Sura 23 - Al-Muminoon

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
23:1
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
*HAKIKA wamefanikiwa Waumini,
*Certainly, the faithful have attained salvation
23:2
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ
*Ambao ni wanyenyekevu katika Sala zao,
*—those who are humble in their prayers,
23:3
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ
*Na ambao hujiepusha na mambo ya upuuzi,
*avoid vain talk,
23:4
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ
*Na ambao wanatoa Zaka,
*carry out their [duty of] zakat,
23:5
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ
*Na ambao wanazilinda tupu zao,
*guard their private parts,
23:6
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ
*Isipo kuwa kwa wake zao au kwa iliyo wamiliki mikono yao ya kulia. Kwani hao si wenye kulaumiwa.
*(except from their spouses or their slave women, for then they are not blameworthy;
23:7
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ
*Lakini anaye taka kinyume cha haya, basi hao ndio warukao mipaka.
*but whoever seeks [anything] beyond that—it is they who are transgressors),
23:8
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ
*Na ambao wanazitimiza amana zao na ahadi zao,
*and those who keep their trusts and covenants
23:9
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
*Na ambao Sala zao wanazihifadhi -
*and are watchful of their prayers.
23:10
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ
*Hao ndio warithi,
*It is they who will be the inheritors,
23:11
الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
*Ambao watairithi Pepo ya Firdausi, wadumu humo.
*who shall inherit paradise and will remain in it [forever].
23:12
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ سُلَالَةٍ مِنْ طِينٍ
*Na kwa yakini tumemuumba mtu kutokana na asli ya udongo.
*Certainly We created man from an extract of clay.
23:13
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ
*Kisha tukamjaalia awe tone ya mbegu ya uzazi katika kalio madhubuti.
*Then We made him a drop of [seminal] fluid [lodged] in a secure abode.
23:14
ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
*Kisha tukaiumba tone kuwa damu iliyo ganda, na tukaiumba damu kuwa pande la nyama, kisha tukaliumba pande la nyama kuwa mifupa, na mifupa tukaivika nyama. Kisha tukamfanya kiumbe mwengine. Basi ametukuka Mwenyezi Mungu Mbora wa waumbaji.
*Then We created the drop of fluid as a clinging mass. Then We created the clinging mass as a fleshy tissue. Then We created the fleshy tissue as bones. Then We clothed the bones with flesh. Then We produced him as [yet] another creature. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators!
23:15
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ
*Kisha hakika nyinyi baada ya hayo mtakufa.
*Then indeed you die after that.
23:16
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ
*Kisha hakika nyinyi Siku ya Kiyama mtafufuliwa.
*Then you will indeed be raised up on the Day of Resurrection.
23:17
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ
*Na kwa yakini tumeziumba juu yenu njia saba. Nasi hatukuwa wenye kughafilika na viumbe.
*Certainly We created above you seven levels and We have not been oblivious of the creation.
23:18
وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ
*Na tumeteremsha kutoka mbinguni maji kwa kiasi na tukayatuliza katika ardhi. Na hakika Sisi tunaweza kuyaondoa.
*We sent down water from the sky in a measured manner, and We lodged it within the ground, and We are indeed able to take it away.
23:19
فَأَنْشَأْنَا لَكُمْ بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
*Kwa maji hayo tukakufanyieni bustani za mitende na mizabibu, mnapata humo matunda mengi, na katika hayo mnakula;
*Then with it We produced for you gardens of date palms and vines. There are abundant fruits in them for you, and you eat from them,
23:20
وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنْبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِلْآكِلِينَ
*Na mti utokao katika mlima wa Sinai, unatoa mafuta na kuwa kitoweo kwa walao.
*and a tree that grows on Mount Sinai, which produces oil and a seasoning for those who eat.
23:21
وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُسْقِيكُمْ مِمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
*Na hakika mnayo mazingatio makubwa katika nyama hoa - tunakunywesheni katika vile viliomo matumboni mwao, na nyinyi mnapata katika hao manufaa mengi, na pia mnawala.
*There is indeed a moral for you in the cattle: We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and you have many uses in them, and you eat some of them,
23:22
وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ
*Na juu yao na juu ya marikebu mnabebwa.
*and you are carried on them and on ships.
23:23
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Na hakika tulimtuma Nuhu kwa watu wake, akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu. Nyinyi hamna mungu asiye kuwa Yeye. Basi je! Hamwogopi?
