Sura 14 - Ibrahim

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kwa Jina La Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi Wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu.
14:1
الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ
*Alif Lam Ra. (A.L.R.) Hichi ni Kitabu tulicho kiteremsha kwako ili uwatowe watu kwenye giza uwapeleke kwenye muwangaza, kwa idhini ya Mola wao Mlezi, uwafikishe kwenye Njia ya Mwenye nguvu, Msifiwa,
*Alif, Lām, Rā. This is a Book We have sent down to you so that you may bring mankind out from darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, to the path of the All-mighty, the All-laudable
14:2
اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ
*Naye ni Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye ni vyake Yeye vyote viliomo katika mbingu na ardhi. Na ole wao makafiri kwa adhabu kali!
*—God, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe to the faithless for a severe punishment
14:3
الَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
*Wale wanao fadhilisha maisha ya dunia kuliko Akhera, na wanawazuilia watu wasifuate Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na wanataka kuipotosha. Hao wamepotelea mbali.
*—those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, bar others from the way of God, and seek to make it crooked. They are in extreme error.
14:4
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ ۖ فَيُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
*Na hatukumtuma Mtume ila kwa ulimi wa kaumu yake ili apate kuwabainishia. Basi Mwenyezi Mungu humuacha akapotea amtakaye, na akamwongoa amtakaye. Naye ni Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye hikima.
*We did not send any apostle except with the language of his people, so that he might make Our messages clear to them. Then God leads astray whomever He wishes, and He guides whomsoever He wishes, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.
14:5
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُمْ بِأَيَّامِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
*Na tulimtuma Musa pamoja na miujiza yetu, tukamwambia: Watoe watu wako kwenye giza uwapeleke kwenye mwangaza. Na uwakumbushe siku za Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika katika hayo zipo ishara kwa kila mwenye kusubiri akashukuru.
*Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs: ‘Bring your people out from darkness into light and remind them of God’s holy days.’ There are indeed signs in that for every patient and grateful servant.
14:6
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنْجَاكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُمْ بَلَاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
*Na Musa alipo waambia watu wake: Kumbukeni neema ya Mwenyezi Mungu aliyo kujaalieni, pale alipo kuokoeni kutokana na watu wa Firauni walio kupeni adhabu mbaya kabisa, wakiwachinja wenenu wanaume, na wakiwawacha hai wanawake. Na katika hayo ulikuwa mtihani mkubwa unao toka kwa Mola wenu Mlezi.
*When Moses said to his people, ‘Remember God’s blessing upon you when He delivered you from Pharaoh’s clan who inflicted a terrible torment on you, and slaughtered your sons and spared your women, and in that there was a great test from your Lord.
14:7
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
*Na alipo tangaza Mola wenu Mlezi: Mkishukuru nitakuzidishieni; na mkikufuru, basi adhabu yangu ni kali.
*And remember when your Lord declared, “If you are grateful, I will surely enhance you in blessing, but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is indeed severe.” ’
14:8
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا أَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
*Na Musa alisema: Mkikufuru nyinyi na wote waliomo duniani, hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkwasi, Anajitosha, Msifiwa.
*And Moses said, ‘Should you be faithless —you and everyone on the earth, all together— indeed God is all-sufficient, all-laudable.’
14:9
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ ۛ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ۚ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرَدُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَقَالُوا إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ وَإِنَّا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَنَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ
*Je! Hazikukufikieni khabari za walio kabla yenu? Kaumu ya Nuhu, na A´adi, na Thamud, na walio baada yao, ambao hapana awajuaye ila Mwenyezi Mungu? Mitume wao waliwajia kwa hoja zilizo wazi, na wao wakarudisha mikono yao kwenye vinywa vyao, wakasema: Hakika sisi tumeyakataa hayo mliyo tumwa, na hakika sisi tuna shaka kubwa na mnayo tuitia.
*Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you —the people of Noah, ‘Ād and Thamūd, and those who were after them, whom no one knows well except God? Their apostles brought them clear proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, ‘We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. We have indeed grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.’
