na wakakutaka idhini ya kutoka - sema: Nyinyi hamtatoka pamoja nami kabisa, wala hamtapigana na adui pamoja nami. Nyinyi mliridhia kukaa nyuma mara ya kwanza, basi kaeni pamoja na hao watakao bakia nyuma.
*If Allah brings you back [from the battlefront] to a group of them and they seek your permission to go forth, say, ‘You shall never go forth with me, and you shall not fight with me against any enemy. You were indeed pleased to sit back the first time, so sit back with those who stay behind.’
9:84
وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ مَاتَ أَبَدًا وَلَا تَقُمْ عَلَىٰ قَبْرِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
*Wala usimsalie kabisa yeyote katika wao akifa, wala usisimame kaburini kwake. Hakika hao wamemkataa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, na wakafa na hali ni wapotofu.
*And never pray over any of them when he dies, nor stand at his graveside. They indeed defied Allah and His Apostle and died as transgressors.
9:85
وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَأَوْلَادُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
*Wala zisikushitue mali zao na watoto wao. Mwenyezi Mungu anataka kuwaadhibu kwa hayo katika dunia; na zitoke roho zao na hali wao ni makafiri.
*Let not their possessions or their children impress you. Allah only desires to punish them with these in this world, and that their souls may depart while they are faithless.
9:86
وَإِذَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَجَاهِدُوا مَعَ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُولُو الطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا ذَرْنَا نَكُنْ مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ
*Na inapo teremshwa Sura isemayo: Muaminini Mwenyezi Mungu na piganeni Jihadi pamoja na Mtume wake, wale wenye nguvu miongoni mwao hukutaka ruhusa na husema: Tuache tuwe pamoja na wanao kaa nyuma!
*When a surah is sent down [declaring]: ‘Have faith in Allah, and wage jihad along with His Apostle, the affluent among them ask you for leave, and say, ‘Let us remain with those who sit back.’
9:87
رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
*Wameridhia kuwa pamoja na wabakiao nyuma, na nyoyo zao zikapigwa muhuri; kwa hivyo hawafahamu.
*They are pleased to be with those who stay back, and their hearts have been sealed. So they do not understand.
9:88
لَٰكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ جَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
*Lakini Mtume na wale walio amini pamoja naye waliwania Jihadi kwa mali zao na nafsi zao. Hao ndio watakao pata kheri nyingi, na hao ndio wenye kufanikiwa.
*But the Apostle and the faithful who are with him wage jihad with their possessions and persons, and to such belong all the blessings, and it is they who are the felicitous.
9:89
أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amewatengenezea Bustani zipitazo mito kati yake, wadumu humo. Huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*Allah has prepared for them gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever]. That is the great success.
9:90
وَجَاءَ الْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ وَقَعَدَ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Na walikuja wenye kutoa udhuru katika Mabedui ili wapewe ruhusa, na wakakaa wale walio mwambia Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake uwongo. Itawafika walio kufuru katika wao adhabu chungu.
*Some of the Bedouins who sought to be excused came, so that they may be granted leave [to stay back]; while those who lied to Allah and His Apostle sat back. Soon there shall visit the faithless among them a painful punishment.
9:91
لَيْسَ عَلَى الضُّعَفَاءِ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرْضَىٰ وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُوا لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۚ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْسِنِينَ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Hapana lawama kwa wanyonge, wagonjwa, na wasio pata cha kutumia, maadamu wanamsafia niya Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake. Hapana njia ya kuwalaumu wanao fanya wema. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*There is no blame on the weak, nor on the sick, nor on those who do not find anything to spend, so long as they are sincere to Allah and His Apostle. There is no [cause for] blaming the virtuous, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
9:92
وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوْا وَأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا مَا يُنْفِقُونَ
*Wala wale walio kujia ili uwachukue ukasema: Sina kipando cha kukuchukueni. Tena wakarudi na macho yao yanamiminika machozi kwa huzuni ya kukosa cha kutoa.
*Nor [is there any blame] on those to whom, when they came to you to provide them with a mount, you said, ‘I do not find any mount for you,’ and they turned back, their eyes flowing with tears, grieved because they did not find any means to spend.
9:93
إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَاءُ ۚ رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
*Ipo njia ya kuwalaumu wale wanao kuomba ruhusa wasende vitani na hali wao ni matajiri. Wameridhia kuwa pamoja na wanao bakia nyuma. Na Mwenyezi Mungu amewapiga muhuri juu ya nyoyo zao. Kwa hivyo hawajui.
