Sura 8 - Al-Anfaal

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
8:1
يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَنْفَالِ ۖ قُلِ الْأَنْفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ ۖ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
*Wanakuuliza juu ya Ngawira. Sema: Ngawira ni ya Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume. Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu na suluhisheni mambo baina yenu, na mt´iini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake ikiwa nyinyi ni Waumini.
*They ask you concerning the anfāl. Say, ‘The anfāl belong to God and the Apostle.’ So be wary of God and settle your differences, and obey God and His Apostle, if you are faithful.
8:2
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
*Hakika Waumini ni wale ambao anapo tajwa Mwenyezi Mungu nyoyo zao hujaa khofu, na wanapo somewa Aya zake huwazidisha Imani, na wakamtegemea Mola wao Mlezi.
*The faithful are only those whose hearts tremble with awe when God is mentioned, and when His signs are recited to them, they increase their faith, and who put their trust in their Lord,
8:3
الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
*Hao ambao wanashika Sala na wanatoa katika yale tunayo waruzuku.
*maintain the prayer and spend out of what We have provided them.
8:4
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
*Hao kweli ndio Waumini. Wao wana vyeo, na maghfira, na riziki bora, kwa Mola wao Mlezi.
*It is they who are truly faithful. They shall have ranks near their Lord, forgiveness and a noble provision.
8:5
كَمَا أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَارِهُونَ
*Kama Mola wako Mlezi alivyo kutoa nyumbani kwako kwa Haki, na hakika kundi moja la Waumini linachukia.
*As your Lord brought you out from your home with a judicious purpose, a part of the faithful were indeed reluctant.
8:6
يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَمَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
*Wanajadiliana nawe kwa jambo la Haki baada ya kwisha bainika, kama kwamba wanasukumwa kwenye mauti nao wanaona.
*They disputed with you concerning the truth after it had become clear, as if they were being driven towards death while they looked on.
8:7
وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللَّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu alipo kuahidini kuwa moja katika makundi mawili ni lenu. Nanyi mkapenda lisilo na nguvu ndio liwe lenu; na Mwenyezi Mungu anapenda ahakikishe Haki kwa maneno yake, na aikate mizizi ya makafiri.
*When God promised you victory over one of the two companies, [saying], ‘It is for you,’ you were eager that it should be the one that was unarmed. But God desires to confirm the truth with His words and to root out the faithless,
8:8
لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
*Ili ahakikishe Haki na auvunje upotovu na wangachukia wakosefu.
*so that He may confirm the truth and bring falsehood to naught, though the guilty should be averse.
8:9
إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُمْ بِأَلْفٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ
*Mlipo kuwa mkimuomba msaada Mola wenu Mlezi, naye akakujibuni kuwa: Kwa yakini Mimi nitakusaidieni kwa Malaika elfu wanao fuatana mfululizo.
*When you appealed to your Lord for help, He answered you: ‘I will aid you with a thousand angels in a file.’
8:10
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu hakufanya haya ila kuwa ni bishara na ili nyoyo zenu zituwe. Na haupatikani ushindi ila kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu, na Mwenye hikima.
*God did not appoint it but as a good news, and to reassure your hearts. Victory comes only from God. God is indeed all-mighty, all-wise.
8:11
إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ النُّعَاسَ أَمَنَةً مِنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ بِهِ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الْأَقْدَامَ
*Alipo kufunikeni kwa usingizi uwe ni uaminisho kutoka kwake, na akakuteremshieni maji kutoka mbinguni ili kukusafisheni kwayo na kukuondoleeni uchafu wa Shet´ani, na kuzipa nguvu nyoyo zenu, na kuitia imara miguu yenu.
*When He covered you with drowsiness as a sense of security from Him, and sent down water from the sky to purify you with it, and to repel from you the defilement of Satan, and to fortify your hearts, and to make your feet steady with it.
8:12
إِذْ يُوحِي رَبُّكَ إِلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ أَنِّي مَعَكُمْ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ سَأُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الْأَعْنَاقِ وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ
*Mola wako Mlezi alipo wafunulia Malaika: Hakika Mimi ni pamoja nanyi, basi watieni nguvu walio amini. Nitatia woga katika nyoyo za walio kufuru. Basi wapigeni juu ya shingo na wapigeni kwenye kila ncha za vidole.