14:10
قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِي اللَّهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ قَالُوا إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ
*Mitume wao wakasema: Ati pana shaka na Mwenyezi Mungu, Muumba mbingu na ardhi? Yeye anakuiteni apate kukufutieni madhambi yenu, na akupeni muhula mpaka muda ulio wekwa. Wakasema: Nyinyi si chochote ila ni wanaadamu kama sisi. Mnataka kutuzuilia na waliyo kuwa wakiabudu baba zetu. Basi tuleteeni hoja ilio wazi.
*Their apostles said, ‘Is there any doubt about God, the originator of the heavens and the earth?! He calls you to forgive you a part of your sins, and grants you respite until a specified time.’ They said, ‘You are nothing but humans like us who desire to bar us from what our fathers used to worship. So bring us a clear authority.’
14:11
قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِنْ نَحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا أَنْ نَأْتِيَكُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
*Mitume wao wakawaambia: Sisi kweli si chochote ila ni wanaadamu kama nyinyi. Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu humfanyia hisani amtakaye katika waja wake. Wala sisi hatuwezi kuleta uthibitisho ila kwa idhini ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu ndio wategemee Waumini.
*Their apostles said to them, ‘We are indeed just human beings like yourselves; but God favours whomever of His servants that He wishes. We may not bring you an authority except by God’s leave, and in God alone let all the faithful put their trust.
14:12
وَمَا لَنَا أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانَا سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَا آذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
*Na tuna nini hata tusimtegemee Mwenyezi Mungu, na hali Yeye ametuongoa kwenye Njia zetu. Na hapana shaka sisi tutayavumilia hayo maudhi mnayo tuudhi. Na juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu wategemee wanao tegemea.
*And why should we not put our trust in God, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? Surely, we will put up patiently with whatever torment you may inflict upon us, and in God alone let all the trusting put their trust.’
14:13
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِي مِلَّتِنَا ۖ فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ
*Na walio kufuru wakawaambia Mitume wao: Tutakutoeni katika nchi yetu, au mrudi katika mila yetu. Basi Mola wao Mlezi aliwaletea wahyi: Hakika tutawaangamiza walio dhulumu!
*But the faithless said to their apostles, ‘Surely, we will expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.’ Thereat their Lord revealed to them: ‘We will surely destroy the wrongdoers,
14:14
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِي وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ
*Na tutakuwekeni katika ardhi baada yao. Haya ni kwa anaye ogopa kusimamishwa mbele yangu, na akaogopa maonyo yangu.
*and We will surely settle you in the land after them. This promise is for someone who is awed to stand before Me and fears My threat.’
14:15
وَاسْتَفْتَحُوا وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
*Na wakaomba ushindi, na akashindwa kila jabari mkaidi,
*They prayed for victory [against the infidels], and every stubborn tyrant was defeated,
14:16
مِنْ وَرَائِهِ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِنْ مَاءٍ صَدِيدٍ
*Ambaye nyuma yake ipo Jahannamu, na atanywishwa maji ya usaha.
*with hell lying ahead of him, where he shall be given to drink of a purulent fluid,
14:17
يَتَجَرَّعُهُ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُ وَيَأْتِيهِ الْمَوْتُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ ۖ وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ
*Awe anayagugumia, wala hawezi kuyameza. Na mauti yawe yanamjia kutoka kila upande, naye wala hafi. Na zaidi ya hayo ipo adhabu nyengine kali vile vile.
*gulping it down, but hardly swallowing it: death will assail him from every side, but he will not die, and there is a harsh punishment ahead of him.
14:18
مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ اشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ الرِّيحُ فِي يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ ۖ لَا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلَالُ الْبَعِيدُ
*Mfano wa walio mkufuru Mola wao Mlezi - vitendo vyao ni kama jivu linalo peperushwa kwa nguvu za upepo katika siku ya mdharba. Hawawezi kupata chochote katika waliyo yafanya. Huko ndiko kupotelea mbali!
*A parable of those who defy their Lord: their deeds are like ashes over which the wind blows hard on a tempestuous day: they have no power over anything they have earned. That is extreme error.
14:19
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
*Huoni kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ameziumba mbingu na ardhi kwa Haki? Akitaka atakuondoeni na alete viumbe wapya!
*Have you not regarded that God created the heavens and the earth with consummate wisdom? If He wishes, He will take you away and bring about a new creation,
14:20
وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ
*Na hilo kwa Mwenyezi Mungu si jambo gumu.
