Sura 89 - Al-Fajr

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
89:1
وَالْفَجْرِ
*Naapa kwa alfajiri,
*By the Dawn,
89:2
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ
*Na kwa masiku kumi,
*by the ten nights,
89:3
وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ
*Na kwa viwili viwili na kimoja kimoja,
*by the Even and the Odd,
89:4
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ
*Na kwa usiku unapo pita,
*by the night when it departs!
89:5
هَلْ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِذِي حِجْرٍ
*Je! Hapana katika haya kiapo kwa mwenye akili?
*Is there an oath in that for one possessing intellect?
89:6
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ
*Kwani hukuona jinsi Mola wako Mlezi alivyo wafanya kina A´di?
*Have you not regarded how your Lord dealt with [the people of] ‘Ad,
89:7
إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ
*Wa Iram, wenye majumba marefu?
*[and] Iram, [the city] of the pillars,
89:8
الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ
*Ambao haukuumbwa mfano wake katika nchi?
*the like of which was not created among cities,
89:9
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ
*Na Thamudi walio chonga majabali huko bondeni?
*and [the people of] Thamud, who hollowed out the rocks in the valley,
89:10
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الْأَوْتَادِ
*Na Firauni mwenye vigingi?
*and Pharaoh, the impaler
89:11
الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلَادِ
*Ambao walifanya jeuri katika nchi?
*—those who rebelled [against Allah] in their cities
89:12
فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ
*Wakakithirisha humo ufisadi?
*and caused much corruption in them,
89:13
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ
*Basi Mola wako Mlezi aliwapiga mjeledi wa adhabu.
*so your Lord poured on them lashes of punishment.
89:14
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ
*Hakika Mola wako Mlezi yupo kwenye mavizio anawavizia.
*Indeed your Lord is in ambush.
89:15
فَأَمَّا الْإِنْسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ
*Ama mtu anapo jaribiwa na Mola wake Mlezi, akamkirimu na akamneemesha, husema: Mola wangu Mlezi amenikirimu!
*As for man, whenever his Lord tests him, and grants him honour, and blesses him, he says, ‘My Lord has honoured me.’
89:16
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ
*Na ama anapo mjaribu akampunguzia riziki yake, husema: Mola wangu Mlezi amenitia unyonge!
*But when He tests him and tightens for him his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’
89:17
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ لَا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ
*Sivyo hivyo! Bali nyinyi hamuwakirimu mayatima,
*No indeed! No, you do not honour the orphan,
89:18
وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
*Wala hamhimizani kulisha masikini;
*and do not urge the feeding of the needy.
89:19
وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلًا لَمًّا
*Na mnakula urithi kwa ulaji wa pupa,
*You eat the inheritance rapaciously,
89:20
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا
*Na mnapenda mali pendo la kupita kiasi.
*and love wealth with much fondness.
89:21
كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا
*Sivyo hivyo! Itakapo vunjwa ardhi vipande vipande,
*No indeed! When the earth is levelled to a plain,
89:22
وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا
*Na akaja Mola wako Mlezi na Malaika safu safu,
*and your Lord [’s edict] arrives with the angels in ranks,
89:23
وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنْسَانُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ
*Na ikaletwa Jahannamu siku hiyo, siku hiyo mtu atakumbuka! Lakini kukumbuka huko kutamfaa nini?
*the day when hell is brought [near], man will take admonition on that day, but what will that admonition avail him?
89:24
يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي
*Atasema: Laiti ningeli jitangulizia kwa uhai wangu!
*He will say, ‘Alas, had I sent ahead for my life [in the Hereafter]!’
89:25
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ
*Basi siku hiyo hataadhibu yeyote namna ya kuadhibu kwake.
*On that day none shall punish as He punishes,
89:26
وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ
*Wala hatafunga yeyote kama kufunga kwake.
*and none shall bind as He binds.
89:27
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ
*Ewe nafsi iliyo tua!
*‘O soul at peace!
89:28
ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً
*Rejea kwa Mola wako Mlezi umeridhika, na umemridhisha.
*Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing!
89:29
فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي
*Basi ingia miongoni mwa waja wangu,
*Then enter among My servants,
89:30
وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي
*Na ingia katika Pepo yangu.
*and enter My paradise!’
