Sura 71 - Nooh

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
71:1
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Hakika Sisi tulimtuma Nuh´u kwa watu wake: Uwaonye kaumu yako kabla ya kuwafikia adhabu chungu.
*Indeed We sent Noah to his people, [saying,] ‘Warn your people before a painful punishment overtakes them.’
71:2
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
*Akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Kwa hakika mimi ni mwonyaji wa dhaahiri kwenu,
*He said, ‘O my people! Indeed, I am a manifest warner to you.
71:3
أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ
*Ya kwamba mumuabudu Mwenyezi Mungu, na mumche Yeye, na mumt´ii.
*Worship Allah and be wary of Him, and obey me,
71:4
يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Atakughufirieni madhambi yenu, na atakuakhirisheni mpaka muda ulio wekwa. Hakika muda wa Mwenyezi Mungu utapo fika haucheleweshwi. Laiti mngejua!
*that He may forgive you some of your sins and respite you until a specified time. Indeed when Allah’s [appointed] time comes, it cannot be deferred, if you know.’
71:5
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا
*Akasema: Ee Mola wangu Mlezi! Hakika mimi nimewaita watu wangu usiku na mchana,
*He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed, I have summoned my people night and day
71:6
فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَارًا
*Lakini wito wangu haukuwazidisha ila kukimbia.
*but my summons only increases their evasion.
71:7
وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا
*Na hakika mimi kila nilipo waita ili upate kuwaghufiria, walijiziba masikio yao kwa vidole vyao, na wakajigubika nguo zao, na wakakamia, na wakatakabari vikubwa mno!
*Indeed whenever I have summoned them, so that You might forgive them, they would put their fingers into their ears and draw their cloaks over their heads, and they were persistent [in their unfaith], and disdainful in [their] arrogance.
71:8
ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا
*Tena niliwaita kwa uwazi,
*Again I summoned them aloud,
71:9
ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا
*Kisha nikawatangazia kwa kelele, tena nikasema nao kwa siri.
*and again appealed to them publicly and confided with them privately,
71:10
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا
*Nikasema: Ombeni msamaha kwa Mola wenu Mlezi; hakika Yeye ni Mwingi wa kusamehe.
*telling [them]: ‘‘Plead to your Lord for forgiveness. Indeed, He is all-forgiving.
71:11
يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا
*Atakuleteeni mvua inyeshe mfululizo.
*He will send for you abundant rains from the sky,
71:12
وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا
*Na atakupeni mali na wana, na atakupeni mabustani na atakufanyieni mito.
*and aid you with wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and provide you with streams.
71:13
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا
*Mna nini hamweki heshima ya Mwenyezi Mungu?
*What is the matter with you that you do not look upon Allah with veneration,
71:14
وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا
*Na hali Yeye kakuumbeni daraja baada ya daraja?
*though He has created you in [various] stages?
71:15
أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا
*Kwani hamwoni jinsi Mwenyezi Mungu alivyo ziumba mbingu saba kwa matabaka?
*Have you not seen how Allah has created the seven heavens in layers,
71:16
وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا
*Na akaufanya mwezi ndani yake uwe nuru, na akalifanya jua kuwa taa?
*and has made therein the moon for a light and the sun for a lamp?
71:17
وَاللَّهُ أَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu amekuotesheni katika ardhi kama mimea.
*Allah made you grow from the earth, with a [vegetable] growth.
71:18
ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا
*Kisha atakurudsheni humo na atakutoeni tena.
*Then He makes you return to it, and He will bring you forth [without fail].
71:19
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا
*Na Mwenyezi Mungu amekukunjulieni ardhi kama busati.
*Allah has made the earth a vast expanse for you
71:20
لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا
*Ili mtembee humo katika njia zilizo pana.
*so that you may travel over its spacious ways.’’ ’
71:21
قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا
*Nuh´u akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Hakika hao wameniasi, na wamemfuata yule ambaye mali yake na wanawe hawakumzidishia ila khasara.
*Noah said, ‘My Lord! They have disobeyed me, following someone whose wealth and children only add to his loss,
71:22
وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا
*Na wakapanga vitimbi vikubwa.
*and they have devised an outrageous plot.
71:23
وَقَالُوا لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا
*Na wakasema: Msiwaache miungu yenu, wala msimwache Wadda wala Suwaa´ wala Yaghutha, wala Yau´qa, wala Nasra.
*They say, ‘‘Do not abandon your gods. Do not abandon Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth, Ya‘uq and Nasr,’’
71:24
وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا
*Na hao walikwisha wapoteza wengi, wala usiwazidishie walio dhulumu ila kupotea.
*and already they have led many astray. Do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but error.’
71:25
مِمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْصَارًا
*Basi kwa ajili ya makosa yao waligharikishwa wakaingizwa Motoni, wala hawakuwapata wa kuwanusuru badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu.
*They were drowned because of their iniquities, then made to enter a Fire, and they did not find any helpers for themselves besides Allah.
71:26
وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا
*Na Nuh´u akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Usimwache juu ya ardhi mkaazi wake yeyote katika makafiri!
*And Noah said, ‘My Lord! ‘Do not leave on the earth any inhabitant from among the faithless.
71:27
إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا
*Hakika ukiwaacha watawapoteza waja wako, wala wao hawatazaa ila waovu makafiri.
*If You leave them, they will lead astray Your servants, and will beget none except vicious ingrates.
71:28
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا
*Mola wangu Mlezi! Nighufirie mimi na wazazi wangu, na kila aliye ingia nyumbani mwangu kuwa ni mwenye kuamini, na Waumini wote wanaume, na Waumini wanawake. Na wala usiwazidishie walio dhulumu ila kupotea.
*My Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house in faith, and the faithful men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but ruin.’
