Sura 70 - Al-Ma'aarij

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
70:1
سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ
*Muulizaji aliuliza juu ya adhabu itakayo tokea,
*An asker asked for a punishment sure to befall
70:2
لِلْكَافِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ
*Kwa makafiri - ambayo hapana awezaye kuizuia -
*—which none can avert from the faithless—
70:3
مِنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ
*Kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Mwenye mbingu za daraja.
*from God, Lord of the lofty stations.
70:4
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ
*Malaika na Roho hupanda kwendea kwake katika siku ambayo kadiri yake ni miaka khamsini elfu!
*The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day whose span is fifty thousand years.
70:5
فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا
*Basi subiri kwa subira njema.
*So be patient, with a patience that is graceful.
70:6
إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا
*Hakika wao wanaiona iko mbali,
*They indeed see it to be far off,
70:7
وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا
*Na Sisi tunaiona iko karibu.
*and We see it to be near.
70:8
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ
*Siku ambayo mbingu zitakapo kuwa kama maadeni iliyo yayushwa.
*The day when the sky will be like molten copper,
70:9
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ
*Na milima itakuwa kama sufi.
*and the mountains like tufts of dyed wool,
70:10
وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا
*Wala jamaa hatamuuliza jamaa yake.
*and no friend will inquire about friend,
70:11
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ
*Ijapo kuwa wataonyeshwa waonane. Atatamani mkosefu lau ajikomboe na adhabu ya siku hiyo kwa kuwatoa fidia wanawe,
*though they will be placed within each other’s sight. The guilty one will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children,
70:12
وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ
*Na mkewe, na nduguye,
*his spouse and his brother,
70:13
وَفَصِيلَتِهِ الَّتِي تُؤْوِيهِ
*Na jamaa zake walio kuwa wakimkimu,
*his kin which had sheltered him
70:14
وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنْجِيهِ
*Na wote waliomo duniani, kisha aokoke yeye.
*and all those who are upon the earth, if that might deliver him.
70:15
كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ
*La, hasha! Kwa hakika huo ni Moto mkali kabisa,
*Never! It is indeed a blazing fire,
70:16
نَزَّاعَةً لِلشَّوَىٰ
*Unao babua ngozi ya kichwa!
*which strips away the scalp.
70:17
تَدْعُو مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
*Utamwita kila aliye geuza mgongo na akageuka.
*It invites him who has turned his back on the truth and forsaken it,
70:18
وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَىٰ
*Na akakusanya mali, kisha akayahifadhi.
*amassing wealth and hoarding it.
70:19
إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا
*Hakika mtu ameumbwa na papara.
*The human being has indeed been created covetous:
70:20
إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا
*Inapo mgusa shari hupapatika.
*anxious when an ill befalls him
70:21
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا
*Na inapo mgusa kheri huizuilia.
*and grudging charity when good comes his way
70:22
إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ
*Isipo kuwa wanao sali,
*—[all are such] except the prayerful,
70:23
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ
*Ambao wanadumisha Sala zao,
*those who persevere in their prayers
70:24
وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَعْلُومٌ
*Na ambao katika mali yao iko haki maalumu
*and there is a known share in whose wealth
70:25
لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ
*Kwa mwenye kuomba na anaye jizuilia kuomba;
*for the beggar and the deprived,
70:26
وَالَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
*Na ambao wanaisadiki Siku ya Malipo,
*and who affirm the Day of Retribution,
70:27
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ
*Na ambao wanaiogopa adhabu itokayo kwa Mola wao Mlezi.
*and those who are apprehensive of the punishment of their Lord
70:28
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ
*Hakika adhabu ya Mola wao Mlezi si ya kuaminika nayo.
*(there is indeed no security from the punishment of their Lord)
70:29
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ
*Na ambao wanahifadhi tupu zao.
*and those who guard their private parts
70:30
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ
*Isipo kuwa kwa wake zao, au iliyo wamiliki mikono yao ya kuume, basi hao hawalaumiwi -
*(except from their spouses and their slave women, for then they are not blameworthy;
70:31
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ
*Lakini wanao taka kinyume ya haya, basi hao ndio wanao ruka mipaka.
*but whoever seeks beyond that —it is they who are the transgressors)
70:32
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ
*Na ambao wanazichunga amana zao na ahadi zao,
*and those who keep their trusts and covenants,
70:33
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ
*Na ambao wanasimama imara katika ushahidi wao,
*and those who are conscientious in their testimonies,
70:34
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
*Na ambao wanazihifadhi Sala zao.
*and those who are watchful of their prayers.
70:35
أُولَٰئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ
*Hao ndio watakao hishimiwa Peponi.
*They will be in gardens, held in honour.
70:36
فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ
*Wana nini wale walio kufuru wanakutumbulia macho tu?
*What is the matter with the faithless that they scramble toward you
70:37
عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ
*Makundi kwa makundi upande wa kulia na upande wa kushoto!
*from left and right in groups?
70:38
أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ
*Kwani kila mmoja wao anatumai kuingizwa katika Pepo ya neema?
*Does each man among them hope to enter the garden of bliss?
70:39
كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ
*La, hasha! Hakika Sisi tumewaumba kutokana na wanacho kijua.
*Never! Indeed, We created them from what they know.
70:40
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ
*Basi naapa kwa Mola Mlezi wa mashariki zote na magharibi zote kwamba Sisi tunaweza
*So I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We are able
70:41
عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
*Kuwabadili kwa walio bora kuliko wao; na Sisi hatushindwi.
*to replace them with others better than them and We are not to be outmaneuvered.
70:42
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ
*Basi waache wapige porojo na wacheze, mpaka wakutane na siku yao wanayo ahidiwa,
*So leave them to gossip and play till they encounter the day they are promised:
70:43
يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٍ يُوفِضُونَ
*Siku watakapotoka makaburini kwa upesi kama kwamba wanakimbilia mfundo,
*the day when they emerge from the graves, hastening, as if racing toward a target,
70:44
خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
*Macho yao yatainama, fedheha itawafunika. Hiyo ndiyo Siku waliyo kuwa wakiahidiwa.
*with a humbled look in their eyes, overcast by abasement. That is the day they had been promised.
