Sura 56 - Al-Waaqia

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
56:1
إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ
*Litakapo tukia hilo Tukio
*When the Imminent [Hour] befalls
56:2
لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ
*Hapana cha kukanusha kutukia kwake.
*—there is no denying that it will befall—
56:3
خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ
*Literemshalo linyanyualo,
*[it will be] lowering and exalting.
56:4
إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
*Itakapo tikiswa ardhi kwa mtikiso,
*When the earth is shaken violently,
56:5
وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
*Na milima itapo sagwasagwa,
*and the mountains are shattered into bits
56:6
فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا
*Iwe mavumbi yanayo peperushwa,
*and become scattered dust,
56:7
وَكُنْتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً
*Na nyinyi mtakuwa namna tatu:-
*you will be three groups:
56:8
فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ
*Basi watakuwepo wa kuliani; je, ni wepi wa kuliani?
*The People of the Right Hand—and what are the People of the Right Hand?!
56:9
وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ
*Na wa kushotoni; je, ni wepi wa kushotoni?
*And the People of the Left Hand—and what are the People of the Left Hand?!
56:10
وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ
*Na wa mbele watakuwa mbele.
*And the Foremost Ones are the foremost ones:
56:11
أُولَٰئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
*Hao ndio watakao karibishwa
*they are the ones brought near [to Allah],
56:12
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
*Katika Bustani zenye neema.
*[who will reside] in the gardens of bliss.
56:13
ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Fungu kubwa katika wa mwanzo,
*A multitude from the former [generations]
56:14
وَقَلِيلٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ
*Na wachache katika wa mwisho.
*and a few from the latter ones.
56:15
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَوْضُونَةٍ
*Watakuwa juu ya viti vya fakhari vilivyo tonewa.
*On brocaded couches
56:16
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَابِلِينَ
*Wakiviegemea wakielekeana.
*reclining on them, face to face.
56:17
يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ
*Wakitumikiwa na wavulana wa ujana wa milele,
*They will be waited upon by immortal youths,
56:18
بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
*Kwa vikombe na mabirika na bilauri za vinywaji kutoka chemchem safi.
*with goblets and ewers and a cup of a clear wine,
56:19
لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُونَ
*Hawataumwa kichwa kwa vinywaji hivyo wala hawatoleweshwa.
*which causes them neither headache nor stupefaction,
56:20
وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
*Na matunda wayapendayo,
*and such fruits as they prefer
56:21
وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
*Na nyama za ndege kama wanavyo tamani.
*and such flesh of fowls as they desire,
56:22
وَحُورٌ عِينٌ
*Na Mahurulaini,
*and big-eyed houris
56:23
كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ
*Walio kama mfano wa lulu zilio hifadhiwa.
*like guarded pearls,
56:24
جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
*Ni malipo kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.
*a reward for what they used to do.
56:25
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
*Humo hawatasikia porojo wala maneno ya dhambi,
*They will not hear therein any vain talk or sinful speech,
56:26
إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا
*Isipo kuwa maneno ya Salama, Salama.
*but only the watchword, ‘Peace!’ ‘Peace!’
56:27
وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ
*Na wale wa mkono wa kulia, ni yepi yatakuwa ya wa kuliani?
*And the People of the Right Hand—what are the People of the Right Hand?!
56:28
فِي سِدْرٍ مَخْضُودٍ
*Katika mikunazi isiyo na miba,
*Amid thornless lote trees
56:29
وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ
*Na migomba iliyo pangiliwa,
*and clustered spathes
56:30
وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ
*Na kivuli kilicho tanda,
*and extended shade,
56:31
وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ
*Na maji yanayo miminika,
*and ever-flowing water
56:32
وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
*Na matunda mengi,
*and abundant fruits,
56:33
لَا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ
*Hayatindikii wala hayakatazwi,
*neither inaccessible, nor forbidden,
56:34
وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ
*Na matandiko yaliyo nyanyuliwa.
*and noble spouses.
56:35
إِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً
*Hakika Sisi tutawaumba (Mahurulaini) upya,
*We have created them with a special creation,
56:36
فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا
*Na tutawafanya vijana,
*and made them virgins,
56:37
عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا
*Wanapendana na waume zao, hirimu moja.