*The blame lies only on those who ask leave of you [to stay behind] though they are well-off. They are pleased to be with those who stay back; Allah has set a seal on their hearts, so they do not know [the outcome of their conduct].
9:94
يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُلْ لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَنَا اللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِكُمْ ۚ وَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
*WATAKUTOLEENI UDHURU mtapo warudia. Sema: Msitoe udhuru; hatukuaminini. Mwenyezi Mungu amekwisha tueleza khabari zenu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake wataviona vitendo vyenu. Kisha mtarudishwa kwa Mjuzi wa ya siri na ya dhaahiri; naye atakuambieni mliyo kuwa mkiyatenda.
*They will offer you excuses when you return to them. Say, ‘Do not make excuses; we will never believe you. Allah has informed us of your state of affairs. Allah and His Apostle will observe your conduct, then you will be returned to the Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, and He will inform you concerning what you used to do.’
9:95
سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ ۖ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
*Watakuapieni kwa Mwenyezi Mungu mtakapo rudi kwao ili muwaachilie mbali. Basi waachilieni mbali. Hakika hao ni najsi, na makaazi yao ni Jahannamu, kuwa ni malipo kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.
*They will swear to you by Allah when you return to them, that you may leave them alone. So leave them alone. They are indeed filth, and their refuge shall be hell, a requital for what they used to earn.
9:96
يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَإِنْ تَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَرْضَىٰ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
*Wanakuapieni ili muwe radhi nao. Basi hata mkiwa radhi nao nyiye, Mwenyezi Mungu hawi radhi na watu wapotofu.
*They swear to you that you may be reconciled to them. But even if you are reconciled to them, Allah shall not be reconciled to the transgressing lot.
9:97
الْأَعْرَابُ أَشَدُّ كُفْرًا وَنِفَاقًا وَأَجْدَرُ أَلَّا يَعْلَمُوا حُدُودَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Mabedui wamezidi sana katika ukafiri na unaafiki, na wameelekea zaidi kutojua mipaka ya aliyo yateremsha Mwenyezi Mungu juu ya Mtume wake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi Mwenye hikima.
*The Bedouins are more obdurate in unfaith and hypocrisy, and more apt to be ignorant of the precepts that Allah has sent down to His Apostle, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
9:98
وَمِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنْفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ الدَّوَائِرَ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
*Na katika Mabedui hao wapo wanao fikiri kuwa wanayo yatoa ni gharama ya bure, na wanakungojeleeni mambo yakugeukieni. Mageuko maovu yatakuwa juu yao! Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
*Among the Bedouins are those who regard what they spend as a loss, and they watch for a reversal of your fortunes. Theirs shall be an adverse turn of fortune, and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.
9:99
وَمِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنْفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَصَلَوَاتِ الرَّسُولِ ۚ أَلَا إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَهُمْ ۚ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Na katika Mabedui wapo wanao muamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Siku ya Mwisho, na wanaitakidi kuwa wanayo yatoa ndiyo ya kuwasogeza kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na ya kuwapatia dua za Mtume. Naam! Hayo ni kweli mambo ya kuwasogeza. Mwenyezi Mungu atawaingiza katika rehema yake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye maghfira Mwenye kurehemu.
*Yet among the Bedouins are [also] those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and regard what they spend as [a means of attaining] nearness to Allah and the blessings of the Apostle. Now, it shall indeed bring them nearness, and Allah will admit them into His mercy. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
9:100
وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Na wale walio tangulia, wa kwanza, katika Wahajiri na Ansari, na walio wafuata kwa wema, Mwenyezi Mungu ameridhika nao, na wao wameridhika naye; na amewaandalia Bustani zipitazo mito kati yake, wadumu humo milele. Huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
*The early vanguard of the Emigrants and the Helpers and those who followed them in virtue—Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. That is the great success.
9:101
وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ مُنَافِقُونَ ۖ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ۖ مَرَدُوا عَلَى النِّفَاقِ لَا تَعْلَمُهُمْ ۖ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚ سَنُعَذِّبُهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Na katika mabedui walio jirani zenu wamo wanaafiki; na katika wenyeji wa Madina pia wapo walio bobea katika unaafiki. Wewe huwajui. Sisi tunawajua. Tutawaadhibu mara mbili, kisha watarudishwa kwenye adhabu kubwa.