*Then your Lord signalled to the angels: ‘I am indeed with you; so steady the faithful. I will cast terror into the hearts of the faithless. So strike their necks, and strike their every limb joint!’
8:13
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَاقُّوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu wamemuasi Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake. Na mwenye kumuasi Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake basi Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkali wa kuadhibu.
*That, because they defied God and His Apostle. And whoever defies God and His Apostle, God is indeed severe in retribution.
8:14
ذَٰلِكُمْ فَذُوقُوهُ وَأَنَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ
*Ndio hivyo! Basi ionjeni! Na bila ya shaka makafiri wana adhabu ya Moto.
*‘Taste this, and know that for the faithless is the punishment of the Fire.’
8:15
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا زَحْفًا فَلَا تُوَلُّوهُمُ الْأَدْبَارَ
*Enyi Mlio amini! Mkikutana na walio kufuru vitani msiwageuzie mgongo.
*O you who have faith! When you encounter the faithless advancing for battle, do not turn your backs to flee from them.
8:16
وَمَنْ يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُ إِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا إِلَىٰ فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
*Na atakaye wageuzia mgongo wake siku hiyo - isipo kuwa kwa mbinu za vita au kuungana na kikosi - basi atakuwa amestahiki ghadhabu ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na pahala pake ni Jahannamu, na huo ni mwisho muovu.
*Whoever turns his back to flee from them that day —unless he is diverting to fight or retiring towards another troop— he shall certainly earn God’s wrath, and his refuge shall be hell, an evil destination.
8:17
فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ ۚ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَىٰ ۚ وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلَاءً حَسَنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
*Hamkuwauwa nyinyi lakini Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye wauwa. Na wewe hukutupa, walakini Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye tupa, ili awajaribu Waumini majaribio mema yatokayo kwake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Msikizi na Mjuzi.
*You did not kill them; rather it was God who killed them; and you did not throw when you threw, rather it was God who threw, that He might test the faithful with a good test from Himself. God is indeed all-hearing, all-knowing.
8:18
ذَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكَافِرِينَ
*Ndio hivyo! Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kudhoofisha vitimbi vya makafiri.
*Such is the case, and know that God undermines the stratagems of the faithless.
8:19
إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ ۖ وَإِنْ تَنْتَهُوا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ تَعُودُوا نَعُدْ وَلَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Kama mnataka hukumu basi hukumu imekwisha kujieni. Na mkiacha itakuwa ndio kheri kwenu. Na mkirejea Sisi pia tutarejea. Na jeshi lenu halitakufaeni kitu, japo likiwa kubwa. Kwani hakika Mwenyezi yu pamoja na Waumini.
*If you sought a verdict, the verdict has already come to you; and if you cease your belligerence, it is better for you; but if you resume, We too shall return and your troops will never avail you though they should be ever so many, and know that God is with the faithful.
8:20
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mt´iini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, wala msijiepushe naye, nanyi mnasikia.
*O you who have faith! Obey God and His Apostle, and do not turn away from him while you hear him.
8:21
وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
*Wala msiwe kama wale wanao sema: Tumesikia, na kumbe hawasikii.
*Do not be like those who say, ‘We hear,’ though they do not hear.
8:22
إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
*Hakika vinyama viovu mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu ni vile viziwi na bubu visio tumia akili zao.
*Indeed, the worst of beasts in God’s sight are the deaf and dumb who do not exercise reason.
8:23
وَلَوْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا لَأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ أَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu angeli jua wema wowote kwao ange wasikilizisha, na lau ange wasikilizisha wangeli geuka wakapuuza.
*Had God known any good in them, He would have surely made them hear, and were He to make them hear, they would turn away, being disregardful.
8:24
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Muitikieni Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume anapo kuitieni jambo la kukupeni uzima wa milele. Na jueni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu huingia kati ya mtu na moyo wake, na kwamba hakika kwake Yeye tu mtakusanywa.