*loving, of a like age,
56:38
لِأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
*Kwa ajili ya watu wa kuliani.
*for the People of the Right Hand.
56:39
ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
*Fungu kubwa katika wa mwanzo,
*A multitude from the former [generations]
56:40
وَثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ
*Na fungu kubwa katika wa mwisho.
*and a multitude from the latter [ones].
56:41
وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ
*Na watu wa kushotoni; je ni yepi ya wa kushotoni?
*And the People of the Left Hand—what are the People of the Left Hand?!
56:42
فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ
*Katika upepo wa moto, na maji yanayo chemka,
*Amid infernal miasma and boiling water
56:43
وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ
*Na kivuli cha moshi mweusi,
*and the shadow of a dense black smoke,
56:44
لَا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
*Si cha kuburudisha wala kustarehesha.
*neither cool nor beneficial.
56:45
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
*Hakika hao walikuwa kabla ya haya wakiishi maisha ya anasa.
*Indeed they had been affluent before this,
56:46
وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنْثِ الْعَظِيمِ
*Na walikuwa wakishikilia kufanya madhambi makubwa,
*and they used to persist in the great sin.
56:47
وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
*Na walikuwa wakisema: Tutakapo kufa na tukawa udongo na mafupa, ati ndio tutafufuliwa?
*And they used to say, ‘What! When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected?!
56:48
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
*Au baba zetu wa zamani?
*And our forefathers too?!’
56:49
قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ
*Sema: Hakika wa zamani na wa mwisho
*Say, ‘Indeed the former and latter generations
56:50
لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
*Bila ya shaka watakusanywa kwa wakati wa siku maalumu.
*will all be gathered for the tryst of a known day.
56:51
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ
*Kisha nyinyi, mlio potea, mnao kanusha,
*Then indeed, you, astray deniers,
56:52
لَآكِلُونَ مِنْ شَجَرٍ مِنْ زَقُّومٍ
*Kwa yakini mtakula mti wa Zaqqumu.
*will surely eat from the Zaqqum tree
56:53
فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
*Na kwa mti huo mtajaza matumbo.
*and stuff your bellies with it,
56:54
فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ
*Na juu yake mtakunywa maji yanayo chemka.
*and drink boiling water on top of it,
56:55
فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ
*Tena mtakunywa kama wanavyo kunywa ngamia wenye kiu.
*drinking like thirsty camels.’
56:56
هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
*Hiyo ndiyo karamu yao Siku ya Malipo.
*Such will be the hospitality they receive on the Day of Retribution.
56:57
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ
*Sisi tumekuumbeni; basi hamsadiki?
*We created you. Then why do you not acknowledge it?
56:58
أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تُمْنُونَ
*Je! Mnaiona mbegu ya uzazi mnayo idondokeza?
*Have you considered the sperm that you emit?
56:59
أَأَنْتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ
*Je! Mnaiumba nyinyi, au ni Sisi ndio Waumbaji?
*Is it you who create it, or are We the creator?
56:60
نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
*Sisi tumekuwekeeni mauti; na wala Sisi hatushindwi
*We have ordained death among you, and We are not to be outmaneuvered
56:61
عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
*Kuwaleta wengine badala yenu na kukuumbeni nyinyi kwa umbo msilo lijua.
*from replacing you with your likes and recreating you in [a realm] you do not know.
56:62
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
*Na bila ya shaka mlikwisha jua umbo la kwanza, basi kwa nini hamkumbuki?
*Certainly you have known the first genesis, then why do you not take admonition?
56:63
أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَحْرُثُونَ
*Je! Mnaona makulima mnayo yapanda?
*Have you considered what you sow?
56:64
أَأَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ
*Je! Ni nyinyi mnayo yaotesha au ni Sisi ndio wenye kuotesha?
*Is it you who make it grow, or are We the grower?
56:65
لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ
*Tungeli taka tungeli yafanya yakawa mapepe, mkabaki mnastaajabu,
*If We wish, We turn it into chaff, whereat you are left stunned [saying to yourselves,]
56:66
إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ
*Mkisema: Hakika sisi tumegharimika;
*‘Indeed we have suffered loss!