*Certainly We sent Noah to his people, and he said, ‘O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’
23:24
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Walisema wale wakuu walio kufuru katika watu wake: Huyu si chochote ila ni mtu tu kama nyinyi. Anataka kujipa ubora juu yenu. Na lau kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu amependa basi yakini angeli teremsha Malaika. Hatukusikia haya kwa baba zetu wa zamani.
*But the elite of the faithless from among his people said, ‘This is just a human being like you, who seeks to dominate you. Had Allah wished, He would have sent down angels. We never heard of such a thing among our forefathers.
23:25
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
*Huyu si lolote ila ni mtu mwenye wazimu. Basi mngojeeni tu kwa muda.
*He is just a man possessed by madness. So bear with him for a while.’
23:26
قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ
*Akasema (Nuhu): Mola wangu Mlezi! Ninusuru kwa kuwa wamenikanusha.
*He said, ‘My Lord! Help me, for they impugn me.’
23:27
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ
*Tukampa wahyi: Unda jahazi mbele ya macho yetu na uwongozi wetu! Basi itapo fika amri yetu na ikafurika tanuri, hapo waingize ndani yake wa kila namna dume na jike, na ahali zako, isipo kuwa yule ambaye katika wao juu yake imekwisha tangulia kauli. Wala usinitajie hao walio dhulumu. Kwani hao bila ya shaka watazamishwa.
*So We revealed to him: ‘Build the ark before Our eyes and by Our revelation. When Our edict comes and the oven gushes [a stream of water], bring into it a pair of every kind [of animal], and your family, except those of them against whom the decree has gone beforehand, and do not plead with Me for those who are wrongdoers: they shall indeed be drowned.’
23:28
فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Basi utakapo tulia wewe na walio pamoja nawe humo marikebuni, sema: Alhamdulillahi Sifa zote njema ni za Mwenyezi Mungu, aliye tuokoa na watu madhaalimu!
*‘When you, and those who are with you, are settled in the ark, say, ‘‘All praise belongs to Allah, who has delivered us from the wrongdoing lot.’’
23:29
وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلًا مُبَارَكًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ
*Na sema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Niteremshe mteremsho wenye baraka, na Wewe ni Mbora wa wateremshaji.
*And say, ‘‘My Lord! Land me with a blessed landing, for You are the best of those who bring ashore.’’ ’
23:30
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ
*Hakika katika hayo yapo mazingatio. Na kwa yakini Sisi ni wenye kuwafanyia mtihani.
*There are indeed signs in this; and indeed, We have been testing.
23:31
ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ
*Kisha baada yao tukaanzisha kizazi kingine.
*Then after them We brought forth another generation,
23:32
فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Tukawapelekea Mtume miongoni mwao, kuwaambia: Muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu! Hamna mungu asiye kuwa Yeye. Jee, hamwogopi?
*and We sent them an apostle from among themselves, saying, ‘Worship Allah! You have no other god besides Him. Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’
23:33
وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ
*Na wakubwa katika watu wake walio kufuru na wakakanusha mkutano wa Akhera, na tukawadekeza kwa starehe katika maisha ya dunia, walisema: Huyu si chochote ila ni binaadamu kama nyinyi; anakula mlacho, na anakunywa mnywacho.
*Said the elite of his people, who were faithless and who denied the encounter of the Hereafter and whom We had given affluence in the life of the world: ‘This is just a human being like yourselves: he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink.
23:34
وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَخَاسِرُونَ
*Na nyinyi mkimt´ii mtu kama nyinyi basi hakika mtakuwa khasarani.
*If you obey a human being like yourselves, you will indeed be losers.
23:35
أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُمْ مُخْرَجُونَ
*Hivyo anakuahidini ati ya kwamba mtakapo kufa na mkawa udongo na mifupa kuwa mtatolewa?
*Does he promise you that when you have died and become bones and dust you will indeed be raised [from the dead]?
23:36
هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ
*Hayawi! Hayawi hayo mnayo ahidiwa.
*Far-fetched, far-fetched is what you are promised!
23:37
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ
*Hapana ila uhai wetu wa duniani tu, tunakufa na kuishi basi. Wala sisi hatutafufuliwa.
*There is nothing but the life of this world: we live and die, and we will not be resurrected.