*and that is not a formidable thing for God.
14:21
وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا فَقَالَ الضُّعَفَاءُ لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ قَالُوا لَوْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهَدَيْنَاكُمْ ۖ سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَجَزِعْنَا أَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِنْ مَحِيصٍ
*Na wote watahudhuria mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Wanyonge watawaambia walio takabari: Sisi tulikuwa wafwasi wenu; basi hebu hamtuondolei kidogo hivi katika adhabu ya Mwenyezi Mungu? Watasema: Lau Mwenyezi Mungu angeli tuongoa basi hapana shaka nasi tungeli kuongoeni. Ni mamoja kwetu tukipapatika au tukisubiri; hatuna pa kukimbilia.
*Together, they will be presented before God. Then, those who were oppressed will say to the oppressors, ‘We were indeed your followers. So will you avail us against God’s punishment in any wise?’ They will say, ‘Had God guided us, we would have surely guided you. It is the same to us whether we are restless or patient: there is no escape for us.’
14:22
وَقَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لَمَّا قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ الْحَقِّ وَوَعَدْتُكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا أَنْ دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِي ۖ فَلَا تَلُومُونِي وَلُومُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۖ مَا أَنَا بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُصْرِخِيَّ ۖ إِنِّي كَفَرْتُ بِمَا أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗ إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
*Na Shet´ani atasema itapo katwa hukumu: Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu alikuahidini ahadi ya kweli. Nami nalikuahidini; lakini sikukutimizieni. Na sikuwa na mamlaka juu yenu, isipo kuwa nilikuiteni, nanyi mkaniitikia. Basi msinilaumu mimi, bali jilaumuni wenyewe. Mimi siwezi kuwa mtetezi wenu, wala nyinyi hamwezi kuwa watetezi wangu. Hakika mimi nilikataa tangu zamani kunishirikisha na Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika madhaalimu watakuwa na adhabu chungu.
*When the matter is all over, Satan will say, ‘Indeed, God made you a promise that was true and I too made you a promise, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot respond to your distress calls, neither can you respond to my distress calls. I indeed disavow your taking me for God’s partner heretofore. There is indeed a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.’
14:23
وَأُدْخِلَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَامٌ
*Na walio amini na wakatenda mema wataingizwa katika Mabustani yapitayo mito kati yake, wadumu humo kwa idhini ya Mola wao Mlezi. Maamkio yao humo yatakuwa: Salaam!
*Those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be admitted into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them, by the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be ‘Peace!’
14:24
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ
*Hebu hukuona vipi Mwenyezi Mungu alivyo piga mfano wa neno zuri? Ni kama mti mzuri, mizizi yake ni imara, na matawi yake yako mbinguni.
*Have you not regarded how God has drawn a parable? A good principle is like a good tree: its roots are steady and its branches are on high.
14:25
تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
*Hutoa matunda yake kila wakati kwa idhini ya Mola wake Mlezi. Na Mwenyezi Mungu huwapigia watu mifano ili wapate kukumbuka.
*It gives its fruit every season by the leave of its Lord. God draws these parables for mankind so that they may take admonition.
14:26
وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ
*Na mfano wa neno ovu ni kama mti muovu, ulio ng´olewa juu ya ardhi. Hauna imara.
*And the parable of a bad principle is that of a bad tree: uprooted from the ground, it has no stability.
14:27
يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَيُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الظَّالِمِينَ ۚ وَيَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ
*Mwenyezi Mungu huwatia imara wenye kuamini kwa kauli ya imara katika maisha ya dunia na katika Akhera. Na Mwenyezi Mungu huwaacha kupotea hao wenye kudhulumu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu hufanya apendavyo.
*God fortifies those who have faith with a constant creed in the life of this world and in the Hereafter, and God leads astray the wrongdoers, and God does whatever He wishes.
14:28
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ
*Hebu hukuwaona wale walio badilisha neema ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa kufuru, na wakawafikisha watu wao kwenye nyumba ya maangamizo?
*Have you not regarded those who have changed God’s blessing with ingratitude and landed their people in the house of ruin?