*O you who have faith! Answer God and the Apostle when he summons you to that which will give you life. Know that God intervenes between a man and his heart and that you will be gathered toward Him.
8:25
وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لَا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْكُمْ خَاصَّةً ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
*Na jikingeni na Fitna ambayo haitowasibu walio dhulumu peke yao kati yenu. Na jueni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkali wa kuadhibu.
*And beware of a punishment which shall not visit the wrongdoers among you exclusively, and know that God is severe in retribution.
8:26
وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
*Na kumbukeni mlipo kuwa wachache, mkionekana wanyonge katika nchi, mnaogopa watu wasikunyakueni, naye akakupeni pahala pazuri pa kukaa, na akakutieni nguvu kwa nusura yake, na akakupeni riziki nzuri ili mpate kushukuru.
*Remember when you were few, abased in the land, and feared lest the people should despoil you, and He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and provided you with all the good things so that you may give thanks.
8:27
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Msimfanyie khiana Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, wala msikhini amana zenu, nanyi mnajua.
*O you who have faith! Do not betray God and the Apostle, and do not betray your trusts knowingly.
8:28
وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
*Na jueni ya kwamba mali zenu na wana wenu ni Fitna (mtihani), na kwamba kwa Mwenyezi Mungu upo ujira mkubwa.
*Know that your possessions and children are only a test, and that God—with Him is a great reward.
8:29
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mkimcha Mwenyezi Mungu atakupeni kipambanuo, na atakufutieni makosa, na atakusameheni, na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye fadhila kubwa.
*O you who have faith! If you are wary of God, He will appoint a criterion for you, and absolve you of your misdeeds and forgive you, for God is dispenser of a mighty grace.
8:30
وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ ۚ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
*Na walipo kupangia mpango walio kufuru wakufunge, au wakuuwe, au wakutoe. Wakapanga mipango yao, na Mwenyezi Mungu akapanga yake. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye mbora wa mipango.
*When the faithless plotted against you to take you captive, or to kill or expel you —they plotted and God devised, and God is the best of devisers.
8:31
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا قَالُوا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ۙ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Na wanapo somewa Aya zetu, wao husema: Tumesikia. Na lau tungeli penda tunge sema kama haya. Haya si chochote ila hadithi za watu wa kale tu.
*When Our signs are recited to them, they say, ‘We have heard already. If we want, we too can say like this. These are nothing but myths of the ancients.’
8:32
وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
*Na walipo sema: Ee Mwenyezi Mungu! Ikiwa haya ni kweli itokayo kwako basi tunyeshee mawe kutoka mbinguni, au tuletee adhabu yoyote iliyo chungu.
*And when they said, ‘O God, if this be the truth from You, rain down upon us stones from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment.’
8:33
وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu hakuwa wa kuwaadhibu nawe umo pamoja nao, wala Mwenyezi Mungu si wa kuwaadhibu na hali ya kuwa wanaomba msamaha.
*But God will not punish them while you are in their midst, nor will God punish them while they plead for forgiveness.
8:34
وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
*Lakini wana jambo gani hata Mwenyezi Mungu asiwaadhibu, na hali ya kuwa wanawazuilia watu Msikiti Mtakatifu? Wala wao hawakuwa ndio walinzi wake, bali walinzi wake hawakuwa ila wacha-Mngu tu. Lakini wengi katika wao hawajui.
*What excuse have they that God should not punish them, when they bar the faithful from the Holy Mosque, and they are not its custodians? Its custodians are only the Godwary, but most of them do not know.
8:35
وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَاءً وَتَصْدِيَةً ۚ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
*Na haikuwa ibada yao kwenye hiyo Nyumba (Al Kaaba) ila ni kupiga miunzi na makofi. Basi onjeni adhabu kwa vile mlivyo kuwa mkikufuru.
*Their prayer at the House is nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment because of what you used to deny.
8:36
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ
*Hakika wale walio kufuru hutoa mali yao ili kuzuilia Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi watayatoa, kisha yatakuwa juu yao majuto, na kisha watashindwa. Na wale walio kufuru watakusanywa kwenye Jahannam.