56:67
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ
*Bali sisi tumenyimwa.
*No, we are deprived!’
56:68
أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ
*Je! Mnayaona maji mnayo yanywa?
*Have you considered the water that you drink?
56:69
أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْزِلُونَ
*Je! Ni nyinyi mnayo yateremsha kutoka mawinguni au ni Sisi ndio wenye kuyateremsha?
*Is it you who bring it down from the rain cloud, or is it We who bring [it] down?
56:70
لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ
*Tungeli penda tungeli yafanya ya chumvi. Basi mbona hamshukuru?
*If We wish We can make it bitter. Then why do you not give thanks?
56:71
أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ
*Je! Mnauona moto mnao uwasha?
*Have you considered the fire that you kindle?
56:72
أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْشِئُونَ
*Ni nyinyi mlio uumba mti wake au Sisi ndio Waumbaji?
*Was it you who caused its tree to grow, or were We the grower?
56:73
نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِلْمُقْوِينَ
*Sisi tumeufanya uwe ni ukumbusho na manufaa kwa walioko nyikani.
*It was We who made it a reminder and a boon for the desert-dwellers.
56:74
فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
*Basi litakase jina la Mola wako Mlezi aliye Mkuu.
*So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme.
56:75
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ
*Basi naapa kwa maanguko ya nyota,
*I swear by the places where the stars set!
56:76
وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ
*Na hakika bila ya shaka hichi ni kiapo kikubwa, laiti mngeli jua!
*And indeed it is a great oath, should you know.
56:77
إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ
*Hakika hii bila ya shaka ni Qur´ani Tukufu,
*This is indeed a noble Quran,
56:78
فِي كِتَابٍ مَكْنُونٍ
*Katika Kitabu kilicho hifadhiwa.
*in a guarded Book
56:79
لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ
*Hapana akigusaye ila walio takaswa.
*—no one touches it except the pure ones—
56:80
تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
*Ni uteremsho unao toka kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
*sent down gradually from the Lord of all the worlds.
56:81
أَفَبِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنْتُمْ مُدْهِنُونَ
*Ni maneno haya ndiyo nyinyi mnayapuuza?
*What! Do you take lightly this discourse?
56:82
وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
*Na badala ya kushukuru kwa riziki yenu mnafanya kuwa mnakadhibisha?
*And make your denial of it your vocation?
56:83
فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ
*Yawaje basi itakapo fika roho kwenye koo,
*So when it reaches the throat [of the dying person],
56:84
وَأَنْتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنْظُرُونَ
*Na nyinyi wakati huo mnatazama!
*and at that moment you are looking on [at his bedside]
56:85
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
*Na Sisi tuko karibu zaidi naye kuliko nyinyi.
*—and We are nearer to him than you are, though you do not perceive—
56:86
فَلَوْلَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
*Na lau kuwa nyinyi hamumo katika mamlaka yangu,
*then why do you not restore it, if you are not subject
56:87
تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
*Kwanini hamuirudishi hiyo roho, ikiwa nyinyi mnasema kweli?
*[to Divine dispensation], if you are truthful?
56:88
فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
*Basi akiwa miongoni mwa walio karibishwa,
*Then, if he be of those brought near,
56:89
فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ
*Basi ni raha, na manukato, na Bustani zenye neema.
*then ease, abundance, and a garden of bliss.
56:90
وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
*Na akiwa katika watu wa upande wa kulia,
*And if he be of the People of the Right Hand,
56:91
فَسَلَامٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ
*Basi ni Salamu kwako uliye miongoni mwa watu wa upande wa kulia.
*then [he will be told,] ‘Peace be on you, from the People of the Right Hand!’
56:92
وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ
*Na ama akiwa katika walio kadhibisha wapotovu,
*But if he be of the impugners, the astray ones,
56:93
فَنُزُلٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ
*Basi karamu yake ni maji yanayo chemka,
*then a treat of boiling water
56:94
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ
*Na kutiwa Motoni.
*and entry into hell.
56:95
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ
*Hakika hii ndiyo haki yenye yakini.
*Indeed this is certain truth.
56:96
فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
*Basi litakase jina la Mola wako Mlezi aliye Mkubwa.
*So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme!