14:29
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ
*Nayo ni Jahannamu! Maovu yaliyoje makaazi hayo!
*—hell, which they shall enter, and it is an evil abode!
14:30
وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا لِيُضِلُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى النَّارِ
*Na walimfanyia Mwenyezi Mungu washirika ili wapoteze watu kwenye Njia yake. Sema: Stareheni! Kwani marejeo yenu ni Motoni!
*They have set up equals to God to lead people astray from His way. Say, ‘Enjoy, for indeed your destination is hellfire!’
14:31
قُلْ لِعِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَالٌ
*Waambie waja wangu walio amini, washike Sala, na watoe katika tulivyo waruzuku, kwa siri na dhaahiri, kabla haijafika Siku isiyo kuwa na biashara wala urafiki.
*Tell My servants who have faith to maintain the prayer and to spend from what We have provided them secretly and openly before there comes a day on which there will be neither any bargaining nor friendship.
14:32
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَكُمْ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِيَ فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْأَنْهَارَ
*Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye ziumba mbingu na ardhi, na akateremsha maji kutoka mbinguni. Na kwa hayo akatoa matunda kuwa ni riziki yenu. Na akafanya yakutumikieni majahazi yanayo pita baharini kwa amri yake, na akaifanya mito ikutumikieni.
*It is God who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down water from the sky and brings forth with it crops for your sustenance. And He disposed the ships for your benefit so that they may sail at sea by His command, and He disposed the rivers for you.
14:33
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ دَائِبَيْنِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ
*Na akalifanya jua na mwezi kwa manufaa yenu daima dawamu, na akaufanya usiku na mchana kwa manufaa yenu.
*He disposed the sun and the moon for you, constant in their courses, and He disposed the night and the day,
14:34
وَآتَاكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ ۚ وَإِنْ تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا ۗ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ
*Na akakupeni kila mlicho muomba. Na mkihisabu neema za Mwenyezi Mungu hamwezi kuzidhibiti. Hakika mwanaadamu ni dhaalimu mkubwa, mwenye kuzikufuru neema.
*and gave you all that you had asked Him. If you enumerate God’s blessings, you will not be able to count them. The human being is indeed most unfair and ungrateful!
14:35
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَٰذَا الْبَلَدَ آمِنًا وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَنْ نَعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ
*Na Ibrahim alipo sema: Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi! Ujaalie mji huu uwe wa amani, na uniepushe mimi na wanangu na kuabudu masanamu.
*When Abraham said, ‘My Lord! Make this city a sanctuary, and save me and my children from worshiping idols.
14:36
رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِنَ النَّاسِ ۖ فَمَنْ تَبِعَنِي فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي ۖ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَإِنَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
*Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi! Hakika hayo yamewapoteza watu wengi. Basi aliye nifuata mimi huyo ni wangu, na aliye niasi, hakika Wewe ni Mwenye kusamehe Mwenye kurehemu.
*My Lord! They have indeed misled many people. So whoever follows me indeed belongs with me, and as for those who disobey me, well, You are indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful.
14:37
رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ
*Mola wetu Mlezi! Hakika mimi nimewaweka baadhi ya dhuriya zangu katika bonde lisilo kuwa na mimea, kwenye Nyumba yako Takatifu, ewe Mola wetu Mlezi, ili washike Sala. Basi zijaalie nyoyo za watu zielekee kwao, na waruzuku matunda, ili wapata kushukuru.
*Our Lord! I have settled part of my descendants in a barren valley, by Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may maintain the prayer. So make the hearts of a part of the people fond of them, and provide them with fruits, so that they may give thanks.
14:38
رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِي وَمَا نُعْلِنُ ۗ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ
*Ewe Mola wetu Mlezi! Hakika Wewe unajua tunayo yaficha na tunayo yatangaza. Na hapana kitu kinacho fichikana kwa Mwenyezi Mungu katika ardhi wala katika mbingu.
*Our Lord! You indeed know whatever we hide and whatever we disclose, and nothing is hidden from God on the earth or in the heaven.
14:39
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي وَهَبَ لِي عَلَى الْكِبَرِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
*Alhamdulillahi! Himdi zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu aliye nipa juu ya uzee wangu Ismail na Is-haq. Hakika Mola wangu Mlezi ni Mwenye kusikia maombi.