*Indeed, the faithless spend their wealth to bar from the way of God. Soon they will have spent it, then it will be a cause of regret to them, then they will be overcome, and the faithless will be gathered toward Hell,
8:37
لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
*Ili Mwenyezi Mungu apate kuwa pambanua walio waovu na walio wema, na kuwaweka waovu juu ya waovu wengine, na kuwarundika wote pamoja, na kuwatupa katika Jahannam. Hao ndio walio khasirika.
*so that God may separate the bad ones from the good, and place the bad on one another and pile them up together, and cast them into hell. It is they who are the losers.
8:38
قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنْتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Waambie wale walio kufuru: Wakikoma watasamehewa yaliyo kwisha pita. Na wakiyarudia basi imekwisha pita mifano ya wa zamani.
*Say to the faithless, if they cease [their belligerence against the Muslims], what is already past shall be forgiven them. But if they resume their hostilities, the precedent of the former peoples has already come to pass.
8:39
وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
*Na piganeni nao mpaka isiwepo fitna na mateso, na Dini yote iwe kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Lakini wakiacha, basi hakika Mwenyezi Mungu anayaona wanayo yatenda.
*Fight them until persecution is no more, and religion becomes exclusively for God. So if they desist, God indeed watches what they do.
8:40
وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ
*Na kama wakigeuka basi jueni kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mola wenu, ni Mola Mwema na Msaidizi Mwema.
*But if they turn away, then know that God is your Master: an excellent master and an excellent helper!
8:41
وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
*NA JUENI ya kwamba ngawira mnayo ipata, basi khums (sehemu moja katika tano) ni kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, na jamaa, na mayatima, na masikini, na wasafiri, ikiwa nyinyi mmemuamini Mwenyezi Mungu na tuliyo yateremsha kwa mja wetu siku ya kipambanuo, siku yalipo kutana majeshi mawili. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Muweza wa kila kitu.
*Know that whatever thing you may come by, a fifth of it is for God and the Apostle, for the relatives and the orphans, for the needy and the traveler, if you have faith in God and what We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Separation, the day when the two hosts met; and God has power over all things.
8:42
إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَىٰ وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدْتُمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ ۙ وَلَٰكِنْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا لِيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَىٰ مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
*Kumbukeni pale mlipo kuwa nyinyi kwenye ng´ambo ya karibu ya bonde, na wao wakawa ng´ambo ya mbali, na msafara ulipo kuwa chini yenu. Na ingeli kuwa mmeagana mngeli khitalifiana katika miadi. Lakini (mkakutana) ili Mwenyezi Mungu atimize jambo lilio kuwa lazima litendeke, kwa sababu aangamie wa kuangamia kwa dalili zilizo dhaahiri, na asalimike wa kusalimika kwa dalili zilizo dhaahiri. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
*When you were on the nearer side, and they on the farther side, while the caravan was below you, and had you agreed together on an encounter, you would have certainly failed to keep the tryst, but it was in order that God may carry through a matter that was bound to be fulfilled, so that he who perishes might perish by a clear proof, and he who lives may live on by a clear proof, and God is indeed all-hearing, all-knowing.
8:43
إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلًا ۖ وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيرًا لَفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَلَّمَ ۗ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
*Kumbuka alipo kuonyesha usingizini mwako kwamba wao ni wachache - na lau angeli kuonyesha kuwa ni wengi, mngeli ingiwa na woga, na mngeli zozana katika jambo hilo. Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu kakuvueni. Hakika Yeye ni Mwenye kuyajua yalio vifuani.
*When God showed them to you as few in your dream, and had He shown them as many, you would have lost heart, and disputed about the matter. But God spared you. He knows well indeed what is in the breasts.
8:44
وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلًا وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ
*Na mlipo kutana akakuonyesheni machoni mwenu kuwa wao ni wachache, na akakufanyeni nyinyi ni wachache machoni mwao, ili Mwenyezi Mungu atimize jambo lilio kuwa liwe. Na mambo yote hurejezwa kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
*And when He showed them to you —when you met them on the battlefield— as few in your eyes, and He made you appear few in their eyes it was in order that God may carry through a matter that was bound to be fulfilled, and to God all matters are returned.