23:38
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
*Huyu si lolote ila ni mtu anaye mzulia Mwenyezi Mungu uwongo, wala sisi sio wa kumuamini.
*He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we will not believe in him.’
23:39
قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ
*Akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Ninusuru kwa sababu wananikanusha.
*He said, ‘My Lord! Help me, for they impugn me.’
23:40
قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ
*(Mwenyezi Mungu) akasema: Baada ya muda mchache watakuwa wenye kujuta.
*Said He, ‘In a little while they will become regretful.’
23:41
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Basi ukawanyakua ukelele kwa haki, na tukawafanya kama takataka zinazo elea juu ya maji. Ikapotelea mbali kaumu ya madhaalimu!
*So the Cry seized them justly and We turned them into a scum. So away with the wrongdoing lot!
23:42
ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ
*Kisha tukaleta baada yao vizazi vingine.
*Then after them We brought forth other generations.
23:43
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ
*Hapana umma uwezao kutanguliza ajali yake wala kuikawiza.
*No nation can advance its time nor can it defer it.
23:44
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِقَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
*Kisha tukawatuma Mitume wetu, mmoja baada ya mmoja. Kila umma alipo wafikia Mtume wao walimkanusha. Tukawafuatanisha hawa baada ya hawa, na tukawafanya ni hadithi za kusimuliwa. Wakapotelea mbali watu wasio amini.
*Then We sent Our apostles successively. Whenever there came to a nation its apostle, they impugned him, so We made them follow one another [to extinction] and We turned them into folktales. So away with the faithless lot!
23:45
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ
*Kisha tukamtuma Musa na nduguye, Haaruni, pamoja na ishara zetu na hoja zilizo wazi.
*Then We sent Moses and Aaron, his brother, with Our signs and a manifest authority
23:46
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ
*Kumwendea Firauni na wakuu wake. Lakini walijivuna, nao walikuwa watu majeuri.
*to Pharaoh and his elites; but they acted arrogantly and they were a tyrannical lot.
23:47
فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ
*Wakasema: Je, tuwaamini wanaadamu wawili hawa kama sisi, na ambao watu wao ni watumwa wetu?
*They said, ‘Shall we believe two humans like ourselves, while their people are our slaves?’
23:48
فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ
*Basi wakawakanusha, na wakawa miongoni mwa walio angamizwa.
*So they impugned the two of them, whereat they were among those who were destroyed.
23:49
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
*Na hakika tulimpa Musa Kitabu ili wapate kuongoka.
*Certainly We gave Moses the Book so that they might be guided,
23:50
وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ
*Na tukamfanya mwana wa Mariamu na mama yake kuwa ni Ishara, na tukawapa makimbilio kwenda mahali palipo inuka penye utulivu na chemchem za maji.
*and We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and sheltered them in a level highland with flowing water.
23:51
يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ
*Enyi Mitume! Kuleni vyakula vizuri na tendeni mema. Hakika Mimi ni Mjuzi wa mnayo yatenda.
*O apostles! Eat of the good things and act righteously. Indeed I know best what you do.
23:52
وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ
*Na kwa yakini huu Umma wenu ni Umma mmoja, na Mimi ni Mola wenu Mlezi, basi nicheni Mimi.
*Indeed this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord, so be wary of Me.
23:53
فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
*Lakini walikatiana jambo lao mapande mbali mbali. Kila kundi likifurahia kwa waliyo nayo.
*But they fragmented their religion among themselves, each party boasting about what it had.
23:54
فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
*Basi waache katika ghafla yao kwa muda.
*So leave them in their stupor for a while.
23:55
أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ
*Je! Wanadhani ya kuwa kwa vile tunavyo wapa mali na watoto
*Do they suppose that whatever aid We provide them in regard to wealth and children [is because]
23:56
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَلْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
*Ndio tunawahimizia kheri? Lakini wenyewe hawatambui.
*We are eager to bring them good? No, they are not aware!
23:57
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ
*Kwa hakika hao ambao kwa kumwogopa Mola wao Mlezi wananyenyekea,
*Indeed those who are apprehensive for the fear of their Lord,
23:58
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
*Na wale ambao Ishara za Mola wao Mlezi wanaziamini,
*and believe in the signs of their Lord,
23:59
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ
*Na wale ambao Mola wao Mlezi hawamshirikishi,
*and do not ascribe partners to their Lord;
23:60
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ
*Na wale ambao wanatoa walicho pewa, na hali nyoyo zao zinagopa kwa kuwa watarejea kwa Mola wao Mlezi,
*who give whatever they give while their hearts tremble with awe that they are going to return to their Lord
23:61
أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ
*Basi wote hao ndio wanao kimbilia katika mambo ya kheri, na ndio watakao tangulia kuyafikia.