*All praise belongs to God, who, despite my old age, gave me Ishmael and Isaac. My Lord indeed hears all supplications.
14:40
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ
*Mola wangu Mlezi! Nijaalie niwe mwenye kushika Sala, na katika dhuriya zangu pia. Ewe Mola wetu Mlezi, na ipokee dua yangu.
*My Lord! Make me a maintainer of prayer, and my descendants as well. Our Lord, accept my supplication.
14:41
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
*Mola wetu! Unighufirie mimi na wazazi wangu wote wawili, na Waumini, siku ya kusimama hisabu.
*Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and all the faithful, on the day when the reckoning is held.’
14:42
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ
*Wala usidhani Mwenyezi Mungu ameghafilika na wanayo yafanya madhaalimu. Hakika Yeye anawaakhirisha tu mpaka siku yatapo kodoka macho yao.
*Do not suppose that God is oblivious of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is only granting them respite until the day when the eyes will be glazed.
14:43
مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ ۖ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ
*Nao wako mbioni, vichwa juu, na macho hayapepesi, na nyoyo zao tupu.
*Scrambling with their heads upturned, there will be a fixed gaze in their eyes and their hearts will be vacant.
14:44
وَأَنْذِرِ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ الْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا رَبَّنَا أَخِّرْنَا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ ۗ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُوا أَقْسَمْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ زَوَالٍ
*Na waonye watu siku itapo wajia adhabu, na walio dhulumu waseme: Ewe Mola wetu Mlezi! Tuakhirishe muda kidogo tuitikie wito wako na tuwafuate Mitume. Kwani nyinyi si mliapa zamani kwamba hamtaondokewa?
*Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, ‘Our Lord! Respite us for a short time so that we may respond to Your call and follow the apostles.’ [They will be told,] ‘Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you,
14:45
وَسَكَنْتُمْ فِي مَسَاكِنِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ الْأَمْثَالَ
*Na mkakaa katika maskani zile zile za walio zidhulumu nafsi zao. Na ikakudhihirikieni jinsi tulivyo watendea. Nasi tukakupigieni mifano mingi.
*while you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves [before] and it had been made clear to you how We had dealt with them [before you], and We had also cited examples for you?’
14:46
وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ الْجِبَالُ
*Na kwa hakika walifanya vitimbi vyao, na vitimbi vyao anavijua Mwenyezi Mungu. Wala vitimbi vyao si vya kuondosha milima.
*They certainly devised their plots, but their plots are known to God, and their plots are not such as to dislodge the mountains.
14:47
فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انْتِقَامٍ
*Basi usimdhanie Mwenyezi Mungu kuwa ni mwenye kuwavunjia ahadi yake Mitume wake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kushinda, na ni Mwenye kulipiza.
*So do not suppose that God will break His promise to His apostles. Indeed, God is all-mighty, avenger.
14:48
يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ ۖ وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
*Siku itapo geuzwa ardhi iwe ardhi nyengine, na mbingu pia. Nao watahudhuria mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu Mmoja, Mwenye nguvu.
*The day when the earth is turned into another earth and the heavens as well, and they are presented before God, the One, the All-paramount
14:49
وَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ
*Na utaona wakhalifu siku hiyo wamefungwa katika minyororo;
*—on that day you will see the guilty bound together in chains,
14:50
سَرَابِيلُهُمْ مِنْ قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ
*Nguo zao zitakuwa za lami, na Moto utazigubika nyuso zao.
*their garments made of pitch and the Fire covering their faces,
14:51
لِيَجْزِيَ اللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
*Ili Mwenyezi Mungu ailipe kila nafsi kwa yale iliyo yachuma. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwepesi wa kuhisabu.
*so that God may reward every soul for what it has earned. God is indeed swift at reckoning.
14:52
هَٰذَا بَلَاغٌ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنْذَرُوا بِهِ وَلِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
*Hili ni Tangazo liwafikie watu, liwaonye, na wapate kujua kuwa hakika Yeye ni Mungu Mmoja, na wapate kukumbuka wenye akili.
*This is a proclamation for mankind, so that they may be warned thereby and know that He is indeed the One God, and those who possess intellect may take admonition.