*There are hypocrites among the Bedouins around you and among the townspeople of Madinah, steeped in hypocrisy. You do not know them; We know them, and We will punish them twice, then they shall be consigned to a great punishment.
9:102
وَآخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Na wengine walikiri dhambi zao, wakachanganya vitendo vyema na vingine viovu. Asaa Mwenyezi Mungu akapokea toba zao. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*[There are] others who have confessed to their sins, having mixed up righteous conduct with other that was evil. Maybe Allah will accept their repentance. Indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.
9:103
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِمْ بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّ صَلَاتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
*Chukua sadaka katika mali zao, uwasafishe na uwatakase kwazo, na uwaombee rehema. Hakika maombi yako ni utulivu kwao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
*Take charity from their possessions to cleanse them and purify them thereby, and bless them. Indeed your blessing is a comfort to them, and Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing.
9:104
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَأْخُذُ الصَّدَقَاتِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Je! Hawajui ya kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu anapokea toba ya waja wake, na anazikubali sadaka, na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwingi wa kupokea toba na Mwenye kurehemu?
*Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts the repentance of His servants and receives the charities, and that it is Allah who is the All-clement, the All-merciful?
9:105
وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۖ وَسَتُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
*Na sema: Tendeni vitendo. Na Mwenyezi Mungu, na Mtume wake, na Waumini wataviona vitendo vyenu. Na mtarudishwa kwa Mwenye kujua siri na dhaahiri; naye atakuambieni mliyo kuwa mkiyatenda.
*And say, ‘Go on working: Allah will see your conduct, and His Apostle and the faithful [as well], and you will be returned to the Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, and He will inform you concerning what you used to do.
9:106
وَآخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na wapo wengine wanangojea amri ya Mwenyezi Mungu - ama atawaadhibu au atawasamehe. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*[There are] others waiting Allah’s edict: either He shall punish them, or turn to them clemently, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
9:107
وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًا بَيْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِمَنْ حَارَبَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلَّا الْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
*Na wapo walio jenga msikiti kwa ajili ya madhara na ukafiri na kuwafarikisha Waumini, na pa kuvizia kwa walio mpiga vita Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake hapo kabla. Na bila ya shaka wataapa kwamba: Hatukukusudia ila wema tu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anashuhudia kuwa wao ni waongo.
*As for those who took to a mosque for sabotage and for defiance, and to cause division among the faithful, and for the purpose of ambush [used] by those who have fought Allah and His Apostle before—they will surely swear, ‘We desired nothing but good,’ and Allah bears witness that they are indeed liars.
9:108
لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا ۚ لَمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَقُومَ فِيهِ ۚ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ
*Usisimame kwenye msikiti huo kabisa. Msikiti ulio jengwa juu ya msingi wa uchamngu tangu siku ya mwanzo unastahiki zaidi wewe usimame ndani yake. Humo wamo watu wanao penda kujitakasa. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anawapenda wanao jitakasa.
*Do not stand in it ever! A mosque founded on Godwariness from the [very] first day is worthier that you stand in it [for prayer]. Therein are men who love to keep pure, and Allah loves those who keep pure.
9:109
أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ تَقْوَىٰ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَانَهُ عَلَىٰ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَانْهَارَ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Je! Mwenye kuweka msingi wa jengo lake juu ya kumcha Mwenyezi Mungu na radhi zake ni bora au mwenye kuweka msingi wa jengo lake juu ya ukingo wa shimo linalo burugunyika, na likaburugunyika naye katika Moto wa Jahannamu? Na Mwenyezi Mungu hawaongoi watu madhaalimu.
*Is he who founds his building on Godwariness and [the pursuit of Allah’s] pleasure better-off or he who founds his building on the brink of a collapsing bank which collapses with him into the fire of hell? Allah does not guide the wrongdoing lot.
9:110
لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَانُهُمُ الَّذِي بَنَوْا رِيبَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na jengo lao hilo walilo lijenga litakuwa sababu ya kutia wasiwasi nyoyoni mwao mpaka nyoyo zao hizo zikatike vipande vipande. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*The building they have built will never cease to be [a source of] disquiet in their hearts until their hearts are cut into pieces, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.