*—it is they who are zealous in [performing] good works and take the lead in them.
23:62
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
*Na hatuilazimishi nafsi ila kwa kadri ya uwezo wake. Na tunacho kitabu kisemacho kweli. Nao hawatadhulumiwa.
*We task no soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.
23:63
بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَالٌ مِنْ دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ
*Lakini nyoyo zao zimeghafilika na hayo, na wanavyo vitendo vinginevyo wanavyo vifanya.
*Indeed, their hearts are in a stupor in regard to this, and there are other deeds besides which they perpetrate.
23:64
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ
*Hata tutakapo watia katika adhabu wale walio dekezwa kwa starehe kati yao, hapo ndipo watapo yayatika.
*When We seize their affluent ones with punishment, behold, they make entreaties [to Us].
23:65
لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُمْ مِنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُونَ
*Msiyayatike leo! Hakika nyinyi hamtanusurika nasi.
*‘Do not make entreaties today! Indeed, you will not receive any help from Us.
23:66
قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُونَ
*Hakika zilikuwa Aya zangu mkisomewa, nanyi mkirudi nyuma juu ya visigino vyenu,
*Certainly My signs used to be recited to you, but you used to take to your heels,
23:67
مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ
*Na huku mkitakabari na usiku mkiizungumza (Qur´ani) kwa dharau.
*being disdainful of it, talking nonsense in your nightly sessions.’
23:68
أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُمْ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Je, hawakuifikiri kauli, au yamewajia yasiyo wafikia baba zao wa zamani?
*Have they not contemplated the Discourse, or has anything come to them [in it] that did not come to their forefathers?
23:69
أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنْكِرُونَ
*Au hawakumjua Mtume wao, ndio maana wanamkataa?
*Is it that they do not recognize their apostle, and so they deny him?
23:70
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَلْ جَاءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ
*Au wanasema: Ana wazimu? Bali amewajia kwa Haki, na wengi wao wanaichukia Haki.
*Do they say, ‘There is madness in him’? No, he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse to the truth.
23:71
وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
*Na lau kuwa Haki ingeli fuata matamanio yao, basi zingeli haribika mbingu na ardhi na waliomo ndani. Bali tumewaletea ukumbusho wao, nao wanajitenga mbali na ukumbusho wao.
*Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth would have surely fallen apart [along] with those who are in them. Indeed, We have brought them their Reminder, but they are disregardful of their Reminder.
23:72
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
*Au unawaomba ujira? Lakini ujira wa Mola wako Mlezi ni bora, na Yeye ndiye Mbora wa wanao ruzuku.
*Do you ask a recompense from them? Your Lord’s recompense is better, and He is the best of providers.
23:73
وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
*Na kwa yakini wewe unawaita kwenye Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
*Indeed you invite them to a straight path,
23:74
وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ
*Na hakika wale wasio iamini Akhera wanajitenga na Njia hiyo.
*and those who do not believe in the Hereafter surely deviate from the path.
23:75
وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
*Na lau tungeli warehemu na tukawaondolea shida waliyo nayo bila ya shaka wangeli endelea katika upotofu wao vile vile, wakitangatanga.
*Should We have mercy upon them and remove their distress, they would surely persist, bewildered in their rebellion.
23:76
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
*Na hakika tuliwatia adhabu kali; lakini hawakuelekea kwa Mola wao Mlezi wala hawakunyenyekea.
*We have already seized them with punishment, yet they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor will they entreat [Him for mercy]
23:77
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ
*Mpaka tulipo wafungulia mlango wa adhabu kali, hapo ndipo wakawa wenye kukata tamaa.
*until We open on them the gate of a severe punishment, whereupon they will be despondent in it.
23:78
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
*Na Yeye ndiye aliye kuumbieni kusikia na kuona na nyoyo za kufahamu. Ni kuchache mno kushukuru kwenu.
*It is He who made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts. Little do you thank.
23:79
وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
*Na Yeye ndiye aliye kuenezeni katika ardhi, na kwake Yeye mtakusanywa.