8:45
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَةً فَاثْبُتُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
*Enyi mlio amini! Mkikutana na jeshi, basi kueni imara, na mkumbukeni Mwenyezi Mungu sana ili mpate kufanikiwa.
*O you who have faith! When you meet a host in battle, stand firm and remember God much so that you may prosper.
8:46
وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ ۖ وَاصْبِرُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
*Na mt´iini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake, wala msizozane mkaingiwa woga, na zikapotea nguvu zenu. Na subirini. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja na wanao subiri.
*Obey God and His Apostle and do not dispute, or you will lose heart and your power will be gone. And be patient; indeed God is with the patient.
8:47
وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بَطَرًا وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ
*Wala msiwe kama wale walio toka majumbani mwao kwa fakhari na kujionyesha kwa watu, na wakawazuilia watu Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ameyazunguka yote wanayo yafanya.
*Do not be like those who left their homes vainly and to show off to the people, and to bar other people from the way of God, and God encompasses what they do.
8:48
وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٌ لَكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
*Na pale Shet´ani alipo wapambia vitendo vyao, na akawaambia: Hapana watu wa kukushindeni hii leo, na hali mimi ni mlinzi wenu. Yalipo onana majeshi mawili, akarudi nyuma, na akasema: Mimi si pamoja nanyi. Mimi naona msiyo yaona. Mimi namwogopa Mwenyezi Mungu, na Mwenyezi Mungu ni mkali wa kuadhibu.
*When Satan made their deeds seem decorous to them, and said [to the faithless], ‘None will defeat you today from among those people, and I will stand by you.’ But when the two hosts sighted each other, he took to his heels, saying, ‘Indeed, I am quit of you. I see what you do not see. Indeed, I fear God and God is severe in retribution.’
8:49
إِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ غَرَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ دِينُهُمْ ۗ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na walipo sema wanaafiki, na wale wenye ugonjwa nyoyoni mwao: Watu hawa dini yao imewadanganya. Na Mwenye kumtegemea Mwenyezi Mungu basi hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu Ametukuka, na Mwenye hikima.
*When the hypocrites said, and also those in whose hearts is a sickness, ‘Their religion has deceived them.’ But whoever puts his trust in God, then God is indeed all-mighty, all-wise.
8:50
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۙ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ
*Na laiti ungeli ona Malaika wanapo wafisha wale walio kufuru wakiwapiga nyuso zao na migongo yao, na kuwaambia: Ionjeni adhabu ya Moto!
*Were you to see when the angels take away the faithless, striking their faces and their backs, [saying], ‘Taste the punishment of the burning.
8:51
ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu ya yale yaliyo kwisha tangulizwa na mikono yenu, na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu si mwenye kuwadhulumu waja.
*That is because of what your hands have sent ahead, and God is not tyrannical to His servants.’
8:52
كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
*Kama ada ya watu wa Firauni na walio kuwa kabla yao - walizikataa Ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi Mwenyezi Mungu aliwashika kwa sababu ya madhambi yao. Na hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye nguvu na mkali wa kuadhibu.
*Like the precedent of Pharaoh’s clan and those who were before them, who denied God’s signs, so God seized them for their sins. God is indeed all-strong, severe in retribution.
8:53
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
*Hayo ni kwa sababu Mwenyezi Mungu habadilishi kabisa neema alizo waneemesha watu, mpaka wao wabadilishe yaliyomo ndani ya nafsi zao. Na hakika Mwwnyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusikia, Mwenye kujua.
*That is because God never changes a blessing that He has bestowed on a people unless they change what is in their own souls, and God is all-hearing, all-knowing:
8:54
كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ
*Ni kama ada ya watu wa Firauni na walio kabla yao - walizikanusha Ishara za Mola wao Mlezi, basi tukawateketeza kwa madhambi yao. Na tukawazamisha watu wa Firauni. Na wote walikuwa wenye kudhulumu.
*Like the precedent of Pharaoh’s clan and those who were before them, who impugned the signs of their Lord; so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned Pharaoh’s clan, and they were all wrongdoers.