9:111
إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ ۚ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ ۖ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ ۚ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذِي بَايَعْتُمْ بِهِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu amenunua kwa Waumini nafsi zao na mali zao kwa kuwa wao watapata Pepo. Wanapigana katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu - wanauwa na wanauwawa. Hii ni ahadi aliyo jilazimisha kwa Haki katika Taurati na Injili na Qur´ani. Na nani atimizae ahadi kuliko Mwenyezi Mungu? Basi furahini kwa biashara yenu mliyo fanya naye. Na huko ndiko kufuzu kukubwa,
*Indeed Allah has bought from the faithful their souls and their possessions for paradise to be theirs: they fight in the way of Allah, kill, and are killed. A promise binding upon Him in the Torah and the Evangel and the Quran. And who is truer to his promise than Allah? So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him, and that is the great success.
9:112
التَّائِبُونَ الْعَابِدُونَ الْحَامِدُونَ السَّائِحُونَ الرَّاكِعُونَ السَّاجِدُونَ الْآمِرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّاهُونَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَالْحَافِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*(Kwa) wanao tubia, wanao abudu, wanao himidi, wanao kimbilia kheri, wanao rukuu, wanao sujudu, wanao amrisha mema na wanao kataza maovu, na wanao linda mipaka ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wabashirie Waumini.
*[The faithful are] penitent, devout, celebrators of Allah’s praise, wayfarers, who bow [and] prostrate [in prayer], bid what is right and forbid what is wrong, and keep Allah’s bounds—and give good news to the faithful.
9:113
مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَىٰ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ
*Haimpasii Nabii na wale walio amini kuwatakia msamaha washirikina, ijapo kuwa ni jamaa zao, baada ya kwisha bainika kuwa hao ni watu wa Motoni.
*The Prophet and the faithful may not plead for the forgiveness of the polytheists, even if they should be [their] relatives, after it has become clear to them that they will be the inmates of hell.
9:114
وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَنْ مَوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَأَوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ
*Wala haikuwa Ibrahim kumtakia msamaha baba yake ila kwa sababu wa ahadi aliyo fanya naye. Lakini ilipo mbainikia kwamba yeye ni adui ya Mwenyezi Mungu, alijiepusha naye. Hakika Ibrahim alikuwa mwingi wa kuomba, mnyenyekevu, mvumilivu.
*Abraham’s pleading forgiveness for his father was only to fulfill a promise he had made him. So when it became manifest to him that he was an enemy of God, he repudiated him. Indeed Abraham was most plaintive and forbearing.
9:115
وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَاهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ مَا يَتَّقُونَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
*Na haiwi kwa Mwenyezi Mungu kuwahisabu watu kuwa wamepotea baada ya kwisha waongoza mpaka awabainishie ya kujiepusha nayo. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua kila kitu.
*Allah does not lead any people astray after He has guided them until He has made clear to them what they should beware of. Indeed Allah has knowledge of all things.
9:116
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۚ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
*Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anao ufalme wa mbingu na ardhi; huhuisha na hufisha. Nanyi hamna Mlinzi wala Msaidizi isipo kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*Indeed to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and brings death. And besides Allah you do not have any guardian or helper.
9:117
لَقَدْ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ فِي سَاعَةِ الْعُسْرَةِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Mwenyezi Mungu amekwisha pokea toba ya Nabii na Wahajiri na Ansari walio mfuata katika saa ya dhiki, pale baada ya kukaribia nyoyo za baadhi yao kugeuka. Basi akapokea toba yao, kwani hakika Yeye kwao wao ni Mpole na ni Mwenye kuwarehemu.
*Certainly Allah turned clemently to the Prophet and the Emigrants and the Helpers, who followed him in the hour of difficulty, after the hearts of a part of them were about to swerve. Then He turned clemently to them—indeed, He is most kind and merciful to them
9:118
وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنْ لَا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
*Na pia wale watatu walio achwa nyuma hata dunia wakaiona dhiki juu ya ukunjufu wake, na nafsi zao zikabanika, na wakayakinika kuwa hapana pa kumkimbia Mwenyezi Mungu isipo kuwa kwake Yeye. Kisha akawaelekea kwa rehema yake ili nao waendelee kutubu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mwenye kupokea toba na Mwenye kurehemu.
*—and to the three who were left behind. When the earth became narrow for them with [all] its expanse, and their own souls weighed heavily on them, and they knew that there was no refuge from Allah except in Him, then He turned clemently toward them so that they might be penitent. Indeed Allah is the All-clement, the All-merciful.
9:119
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na kuweni pamoja na wakweli.