*It is He who created you on the earth, and you will be mustered toward Him.
23:80
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
*Na Yeye ndiye anaye huisha na kufisha, na yake Yeye mabadiliko ya usiku na mchana. Basi je! Hamfahamu?
*And it is He who gives life and brings death, and due to Him is the alternation of day and night. Do you not exercise your reason?
23:81
بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ
*Bali wanasema kama walivyo sema watu wa kwanza.
*Indeed, they say, just like what the former peoples said.
23:82
قَالُوا أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
*Walisema: Je! Tukisha kufa tukawa udongo na mifupa ndio tutafufuliwa?
*They said, ‘What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected?
23:83
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Tuliahidiwa haya sisi na baba zetu zamani. Hayakuwa haya ila ni visa vya uwongo vya watu wa zamani.
*Certainly, we and our fathers were promised this before. [But] these are nothing but myths of the ancients.’
23:84
قُلْ لِمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Sema: Ni ya nani ardhi na viliomo ndani yake, kama nyinyi mnajua?
*Say, ‘To whom does the earth belong and whoever it contains, if you know?’
23:85
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
*Watasema: Ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu! Sema: Basi, je, hamkumbuki?
*They will say, ‘To Allah.’ Say, ‘Will you not then take admonition?’
23:86
قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Sema: Ni nani Mola Mlezi wa mbingu saba na Mola Mlezi wa A´rshi Kuu?
*Say, ‘Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne?’
23:87
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
*Watasema: Ni vya Mwenyezi Mungu. Sema: Basi je, hamwogopi?
*They will say, ‘[They belong] to Allah.’ Say, ‘Will you not then be wary [of Him]?’
23:88
قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Sema: Ni nani mkononi mwake umo Ufalme wa kila kitu, naye ndiye anaye linda, wala hakilindwi asicho taka, kama mnajua?
*Say, ‘In whose hand is the dominion of all things, and who gives shelter and no shelter can be provided from Him, if you know?’
23:89
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ
*Watasema: (Ufalme huo) ni wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Sema: Basi vipi mnadanganyika?
*They will say, ‘[They all belong] to Allah.’ Say, ‘Then how are you so deluded?’
23:90
بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
*Bali tumewaletea Haki, na kwa yakini hao ni waongo.
*Indeed, We have brought them the truth, and they are indeed liars.
23:91
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِنْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
*Mwenyezi Mungu hana mwana yeyote, wala hanaye mungu mwengine. Inge kuwa hivyo basi kila mungu angeli chukua alivyo umba, na baadhi yao wangeli washinda wengine. Mwenyezi Mungu ameepukana na sifa wanazo msifu.
*Allah has not taken any offspring, neither is there any god besides Him, for then each god would take away what he created, and some of them would surely rise up against others. Clear is Allah of what they allege!
23:92
عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
*Mjuzi wa siri na dhaahiri, na ametukuka juu ya hayo wanayo mshirikisha nayo.
*The Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, He is above having any partners that they ascribe [to Him].
23:93
قُلْ رَبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ
*Sema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Ukinionyesha adhabu waliyo ahidiwa,
*Say, ‘My Lord! If You should show me what they are promised,
23:94
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Mola wangu Mlezi! Usinijaalie katika watu madhaalimu hao.
*then do not put me, my Lord, among the wrongdoing lot.’
23:95
وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ
*Na hakika Sisi ni waweza wa kukuonyeshsa tuliyo waahidi.
*We are indeed able to show you what We promise them.
23:96
ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ
*Kinga maovu kwa kutenda yaliyo mema zaidi. Sisi tunajua wayasemayo.
*Repel ill [conduct] with that which is the best. We know best whatever they allege.
23:97
وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
*Na sema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Najikinga kwako na wasiwasi wa mashet´ani.
*Say, ‘My Lord! I seek Your protection from the promptings of devils,
23:98
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ
*Na najikinga kwako, Mola wangu Mlezi, wasinikaribie.
*and I seek Your protection, my Lord, from their presence near me.’
23:99
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ
*Mpaka yanapo mfikia mmoja wao mauti, husema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Nirudishe.
*When death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord! Take me back,
23:100
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
*Ili nitende mema sasa badala ya yale niliyo yaacha. Wapi! Hii ni kauli aisemayo yeye tu. Na nyuma yao kipo kizuizi mpaka siku watapo fufuliwa.