8:55
إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
*Hakika vinyama vilio viovu kabisa mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu ni wale wanao kufuru, basi hao hawaamini;
*Indeed, the worst of beasts in God’s sight are those who are faithless; so they will not have faith.
8:56
الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتَ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنْقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِي كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُونَ
*Wale ambao miongoni mwao umepatana nao ahadi, kisha wanavunja ahadi yao kila mara, wala hawamchi Mungu.
*—Those with whom you made a treaty and who violated their treaty every time, and who are not Godwary.
8:57
فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
*Basi ukiwakuta vitani wakimbize walio nyuma yao ili wapate kukumbuka.
*So if you confront them in battle, treat them in such a wise as to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may take admonition.
8:58
وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنْ قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَانْبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَاءٍ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْخَائِنِينَ
*Na ukichelea khiana kwa watu fulani basi watupilie ahadi yao kwa usawa. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu hawapendi makhaini.
*And if you fear treachery from a people, break off the treaty with them in a like manner. Indeed, God does not like the treacherous.
8:59
وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَبَقُوا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُونَ
*Wala wasidhanie wale walio kufuru kwamba wao wametangulia mbele. La, wao hawatashinda.
*Let the faithless not suppose that they have outmaneuvered God. Indeed, they cannot frustrate His power.
8:60
وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ
*Basi waandalieni nguvu kama muwezavyo, na kwa farasi walio fungwa tayari-tayari, ili kuwatishia maadui wa Mwenyezi Mungu na maadui zenu, na wengineo ambao hamwajui, lakini Mwenyezi Mungu anawajua. Na mkitoa chochote katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu mtarudishiwa, na wala nyinyi hamtadhulumiwa.
*Prepare against them whatever you can of military power and war-horses, awing thereby the enemy of God, and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you do not know, but God knows them. And whatever you spend in the way of God will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged.
8:61
وَإِنْ جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
*Na wakielekea amani nawe pia elekea, na mtegemee Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Yeye ndiye Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
*If they incline toward peace, you too incline toward it and put your trust in God. Indeed, He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.
8:62
وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Na wakitaka kukukhadaa basi Mwenyezi Mungu atakutosheleza. Kwani Yeye ndiye aliye kuunga mkono kwa nusura yake na kwa Waumini.
*But if they desire to deceive you, God is indeed sufficient for you. It is He who strengthened you with His help and with the means of the faithful,
8:63
وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ لَوْ أَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Na akaziunga nyoyo zao. Na lau wewe ungeli toa vyote viliomo duniani usingeli weza kuziunga nyoyo zao, lakini Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye waunganisha. Hakika Yeye ndiye Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye hikima.
*and united their hearts. Had you spent all wealth that is on the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but God united them together. He is indeed all-mighty, all-wise.
8:64
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللَّهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Ewe Nabii! Mwenyezi Mungu anakutoshelezea wewe na Waumini walio kufuata.
*O Prophet! Sufficient for you is God and those of the faithful who follow you.
8:65
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ ۚ إِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفًا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
*Ewe Nabii! Wahimize Waumini wende vitani. Wakiwapo kati yenu ishirini wanao subiri watawashinda mia mbili. Na wakiwapo kati yenu mia watawashinda elfu moja katika walio kufuru. Kwa sababu wao ni watu wasio fahamu.
*O Prophet! Urge on the faithful to fight: If there be twenty steadfast men among you, they will overcome two hundred; and if there be a hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of the faithless, for they are a lot who do not understand.
8:66
الْآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا ۚ فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
*Sasa Mwenyezi Mungu amekupunguzieni, na anajua kuwa upo udhaifu kwenu. Kwa hivyo wakiwa wapo watu mia moja kati yenu wenye kusubiri watawashinda mia mbili. Na wakiwapo elfu moja watawashinda elfu mbili, kwa idhini ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu yu pamoja na wenye kusubiri.
*Now God has lightened your burden, knowing that there is weakness in you. So if there be a hundred steadfast men among you, they will overcome two hundred; and if there be a thousand, they will overcome two thousand, by God’s leave, and God is with the steadfast.
