Sura 83 - Al-Mutaffifin

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
83:1
وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
*Ole wao hao wapunjao!
*Woe to the defrauders, who use short measures,
83:2
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
*Ambao wanapo jipimia kwa watu hudai watimiziwe.
*who, when they measure [a commodity bought] from the people, take the full measure,
83:3
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
*Na wao wanapo wapimia watu kwa kipimo au mizani hupunguza.
*but diminish when they measure or weigh for them.
83:4
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ
*Kwani hawadhani hao kwamba watafufuliwa
*Do they not know that they will be resurrected
83:5
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
*Katika Siku iliyo kuu,
*on a tremendous day,
83:6
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Siku watapo msimamia watu Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote?
*a day when mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds?
83:7
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
*Hasha! Hakika maandiko ya wakosefu bila ya shaka yamo katika Sijjin.
*Indeed, the record of the vicious is in Sijjeen.
83:8
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
*Unajua nini Sijjin?
*And what will show you what is Sijjeen?
83:9
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
*Kitabu kilicho andikwa.
*It is a written record.
83:10
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
*Ole wao siku hiyo kwa wanao kadhibisha!
*Woe to the deniers on that day,
83:11
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
*Ambao wanaikadhibisha Siku ya Malipo.
*who deny the Day of Retribution;
83:12
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
*Wala haikadhibishi ila kila mwenye kuruka mipaka, mwenye dhambi.
*and none denies it except every sinful transgressor.
83:13
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Anapo somewa Aya zetu husema: Ni visa vya watu wa kale!
*When Our signs are recited to him, he says, ‘Myths of the ancients!’
83:14
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
*Hasha! Bali yametia kutu juu ya nyoyo zao hao walio kuwa wakiyachuma.
*No, that is not the case! Rather, their hearts have been sullied by what they have been earning.
83:15
كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ
*Hasha! Hakika hao siku hiyo bila ya shaka watazuiliwa na neema za Mola wao Mlezi.
*Indeed, they will be alienated from their Lord on that day.
83:16
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ
*Kisha wataingia Motoni!
*Afterward they will enter hell,
83:17
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
*Kisha waambiwe: Haya ndiyo mliyo kuwa mkiyakadhabisha.
*then told, ‘This is what you used to deny!’
83:18
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
*Hasha! Hakika maandiko ya watu wema bila ya shaka yamo katika I´liyyin.
*Indeed, the record of the pious is in Illeeyun.
83:19
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
*Na nini kitakacho kujuvya nini I´liyyin?
*And what will show you what is Illeeyun?
83:20
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
*Kitabu kilicho andikwa.
*It is a written record,
83:21
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
*Wanakishuhudia walio karibishwa.
*witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
83:22
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
*Hakika watu wema bila ya shaka watakuwa katika neema.
*The pious shall be amid bliss,
83:23
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
*Wakae juu ya viti vya enzi wakiangalia.
*observing, [as they recline] on couches.
83:24
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
*Utatambua katika nyuso zao mng´aro wa neema,
*You will perceive in their faces the freshness of bliss.
83:25
يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيقٍ مَخْتُومٍ
*Watanyweshwa kinywaji safi kiliyo tiwa muhuri,
*They will be served with a sealed pure wine,
83:26
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
*Muhuri wake ni miski. Na katika hayo washindanie wenye kushindana.
*whose seal is musk—for such let the viers vie—
83:27
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ تَسْنِيمٍ
*Na mchanganyiko wake ni Tasniim,
*and whose seasoning is from Tasneem,
83:28
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
*Chemchem watakayo inywa walio kurubishwa.
*a spring where those brought near [to Allah] drink.
83:29
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
*Kwa hakika wale walio kuwa wakosefu walikuwa wakiwacheka walio amini.
*Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the faithful,
83:30
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
*Na wanapo pita karibu yao wakikonyezana.
*and when they passed them by they would wink at each other,
83:31
وَإِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
*Na wanapo rudi kwa watu wao hurudi nao wamefurahi.
*and when they returned to their folks they would return amused,
83:32
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ
*Na wanapo waona husema: Hakika hawa ndio khasa walio potea.
*and when they saw them they would say, ‘Indeed those are the astray!’
83:33
وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
*Na wao hawakutumwa wawe walinzi juu yao.
*Though they were not sent to watch over them.
83:34
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
*Basi leo walio amini ndio watawacheka makafiri,
*So today the faithful will laugh at the faithless,
83:35
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
*Nao wako juu ya viti vya enzi wakiangalia.
*observing from their couches:
83:36
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
*Je! makafiri wamelipwa malipo ya yale waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda?
*Have the faithless been requited for what they used to do?