*that I may act righteously in what I have left behind.’ ‘By no means! These are mere words that he says.’ And before them is a barrier until the day they will be resurrected.
23:101
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
*Basi litapo pulizwa baragumu hapo hautakuwapo ujamaa baina yao siku hiyo, wala hawataulizana.
*When the Trumpet is blown, there will be no ties between them on that day, nor will they ask [about] each other.
23:102
فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
*Ama wale ambao mizani zao zitakuwa nzito, hao ndio wenye kufanikiwa.
*Then those whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales—it is they who are the felicitous.
23:103
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ
*Na wale ambao mizani zao zitakuwa nyepesi, hao ndio walio zitia khasarani nafsi zao, na katika Jahannamu watadumu.
*As for those whose deeds weigh light in the scales—they will be the ones who have ruined their souls, and they will remain in hell [forever].
23:104
تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ
*Moto utababua nyuso zao, nao watakuwa na nyuso zilizo kunjana.
*The Fire will scorch their faces, while they snarl baring their teeth.
23:105
أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
*Je! Hazikuwa Aya zangu mkisomewa, na nyinyi mkizikanusha?
*‘Was it not that My signs were recited to you but you would deny them?’
23:106
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ
*Mola wetu Mlezi! Tulizidiwa na uovu wetu na tukawa watu tulio potea.
*They will say, ‘Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were an astray lot.
23:107
رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ
*Mola wetu Mlezi! Tutoe humu Motoni. Na tufanyapo tena basi kweli sisi ni wenye kudhulumu.
*Our Lord! Bring us out of this! Then, if we revert [to our previous conduct], we will indeed be wrongdoers.’
23:108
قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ
*Atasema Mwenyezi Mungu: Tokomeeni humo, wala msinisemeze.
*He will say, ‘Begone in it, and do not speak to Me!
23:109
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
*Bila ya shaka lilikuwapo kundi katika waja wangu likisema: Mola wetu Mlezi! Tumeamini; basi tusamehe na uturehemu, nawe ndiwe Mbora wa wanao rehemu.
*Indeed there was a part of My servants who would say, ‘‘Our Lord! We have believed. So forgive us, and have mercy on us, and You are the best of the merciful.’’
23:110
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ
*Lakini nyinyi mliwakejeli hata wakakusahaulisheni kunikumbuka, na mlikuwa mkiwacheka.
*But you took them by ridicule until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.
23:111
إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
*Hakika Mimi leo nimewalipa kwa vile walivyo subiri. Bila ya shaka hao ndio wenye kufuzu.
*Indeed I have rewarded them today for their patience. They are indeed the triumphant.’
23:112
قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ
*Atasema: Mlikaa muda gani katika ardhi kwa hisabu ya miaka?
*He will say, ‘How many years did you remain on earth?’
23:113
قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ
*Watasema: Tulikaa siku moja au sehemu ya siku. Basi waulize wanao weka hisabu.
*They will say, ‘We remained for a day, or part of a day; yet ask those who keep the count.’
23:114
قَالَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
*Atasema: Nyinyi hamkukaa huko duniani ila kidogo, laiti ingeli kuwa mnajua.
*He will say, ‘You only remained a little; if only you had known.
23:115
أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ
*Je! Mlidhani ya kwamba tulikuumbeni bure na ya kwamba nyinyi kwetu hamtarudishwa?
*Did you suppose that We created you aimlessly, and that you will not be brought back to Us?’
23:116
فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
*Ametukuka Mwenyezi Mungu, Mfalme wa Haki, hapana mungu ila Yeye, Mola Mlezi wa A´rshi Tukufu.
*So exalted is Allah, the True Sovereign, there is no god except Him, the Lord of the Noble Throne.
23:117
وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ
*Na anaye muomba - pamoja na Mwenyezi Mungu - mungu mwenginewe hana ushahidi wa hili; basi bila ya shaka hisabu yake iko kwa Mola wake Mlezi. Kwa hakika makafiri hawafanikiwi.
*Whoever invokes besides Allah another god of which he has no proof, his reckoning will indeed rest with his Lord. Indeed the faithless will not be felicitous.
23:118
وَقُلْ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
*Nawe sema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Samehe na urehemu nawe ni Mbora wa wanao rehemu.
*Say, ‘My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful.’