*O you who have faith! Be wary of Allah, and be with the Truthful.
9:120
مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَطَئُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَيْلًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
*Haiwafalii watu wa Madina na Mabedui walio jirani zao kubakia nyuma wasitoke na Mtume, wala kujipendelea nafsi zao kuliko yeye. Hayo ni kwa kuwa hakiwapati kiu, wala machofu, wala njaa, kwa ajili ya Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wala hawendi mahali panapo waghadhibisha makafiri, wala hakiwapati chochote kutokana na maadui, ila huandikiwa kuwa ni kitendo chema. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu haupotezi ujira wa wanao fanya mema.
*It is not fitting for the people of Madinah and the Bedouins around them to hang back behind the Apostle of Allah and prefer their own lives to his life. That is because they neither experience any thirst, nor fatigue, nor hunger, in the way of Allah, nor do they tread any ground enraging the faithless, nor do they gain any ground against an enemy but a righteous deed is written for them on its account. Indeed Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous.
9:121
وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Wala hawatoi cha kutoa kidogo wala kikubwa, wala hawalivuki bonde, ila huandikiwa, ili Mwenyezi Mungu awalipe bora ya waliyo kuwa wakiya- tenda.
*And neither do they incur any expense, big or small, nor do they cross any valley, but it is written to their account, so that Allah may reward them by the best of what they used to do.
9:122
وَمَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً ۚ فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ لِيَتَفَقَّهُوا فِي الدِّينِ وَلِيُنْذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
*Wala haiwafalii Waumini kutoka wote. Lakini kwa nini hawatoki baadhi katika kila kundi miongoni mwao, wakajifunze vyema Dini, na kisha waje kuwaonya wenzao watakapo warejea, ili wapate kujihadharisha?
*Yet it is not for the faithful to go forth en masse. But why should not there a group from each of their sections go forth to become learned in religion, and to warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware?
9:123
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Piganeni na wale makafiri walio karibu yenu, na wakute ugumu kwenu. Na jueni ya kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja na wacha- Mngu.
*O you who have faith! Fight the faithless who are in your vicinity, and let them find severity in you, and know that Allah is with the Godwary.
9:124
وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَٰذِهِ إِيمَانًا ۚ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
*Na inapo teremshwa Sura wapo miongoni mwao wasemao: Ni nani miongoni mwenu Sura hii imemzidishia Imani? Ama wale walio amini inawazidishia Imani, nao wanafurahi.
*Whenever a surah is sent down, there are some of them who say, ‘Which of you did it increase in faith?’ As for those who have faith, it increases them in faith, and they rejoice.
9:125
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا إِلَىٰ رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ
*Ama wale wenye maradhi katika nyoyo zao, basi inawazidishia uovu juu ya uovu wao; na wanakufa hali ni makafiri.
*But as for those in whose heart is a sickness, it only adds defilement to their defilement, and they die while they are faithless.
9:126
أَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
*Je! Hawaoni ya kwamba wanatiwa mtihanini kila mwaka mara moja au mara mbili? Kisha hawatubu, wala hawakumbuki.
*Do they not see that they are tried once or twice every year? Yet they neither repent, nor do they take admonition.
9:127
وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا ۚ صَرَفَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
*Na ikiteremka Sura hutazamana wao kwa wao, (kama kwamba wanasema:) Je! Yuko mtu anakuoneni? Kisha hugeukilia mbali. Mwenyezi amezigeuza nyoyo zao kwa kuwa hao ni watu wasio fahamu.
*Whenever a surah is sent down they look at one another: ‘Is anybody observing you?’ Then they slip away. Allah has turned aside their hearts, for they are a people who do not understand.
9:128
لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Hakika amekwisha kujieni Mtume kutokana na nyinyi wenyewe; yanamhuzunisha yanayo kutaabisheni; anakuhangaikieni sana. Kwa Waumini ni mpole na mwenye huruma.
*There has certainly come to you an apostle from among yourselves. Grievous to him is your distress; he has deep concern for you, and is most kind and merciful to the faithful.
9:129
فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Basi wakigeuka, wewe sema: Mwenyezi Mungu ananitosheleza. Hapana mungu isipokuwa Yeye tu. Mimi namtegemea Yeye, na Yeye ndiye Mola Mlezi wa Kiti Kikuu cha Enzi.
*But if they turn their backs [on you], say, ‘Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except Him. In Him I have put my trust and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.’