8:67
مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Haimfalii Nabii yeyote kuwa na mateka mpaka awe ameshinda baraabara katika nchi. Mnataka vitu vya dunia, na Mwenyezi Mungu anataka Akhera. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu Mwenye hikima.
*A prophet may not take captives until he has thoroughly decimated the enemy in the land. You desire the transitory gains of this world, while God desires for you the reward of the Hereafter, and God is all-mighty, all-wise.
8:68
لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
*Lau isingeli kuwa hukumu iliyo kwisha tangulia kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ingeli kupateni adhabu kubwa kwa vile mlivyo chukua.
*Had it not been for a prior decree of God, there would have surely befallen you a great punishment for what you took.
8:69
فَكُلُوا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Basi kuleni katika mlivyo teka, ni halali na vizuri, na mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe na Mwenye kurehemu.
*Avail yourselves of the spoils you have taken, as lawful and good, and be wary of God. God is indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.
8:70
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِمَنْ فِي أَيْدِيكُمْ مِنَ الْأَسْرَىٰ إِنْ يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِمَّا أُخِذَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Ewe Nabii! Waambie mateka waliomo mikononi mwenu: Kama Mwenyezi akiona kheri yoyote nyoyoni mwenu atakupeni bora kuliko vilivyo chukuliwa kwenu, na atakusameheni. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*O Prophet! Say to the captives who are in your hands, ‘If God finds any good in your hearts, He will give you something which is better than what has been taken away from you, and He will forgive you, and God is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’
8:71
وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
*Ikiwa wanataka kukufanyia khiana, wao walikwisha mfanyia khiana Mwenyezi Mungu kabla yake, na Yeye akakuwezesha kuwashinda. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua Mwenye hikima.
*But if they seek to betray you, then they have already betrayed God earlier, and He gave you power over them, and God is all-knowing, all-wise.
8:72
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوْا وَنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوا مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ وَلَايَتِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا ۚ وَإِنِ اسْتَنْصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
*Hakika wale walio amini na wakahama na wakapigania Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa mali yao na nafsi zao, na wale walio toa mahala pa kukaa, na wakanusuru, hao ni marafiki na walinzi wao kwa wao. Na wale walio amini lakini hawakuhama, nyinyi hamna waajibu wa ulinzi kwao hata kidogo mpaka wahame. Lakini wakiomba msaada kwenu katika Dini, basi ni juu yenu kuwasaidia, isipo kuwa juu ya watu ambao yapo mapatano baina yenu na wao. Na Mwenyezi Mungu anayaona mnayo yatenda.
*Indeed, those who have believed and migrated and waged jihād with their possessions and persons in the way of God, and those who gave them shelter and help —they are heirs of one another. As for those who have believed but did not migrate, you have no heirship in relation to them whatsoever until they migrate. Yet if they ask your help for the sake of religion, it is incumbent on you to help them, excepting against a people with whom you have a treaty, and God watches what you do.
8:73
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ
*Na wale walio kufuru ni marafiki wenyewe kwa wenyewe. Msipo fanya hivi itakuwako fitna katika nchi na fisadi kubwa.
*As for the faithless, they are allies of one another. Unless you do the same, there will be strife in the land and great corruption.
8:74
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوْا وَنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
*Na walio amini wakahama na wakapigana Jihadi katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na walio toa mahala pa kukaa na wakanusuru, hao ndio Waumini wa kweli. Watapata msamaha wa Mwenyezi Mungu na kuruzukiwa kwema.
*Those who have believed, migrated, and waged jihād in the way of God, and those who gave them shelter and help, it is they who are truly faithful. For them shall be forgiveness and a noble provision.
8:75
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا مَعَكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
*Na watakao amini baadaye na wakahajiri, na wakapigana Jihadi pamoja nanyi, basi hao ni katika nyinyi. Na jamaa wa nasaba wanastahikiana wenyewe kwa wenyewe zaidi katika Kitabu cha Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kujua kila kitu.
*Those who believed afterwards, and migrated and waged jihād along with you, they belong with you; but the blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another in the Book of God. Indeed, God has knowledge of all things.
